i saw that the creator (he’s from the uk) was a writer on the thick of it for the first 2 seasons. it explains so much to me why i love the humour in this haha, it’s really similar but this is just a bit more serious in an american context. then omfg the dundee episode was mad to me as someone who went to uni in dundee. the fact that a big american show like this had an episode in DUNDEE,,, omg that whole episode was a pure overload on the senses man hahaha. even the little hibs/hearts purchase was so funny, i knew that was gonna happen. little jokes in the writing that shows they’ve put in the effort to have a wee nod to scottish things, it makes me happy that the writers must have asked brian cox for some input on that episode 😆

The joke of this show is, everyone else speaks nonsense with rakish confidence, and Greg speaks common sense cautiously. Everyone thinks he's a fool, including himself, yet he's usually the smartest guy in the room.
He’s not necessarily the smartest but his lack of confidence makes him unassuming enough that he gets away with a lot more than other people in terms of being sneaky for his ambitions.

I don’t think Greg is going to end up as the successor, but he is definitely going to end up successful. He has been able to keep his morality more than any of the other characters and unless they have him become corrupted then I think he deserves to have a lot.
