My girlfriend bought it for me a few weeks ago. I am delighted with the flashlight. Fantastic for EDC, my only complaint is the length of the charging cable. I would throw out the string for carrying and I would put a cable of at least 30 cm
Can't agree more. Carried mine daily for I believe it was six years. It started not turning on every time even after recharging. Emailed Streamlight got a RMA # sent it in and a week later got a new light. Awesome service in my opinion.
It's a great light. I use mine daily and gifted one to my stepdad; he loves it. I got the OD colored ones that come on high first, but I plan on getting a black one because I decided I'd rather have it come on low first since it's a utility light and I don't usually need the high setting for my daily use. The only nick I give it is the battery on mine drains really fast compared to when it was new, (it's only a year old) but my stepdad says his is holding up great so I'll just buy a new battery for 11 bucks and that'll be that.
I have carried the stylus pro I like the longer run time . And I buy a microstream clip and put on the stylus pro and secure it with a piece of 5/8 heat shrink tubing cut the length of the tail cap. Used all of mine in shop and woods and letting my daughter play with it when she was little it's been in the bath dropped in a lake and snow and just great light . Heat shrink comes in bright colors as well.
I’m a Streamlight fan been carrying the Microstream USB or the Macrostream for a while. They have been rugged and dependable for me. I recently picked up a Thrunite Saber on Amazon and it has replaced my long used Streamlights as my EDC. It is USB C rechargeable but can run on a standard AA in a pinch which is a huge advantage. I haven’t had it long enough to see if it’s going to be as rugged and dependable yet.
I’ve carried my Streamlight Microstream USB for 4 years now. The coyote brown finish has worn off quite a bit, but it’s in my pocket every day and gets used, even if briefly, every day. Microstream in one pocket and my Benchmade Mini Boost Black in the other.
ive used mine for almost 10 years. one of the most useful tools to carry on your person in my opinion. i use it all the time. my only criticism is that its so small you forget you have it. ive accidentally found it in the washing machine twice now over the years because i forgot it was clipped to my pants when doing laundry. when it finally breaks i think ill replace it with the slightly longer 2 battery version.
@@user-im6fy4qp6mi can tell you from experience with both. Get the coyote tan usb rechargeable. Every other color comes on low first, must double tap for high. The tan is opposite. Unless you prefer low first.
And i had the non rechargeable for about 10 years, and i found it in a mud puddle at deer camp. The rechargeable one ive had now since 2018, and its been through the torture of my ownership. Still rocking. Get a streamlight replacement battery right away and label them 1 and 2 or a and b. Keep the spare in the backpack or truck. Thank me later.
thanks for the firsthand review sir im sold. going to pick one up. i use the nonrechargeable one almost every day. either checking things at work or jsut getting a better view of something hard to read if its small, taking out the trash at night, going on walks. its probably my most used piece of gear besides my cell phone. and i prefer the standalone light to using the one on my phone because i can expose ti to rain or drop it without feeling guilty @@Knuckleheaded76
My son is a car dealership mechanic, and Microstream USB’s are all he uses. He occasionally loses his lights on his job. I’ll give him a couple new ones about once a year to keep his backup supply good.
I have this flashlight in the coyote brown color. I tried to love it but the runtimes are horrendous. It's definitely not the best choice for EDC in my humble opinion.
I’ve had two of these for 6 years now. I carry one with me everywhere, and use them all the time.
Streamlight really does make some nice shit. Weaponlights as well
I gotta get one of these to keep in my daily use backpack! Awesome.
I’ve been carrying this flashlight since I was on active duty, it stays on my work key ring, great little light.

i just realized your version is slightly different because its rechargeable. mine is the 1AAA battery version. that USB rechargeable one looks nice

Can you use a generic 10440 battery in the Microstream?
