I’ve been EDCing the i5r EOS for a about a month now. Plenty of light for dark morning/evening walks. Comfortable in pocket, USB C rechargeable battery, tail switch and fills my hand nicely. I like what you said about the i5t plus- it feels like yours and personalised.
I have the titanium version of it, it's an awesome flashlight I like the run times on it. I like the option to switch it from rechargeable batteries to regular AA if needed.
Last year i didnt carry a flashlight or see a need, now im a full fledged olight salesman who gets free gear to review, but i also want to point out i bought a few of these with my own money and i have a nifty accent, so its totally cool, organic and on the up and up! What a success story!!!!
NOW YOU’RE TALKING MY LANGUAGE! I’m such a huge light nerd. I’m not much into the smaller lights, as I prefer lights with high candela output. I carry a full sized Modlite OKW with the Thyrm Switchback on it. Larger in size but that’s the price to pay. I haven’t had much luck with Olight, but I’ve loved the lights I’ve picked up from RovyVon. Another banger Marcus keep it coming.
I’m on the steep part of the learning curve when it comes to lights. Only really started carrying on this year but already have too many 😂. Will reach out to Modlite see if they’re interested in sending me one for review. 👍🏻
I''ve heard from a german TH-camr, that if you want to get sponsored by Olight, you're not allowed to say something bad about them, even if they are bad
Interesting. This video was not sponsored by Olight (in fact I bought most of these myself). And my experience was not like your German friend working with them. They sent me their new products for review with no strings attached. I can stand over my review. Great flashlights for the price.
I've owned many olights they used to be more geared towards personal defense with instant strobe and a nasty bezel that could crack a head wide open. They've came a long way. We're in a special Era of lighting technology
the Wuben E7 impressed me as well, grabbed it for $23 recently and puts out 1800 lumens, great pocket carry.. love Olights though, have the baton 4, Baton Turbo, Seeker 4 Pro, Warrior X4, Marauder Mini and so on.. but despite this the Wuben E7 comes everywhere with me due to form factor and having that USBC charging.
Hey I’m a bit late to your channel but I’m so glad I found it!! Love your Olight selections! :) I have a secret for you that you may have missed! It’s called the iR2 Pro :) it’s the perfect balance between size, functionality, and practicality! I’m surprised you didn’t include it in your video but I’m hoping you found it before this comment! :) It’s a great light that has two brightness levels, twists on and off, and best of all, it is USB-C rechargeable! It’s right in between the mini and i3 in terms of size and it’s very affordable. Very impressive beam that is cool in colour but extremely usable and effective!! You will truly enjoy it :)
Ive run the Baldor, warrior, baton 3 pro, mini valkry, I5r eos , Ir2 eos. My i5r and ir2 eos are worn smooth. The clips can snag and break but since they now sell replacements ill live with the added functionality, my mini Valkry skid 30+yds due to a motorcycle accident and its still going. The fact there rechargeable is nice, add a solar panel/power cell youll never be without a light in the woods
EDC has been a thing since we were still monkeys lol We just didnt call it that. But I did just buy a Baton 3, I am trying to save size and weight wherever possible as I am already carrying an knife, a 9mm, and a wallet.
Great video as ever, you could do this professionally, excellent content, genuine well delivered review. I rock with a number of olights, unfortunately I purchase from light uk, run by “Fermanagh Man” Tom, but a very expensive hobby now with Sterling v Euro. Happy New Year! P
The laser pointer has many uses. One for a teacher or professor during a lecture or those with cats, the cat will chase it and have fun with it. Some dogs do it too.
Can you please check if Perun 2 Mini can be used from an external battery via cable? That would give extended autonomy. If yes, are all the modes Lo, Med and Hi available? or only the Low Thank you
I use the red light so I can read a map and my eyes will not be blinded by the white light. The red light won't travel far. Use the while light to signal in case of emergency.
Only buy them during Olight's sales. I missed out on the perun 2 mini when it was on sale in December so I waited and got it during their most recent sale.
@CanItAlready good tip. Actually did buy one during recent sale. Unfortunately, very disappointed with narrow hot beam and returned. Seems like a floody beam is a lot more useful than a pen light on your head...
OLIGHT worst flashlights for premium priced flashlights when issue arise they don't honor the warrenty .don't spend money on olight only the you tuber hype this company otherwise they not worth in high end flashlights category.
Not my experience with them. I had a light damaged by a leaky battery. They offered me a replacement. And when the switch on my i3t started to malfunction they sent me a new tailcap.
I've owned many name brand lights and from my experience the olights have been some of the most reliable, highest quality manufacturing and longest lasting flashlights with a great customer service department. I agree that they're marketing is extremely effective, get a Baton 3 pro max with 2 additional lights for $75 now vs paying $90 later for just the Baton. Say what you want but I've not found a sub $100 light with the same quality as what olight brings to the table.

Thanks buddy. I’m going to take this at face value. Appreciate the positivity. Thanks for watching and commenting.
My Olight S1r2 has served me well for years, ideal edc torch.
Glad you like it

@@MarcusCreates that's nice to hear^^ maybe it's just her experience alone. Probably bad luck or so
Sorry but isn't that the exact idea of sponsorship? You're paid to say good things?
YOU’RE bad. Lol

I can’t believe how powerful these tiny flashlights are. You really can’t go wrong with any of these on the list

Thank you for the lineup. Where are the beam shot comparisons?
I should have done some to be fair. Next time. Thanks for watching.
The workmanship is very beautiful, small and exquisite!
Great review.! I have a baton 3 and love it, it’s small plenty of light and only 2.5 inches long
Right on 🤘🏻

New edc gear head, love the content my dude!!
Thanks buddy. Hopefully finding something useful in these ranting.
Your videos are awesome
You actually talk about everything we see in the thumbnail
I do my best. Thanks for watching :)
Great video, I would like more close ups of the flashlights and size comparisons than shots of you holding them that’s my only critique
Noted! Appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching.
Peru 2 mini ❤
I have the Perun 2 full sized. That line are all beasts.
I have a new favorite. The Baton 4. ❤️
The Baton 3 is THE light for EDC. I started carrying a Surefire for EDC dad duties back in 2000. Before edc was a thing.
Love it. ‘Before EDC was EDC’. Old school.
EDC has been a thing since we were still monkeys lol We just didnt call it that. But I did just buy a Baton 3, I am trying to save size and weight wherever possible as I am already carrying an knife, a 9mm, and a wallet.
Very beautiful!
i3T EOS with Eneloop pro my go to flashlight , eneloop gives me super long runtimes on high ( about 1 hour ) and all packed in super small size .
Thanks for sharing. Super insightful.
try a 10440 in ur i3t .. becomes a beast!
Great advice. Will give it a go. 👍🏻

The exchange rate is crazy at the moment alright. Makes coming home cheaper for me at the minute while the dollar is strong 💪🏼
Olight sells a USB C to magnet adapter. Really great if you want to bring an olight travelling.
That’s good to know. Maybe I’ll reach out to them and ask to review it.
For the Perun 2 mini, is the 1100 lumen output can be had with a single click? For emergency use against an approaching dog scenario. TIA
You missed the i5t, a single AA light, it’s always in my pocket and bedside. Shorter than the orange i5t plus
The laser pointer has many uses. One for a teacher or professor during a lecture or those with cats, the cat will chase it and have fun with it. Some dogs do it too.
Makes sense 😊
Please never do this with a dog.

I’m sad to say I’m misplaced my Perun 2. Classic me.
can you show us the light in the dark? this is my first video watching so idk if you do it in other videos
Great EDC is the perun mini 2 tiny but powerful
Yes
Sr95 the Best!
do you have the Cool White or the Natural White beams im torn between the two what’s ur recommendation
I actually have both. Prefer the cool white
You missed the perfect Olight EDC light, the Warrior Mini series.
I’ve never used the Warrior Mini’s. Will add them to the list of flashlights to review. 👍🏻
You might want to add a light close to your camera so we can see better if you hold something close
That’s super advice. Will rig up an LEd just above the camera so when I do the close ups they’re not in the shadow
Cool vidéo thanks !
Thanks 😊
for anyone just finding this video like me IPX8 is 1.5-2 meters of water for 30 min not 2 min
Thank you
I love how he says “fleshlight”

That makes sense. Thanks for sharing. I like to use the red light when we’re camping so I don’t blind the kids when I look at them
IPX8 is 2m for 2 minutes?
Or 2m for 30 minutes?
I’m not sure
It’s 2m for 30 min.
1000 lumen or more is good for self defense (you can blind robbers)
I’m far more likely to blind myself 🤣
MOB haha, nice.
50% price increase on the Prerun mini in 3 months. That didn't age well...
😬

Surefire 🤙🏻
Will check them out
$45 for the perun 2 mini……. It’s over $60 now
That’s a sign it must be a success for Olight. It’s a beauty of a flashlight.
The purpose of the red light is not for emergency use. Do some research.
Nah. Thanks for watching. 😊

Olight is a marketing company disguised as a flashlight company. Try some decent brands like Surefire, Malkoff, or Elzetta.
That’s good advice, will check some out.
