- Saudi Arabia has restricted the volume of loudspeakers at mosque.
The move has been met with both applause & resentment. But what led to this decision?

God, why is this so true. There are reasons for this, but nevertheless true
In Arab World Arab Muslims are not secular Islam instead they follow Conservative Wahabism-based Islam but they are the creators of Islamist fundamentals that nurtured Turkey, India, and Pakistan to make them conservative rather than pure liberal Islamic practice and belief. India, Pakistan, and Turkey are students of Arab Wahabist teachers in Western Asia.

absolutely... so well said
In Singapore, loudspeakers at the mosque was completely banned. The Muslim community was awarded 2 frequencies on the radio that cannot be used for anything except the call to prayer. If you want to hear the call to prayer, set your radio and leave it on. It only makes a sound when the call to prayer comes on and then goes quite again. If you don't want to hear it, don't set your radio.
Wow!! This is really innovative!!
Good plan
this is genius
Super thought!!
Not only radio frequencies can be used, in North America, we receive Amber Alert on our cellphones when a child is abducted. The same can be used to announce Islamic calls for prayers. When I was in Malaysia on a business trip, I got waken up at 3:00 a.m. by a mosque loudspeaker near my company's sleeping quarters playing Islamic music/sermon! I went, "Are you serious, waking up all the residents at 3 a.m.? Do people even have to work during the day in Malaysia if you get awaken at wee hours every night?"
Here in India Sonu Nigan first put forth this opinion. He was Threatened.
Judged is a very weak word. The word you are looking for is death threats my man.

@@debasishraychawdhuri Maybe because I do not know about the Hindu religion but a long time ago, some religions call for prayers by bell or trumpet in certain countries. So, Islam is unique because it calls all the people to pray together at the same time. So, maybe it is also unique to call the prayers by azan. The clock cannot call the prayers. Maybe that is the difference.

Islam doesn't need to reform itself. it's made once and finished, that's it. people might change it but Islam never changes. the so called "islamist" extremist groups have too changed Islam so that they can justify their wrongdoings. the prophet of Islam never said to give the azaan from the loud speaker . so no problem if loud speaker is used or not. simple as that!

Ziezie wow, I’m an Indonesian and this comment makes me disgusted. It’s not about ‘dont like it dont visit, get out of the country ‘. It’s about tolerance and living in diversity and harmony. Sometimes the noise it too loud. You aren’t the only one living in that area, you know. I was once sick and needed rest, but the noise was too loud to rest properly. It’s about respecting each other’s religious freedom and rights cause we have the same rights and freedom under the constitution.
Rod & Staff true. And last year a family was mobbed for having an online Sunday Service at home due to the pandemic. The protesters said they were disturbing the neighborhood. Now imagine hearing the loudspeakers every single day for many times.
@Ziezie same goes with the malay weddings there. The noise starts from early morning till late afternoon on some weekends. That's tolerance. And let's face it, if a minority write in to complain/feedback about noise stemming from the majority in the country you are living in now, NO ONE is going to jail.
Speaking of expecting majority to bend their culture as you argued, yes what an irony, tons of middle eastern and north african 'refugees' are doing exactly that in europe. And when things go against their expectations, islamophobia accusations flung from every direction.
