This is what will get you a big surprise if you buy in the wrong spot. Some places charges as much as 45 000 baht a year on top of very expensive electricity per unit. Make sure you check those details before buying.

I was confused what type of ticket to get since some info I found online said Thailand won't let you enter is you don't have an onward or round-trip ticket. Maybe they are talking about people coming in as a tourist and not with a 90 day Non-O visa for the purpose of obtaining the retirement visa.
