Its crazy to see how overall talent has changed in drum corps. Now everyone's brass sound is amazing, not just a few groups or crown.

I’d argue that it’s largely due to the growth of the internet. There is so much free information now, and anyone can learn how to play an instrument without being in a traditional learning environment. There are tutorials on how to prepare for auditions, how to increase your range, strength and conditioning for marchers, and so much more; the internet has also increased the visibility and popularity of drum corps, so there may be a larger pool of applicants for corps to choose from now. The knowledge is there for anyone who feels like getting better

they’re cool and all but the reason most corps don’t uses them is because they tarnish easily if i’m remembering correctly

i’m pretty sure the troopers always use gold horns. it’s like there thing which is pretty cool. the only other group that has matched gold horns was crown in 2010

Do you mean ” brass”! Are these not polished brass. I think everyone is so used to seeing the chrome lacquer. Brass horns When they were G chromed. And Bb normally polished brass with clear coat lacquering.

Music is why humans are on this planet. It's what we were designed for. Every single one of our senses, and for some musicians it's damn near every one of their muscles, in perfect harmony to produce something that literally only other humans can understand and appreciate.

When she points it’s like watching a Harloff clone. Not saying that’s a bad thing at all. This tuning sequence just works, and I’d argue that whatever Harloff and the Crown brass crew do works. It’s smart to emulate it. Hope the Troopers do well this season.

My biggest regret in life is not marching more drum corps. I want everyone who is seeing this comment and debating whether to focus on “their future” versus taking advantage of the opportunity while they have it before they turn 22…
Just march guys. When I was 19 in my first year I thought I’d have more time. And then I didn’t match the next year and so on and so forth until I couldn’t anymore.
Don’t worry about your long or even short-term future. You have only so many years of your life to march DCI.
    MARCH MARCH MARCH!

All bands down to high schools have used it. It’s normal they don’t care about “copying” petty bs. If it works then then does they clearly share and okay with it 💯🙄
