*You can support the channel with TH-cam Channel Memberships or through Buy Me a Coffee. Never expected, but always appreciated.❤Links in Description!* These dudes blew my mind!! I have never heard a cello played like this!! 🔥🔥
Their cover of Highway to Hell with Steve Vai is one of the best followed by Iron Maiden the Trooper. They have a great rabbit hole to go down for sure.
From what I remember, they're Croatian cellists who are classically trained, and musical rivals in their youths. They teamed up for some really cool covers and live performances. I don't think they tour anymore, but that's just recently. They also paired with a very talented drummer in their most recent years (don't rembeber the name), who added another leevel of rock vibe to their performances. They have tons on videos on TH-cam, and are all worth a watch! I suggest their cover off MJ's Smooth Criminal next.
Yes, it's really them playing (with a littl help from sampling) - there's a live concert version online, too. Their cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" is hot. And just to shine a light on their classical background, listen to "Mombasa", performed live at Suntory Hall in Tokyo. And any of their live concerts - these guys are rock stars 🔥I'm so glad you've added them to your list! Please continue down this rabbit hole ❤
This was my intro to 2Cellos and fell in love. If you wanna add drums, check out their live Smells Like Teen Spirit. It's sick!! Ultimately, my favorite is With or Without You. I was privileged to see them live a few years ago. Just fantastic! I love them in the same way that Metallica S&M. I've always enjoyed listening to music, especially played in unconventional arrangements or parodies. If you wanna go down a few rabbit holes, here's some picks: (1) Greta Van Fleet - Meeting the Master or Weight of Gold (2) Weird Al - Ebay, Trigger Happy or White & Nerdy (3) The Moody Blues - Knights in White Satin: There's 3 different versions Now, go get it!
Recently, the cellist on the left (named Hauser) who was on the ground shredding at the end, attended a conference for virtuosos where he did a performance with Dimash. 🤯👏
MAN 😮 WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?? These two MASTER CELLO PLAYERS have been touring together for at least ten years!! SOLD OUT CONCERTS AROUND THE WORLD! You name it and they play it!! Classical to Rock to Metal and everything in between! Go on to TH-cam and listen to their huge music repertoire! They used to be rivals in competition, then they joined forces and became THE TWO CELLOS…. They are very funny and do comical bits as they play. I believe they were both child protégées… But at least they are master players now. You have to check out all their music that’s on TH-cam. Just beautiful astonishing music.
I was hoping you'd react to this soon. The first time I saw this, my mind was blown. So blown that I forgot English and could only utter prehistoric guttural sounds. They should show videos like these in grade school to inspire kids to learn to play an instrument.
They also have a video with Steve Vai! I haven't seen these guys in a while - LOVE them! Their story is they were competitors b/c they were both considered the best in their orchestras. Then some guy approached them and said they should team up together - and THIS happened!
Saw these guys about 10 years ago, they opened for Elton John in Bethel NY. So cool, they played like four songs and then it was Elton time. Pretty neat.
I love these two guys. I live in the middle of Wyoming so I doubt it would ever happen, but I would love to go see these guys. They are a good group to dive into more of their covers.
I’ve always thought the classical composers/musicians were truly the rock stars of their eras. The passion put into a lot of classical music is just like the passion of metal/rock. Thanks to growing up, watching Loony Tunes, I appreciate classical music lol. ☮️❤️😎🎼
Second time seeing it. It's awesome! Love, the mix of old instruments and modern music. Check out the HU doing Metallica "Through the Never. They use traditional Mongolian instruments. They rock! Great reaction.
They did "Hiway to Hell" with Steve Vai....Check that one for sure. Also Their version of "Smooth Criminal" is one of the best things to ever happen to a Michell Jackson song.
Okay, if you want to hear cellos playing heavy metal, you should definitely look into the Finnish band Apocalyptica as well. Their covers of Metallica songs like Nothing Else Matters and Welcome Home (Sanitarium) spring to mind as favorites of mine.
2Cellos are fricking awesome. I saw them live and they are just as if not more energetic. You should check out the Smooth Criminal video and The Trooper Overture video. Great reaction. ❤️🤘✝️🌹
:D When somebody sits you down at a dining table with several different spoons forks & knives on each side of the plate, you take a deep breath, smile and glance around the table while watching what everybody else is doing as you begin using those spoons & forks & knives of different sizes, shapes and sharpness on each side of *your* plate. Dining can be an adventure at times. :)
They are an amazing rabbit hole to go down. I'll bet you didn't know they used to tour with Elton John? Check out Trouper and Smooth Criminal to start. Then maybe a concert or two. They've guested with some very talented people.
These guys have been around while and are crazy good. They started out on America's got talent when they were quite young. Check out their world tour in Barcelona.
Let's Gooo. ! I'm watching this for the first time with you. I've heard a lot about this. For those about to rock from AC/DC should be next. Peace out Steven ☮️ ✌️ 🙏Edit I would definitely go and see them live. I never knew the Cello could be so cool 😎 😅
They did used to perform with a drummer when they were playing live. You probably need to check out "Smells Like Teen Spirit" live at the Sydney Opera House. They've both amicably decided to split to concentrate on solo projects, (they are both classical cellists), but there's always a possibility that they might get back together again one day.
I saw them on that hack show America's Got Talent, and because they weren't 10 yo or handicapped or of color they didn't get very far, but THIS is the epitome of talent!
you gotta check out "back in baroque"? sp. it was a classical cover/rendition of the entire back in black album. I owned and loved it on CD decades ago. as a matter of fact I'ma 'bout to search it just as soon as I finish watching this reaction! keep doin' what your doin'!
Yep, this is insanely good! Loved it from the first time I heard/saw it! Some other good covers of Thunderstruck are from Steve´n Seagulls and another one from The bad piper. For another incredible cover, check out Porkka Playboys with "Bohemian raphsody". Then there is Hayseed Dixie, with many rock covers in bluegrass.
Check out their cover of Iron Maiden's "The Trooper." They also have a great cover of "Highway to Hell" on electric cellos with Steve Vai. Thanks for the great reactions.
If you like this sort of stuff then you might like The Midnight String Quartet. They do a really cool renditions of Volbeat for one. Lola Montez is pretty cool. Of course the actual Volbeat song kicks ass and there are some really epic live performances with giant crowds and I know you dig that. Take that cello and turn it on its side- chello. If you know then you know.
These guys are great, and they have a lot more besides Thunderstruck they also do Highway to Hell with Steve Vai. They are playing electric cellos in the Highway to Hell video.
@Steve-gx9ot A band from Europe that plays thunderstruck with different instruments, starts with a guy on a riding lawnmower with an animal hat with an accordion. They are worth checking out! Peace from Northern!
Here one of my favorite 2 Cellos performances. Mombasa from Inception, performed live. It doesn't demonstrate their full range, but I love how they just went in and STAYED IN until the end. th-cam.com/video/VZbwZlNEeew/w-d-xo.html
These 2 guys have done a few videos where they played rock music on their cellos. As a fellow cello player I can tell you that what they did is extremely difficult to do and you have to be a professional to play that way.
Kevin Olusola, The beatboxer for Pentatonix, Is a world class cello player. He has performed at Carnegie hall. There's a video called Kevin's 5th that is the backstory of how Kevin came to be with Pentatonix and the progression of his cello boxing. He beatboxes while playing the cello. If you're not sure what this was Kevin's pretty much the same. You will really enjoy it And really appreciate appreciate the cello Even more than you do. He will Play it in videos Sometimes
Stjepan Hauser is an amazing cellist. He is the guy on the left of your video, in the lighter colored costume. His performance of Shostakovich us Waltz No. 2 is just one example. Besides the fact that he is playing his heart out and giving that cello a workout, he's flirting and winking at the ladies sitting up front. What a pergormance. th-cam.com/video/p_fprzrHvIM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CiTjsvNxbIfyxf4t Enjoy!
A must listen of classical gone great update is ELO's version of Roll Over Beethoven. Even if you don't review, just listen to the amazing music and all the various instruments. th-cam.com/video/WO1dLCOJ7m4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PAtzquJZJp6m0JTj th-cam.com/video/yGR3DV4mqBA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5NupHBxMaKWeXhS- The first video is an audio version and is much better than the second. The second video is a live concert. Jeff Lynne and his band are all on spot, but Jeff really goes nuts on his guitar. There are a lot of covers of the original of this song, but even the Beatles couldn't hold a candle to ELO. Enjoy!

“ I guess you guys aren’t ready for it yet, but your kids are going to love it” -Marty McFly 😅
snap... I was just about to write this lol. :)
❤❤❤😂
In the past year, Hauser has performed with Dimash (Ave Maria and SOS). A great combination.
Steven Tyler performed "Dream On" and "Walk This Way" with 2 Cellos at the Roman Colosseum. Vid available on YT.
Their cover of Highway to Hell with Steve Vai is one of the best followed by Iron Maiden the Trooper. They have a great rabbit hole to go down for sure.

Luka is from Slovenia and Stjepan is from Croatia ❤ my home country
@@JBjopa8 Luka's father is Croatian.
@RossWrock yes Luka is born in Slovenia but his father is from Dubrovnik right? And his mom is from Slovenia
These 2 were amazing together especially because they were such competitors before they started collaborating.
Yes, it's really them playing (with a littl help from sampling) - there's a live concert version online, too. Their cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" is hot. For context, one of Angus Young's signature moves is to spin on the floor while playing guitar.
Gotcha!!! Super cool! 🤘🏻
This was my intro to 2Cellos and fell in love. If you wanna add drums, check out their live Smells Like Teen Spirit. It's sick!! Ultimately, my favorite is With or Without You.

Been slipping but glad I found them now! Straight 🔥🔥
They no longer tour together, but at least Hauser still performs. Love these guys! Anything and everything they play!
Who thought you could head bang to Cellos ❤
The Trooper Overture is a banger!
They are great at combining classical and rock in way you do not expect. They have a large catalog of music you need to look at
This goes way harder than it should! I LOVE IT!
I was hoping you'd react to this soon. The first time I saw this, my mind was blown. So blown that I forgot English and could only utter prehistoric guttural sounds. They should show videos like these in grade school to inspire kids to learn to play an instrument.
Haha 😂 No doubt! So killer! 🔥🔥

More 2Cellos. The Trooper, Highway To Hell, and some awesome classical tracks
You should see their version of Queen- show must go on. It's equally mind blowing.

I've seen this many times but it's the first time noticing the guy banging on the back of the Cello, great reaction.
Really appreciate it! 😁
Oni su iz Hrvatske!
Their version of "Trooper" is awesome. You should definitely check it out.
17 forks lol that made me properly laugh! Great reaction, love this performance :) They've done Iron Maiden's The Trooper too, that's worth a viewing
Music is just freakin awesome!

The British have an expression for the look on your face….Gobsmacked.
Some of their live concert stuff is amazing too.
They also covered Hendrix 'Purple Haze'
It would be a dream come true to see these two guys doing a command performance with Kevin Olusola.
