Great coverage! The XBloom, Oracle Jet, Aiden, and Meticulous are all looking extremely impressive. Pushing towards the ideal of automation and perfect consistency while still giving the user full control. The Meticulous in particular is looking fantastic, I love the innovation.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the xBloom Studio! I personally think you'll love the flavor profile of the grinder turned all the way down to 60 rpm, as it can hit some massive clarity and high extractions. I'll see you at the next show!
Thank you for making this video. It's such a great help for people who couldn't attend the expo like me and also slow with the current speed of new products keep releasing
Nice coverage. Enjoyed the coffee shop hopping. Interested in the fellow... And oh snap it's hoon in the background at the end. Glad he made it to a show lol
Any idea when that new Varia smaller espresso scale will get released? I don't want to get the existing one only to find out I could have waited a month for a smaller form factor
From a temperature, accuracy and brewing dynamics perspective I think it would definitely be a step up from the Breville. As always, more importantly, will be what grinder you choose to pair with with it
Honestly I’m really most excited about the Breville. Might not make the greatest coffee compared to other brands in the market but the coffee is still really good especially for your average user. At companies, one of the BIGGEST issues with trying to get an espresso machine is that they are not fool proof to the average person with no experience and they require someone dedicated to maintaining them. This more or less self cleans and does all the difficult steps for the user. Just wish they made it plumable
Truth is a dual boiler really isn't ideal for most homes unless they really need 5+ consecutive drink capacity Home machines are moving towards energy efficiency and user experience
The Aiden, as it dos both single cup and batch, lot of customisation of profiles and it’s nice to see they gave lot of thought about temperature and at an actual manageable price point. X-bloom is still a fun concept and it’s good they now allow more, I do still think they need to make a grinder less version and a more appealing price point. Not many are going to find it a good investment especially now they Aiden is out, the first also had serious issues with brewing high EY% with very light roast.
Wasn't there in Expo any new espresso machine ? Aren't they developing any ? Like the Rocket Biccoca ? And no, Breville develops appliances, not machines. La Marzocco should bring more "features" to their newest machine, Micra Synesso should show more their new home machines Where were they in the EXPO ? There was definitely lots of grinders there. The new Mx Cool, the Mazzer Philos, Zerno ...
I think breville dropped the ball without having a dual boiler. I have the barista touch & love. I use it in commercial shoots and often prep 12 drinks same time. So without dual boil option thats impossible. I would have upgraded (one for home) but not with a single boiler.
The Barista Touch does not have a dual boiler, I believe you're referring to the Oracle Touch :) This machine is not a replacement for the Oracle Touch, this is a lower model to bridge the gap between the Touch Impress and base Oracle. An upgraded dual heating version is apparently still to come
The Fellow Aiden was the most interesting new product but the Zerno Z1 winning the SCA best product was 👌 Did you order a Z1? Is it arriving soon? Can't wait for your review of it as well.
Im not a fan of the toggling between batch and single serve on the aiden. Im gonna forget that for sure n hopefully thats not gonna flood the single serve. Also having to use my fingers to toggle at where water is coming out is not very hygienic
Maybe just in the fact that it's a circle, but Fellow has been doing those for a long long time on the Stagg. Meticulous display is MUCH more high resolution
Why nobody talks about the coffee producers , the most important of the coffee chain , without them we won’t have this stupid machines for making a cup a Joe..it doesn’t matter how incredibly coffee machines could be, if tou dont have a good specialty coffee , this became completely trash….
Really not an area that I have much knowledge in, so I don't feel like I could provide particularly valuable content on the subject at this time. But this is a big part of why I wanted to show some awesome local cafes and roasters. Same as my Copenhagen video! Lots of great people spreading producer awareness like Kyle Rowsell, Brian Quan, Lance, etc :)
@LifestyleLab_ that's a great reason to ask questions. This industry exists, largely on the back of essentially slave labor. And specialty coffee isn't alone with exploiting farmers. Anyone that drinks coffee owes the farmers to at least be informed and empathize while we enjoy using grinders that cost more than someone's yearly salary
It is okay to discuss certain topics of an industry without diving into others. Not every equipment discussion needs to also loop in the topic of ethical farming. You can provide value in a certain area, it doesn't mean you're disregarding others.

Fellow absolutely CRUSHING it lately.
I bought myself a Fellow Ode Gen 2 w/ SSP burrs and it's fantastic.
Fellow Aiden for sure. I think this will be my new favorite tool to make great coffee.
I agree on this as well. I already have gen2 ode this will be the chef kiss I hope
I ordered an Aiden the first pre-orders were available.
@@JeepBigE I need to wait for pre orders in Poland. From what I see only UK in Europe have preorders.
Pre ordered here … will pair well with Ode Gen 2
Great coverage!

That Meticulous machine looks like art. Great video!
Would fit in suuuper well with your aesthetic! That plus a Weber EG-1 for you and Kristi?
Best coverage yet by far!! Well done
Thank you!
Thank you for making this video. It's such a great help for people who couldn't attend the expo like me and also slow with the current speed of new products keep releasing
Sweeeeet!
Great coverage
maybe the best product of all were the friends we made along the way
just kidding, it was robot barista
Zerno Z1 is amazing!
It really is!
Great video and recap for those of us who couldn't be there!
Zerno quality looks great!
It's unreal. Dosing cup alone is SOLID metal
@@LifestyleLab_ Not many can claim that their products are pure metal. I love it.
Great video! For those of us who didn’t go this helps us feel like we were there.
Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for a great coverage!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was such a comprehensive video ❤❤❤❤
Nice coverage. Enjoyed the coffee shop hopping. Interested in the fellow... And oh snap it's hoon in the background at the end. Glad he made it to a show lol
2:24 a wild Kyle Rowsell appears
Love the Decent DE1, still unrivaled.
Meticulous is looking good.
Any idea when that new Varia smaller espresso scale will get released? I don't want to get the existing one only to find out I could have waited a month for a smaller form factor
Unfortunately I don't know exact timing, sorry
Sage Precision brewer can do single brew as well ;)
I wonder what the price point of the new breville will be
Fellow is doing great things!
They're always pushing the limits, I really like that about their team
I kinda like that xBloom machine @12:12
Team xBloom haha
It's a nice new iteration from them
@@LifestyleLab_ what’s so different than the last model?
Lots!
New manual brewing knobs, a scale in the base, new brewing cone... review coming Monday!
What are your thoughts on fellow aiden vs the xbloom for the enthusiast that enjoys the above average cup of coffee? Thanks!
Depends on what grinder you will be pairing with Aiden, and if you typically brew single cups at a time or larger batches
I'm really curious about the Breville Oracle Jet's cold brew and iced coffee options. Can't seem to find any info about these.
Wish I spotted them so I could ask while I was there. You all have good eyes
Is the Fellow better than the Sage Precision Brewer? Have had the latter for years, may be due an upgrade.
From a temperature, accuracy and brewing dynamics perspective I think it would definitely be a step up from the Breville. As always, more importantly, will be what grinder you choose to pair with with it
Thank you Sir. 😊
Thanks for the video, but I cannot get excited about a Breville upgrade 😂. Most excited about the meticulous!
Different target markets! Aha. Expo always has a little something for everyone :)
Honestly I’m really most excited about the Breville. Might not make the greatest coffee compared to other brands in the market but the coffee is still really good especially for your average user. Maybe the VS6 will not have the gears break like the VS3 gen 1 and 2… if they still did not fix that, then they should re evaluate selling grinders.
Not really any dual boiler home espresso machine focus these days?
Truth is a dual boiler really isn't ideal for most homes unless they really need 5+ consecutive drink capacity
Home machines are moving towards energy efficiency and user experience
The Zerno looks really nice, but with an estimated dispatch in January 25…….9 month……. My girl can make a baby in that time
The Aiden, as it dos both single cup and batch, lot of customisation of profiles and it’s nice to see they gave lot of thought about temperature and at an actual manageable price point. I feel like this one looks very expensive, especially with the LED display......not sure how much it will be, guess?
Aiden is $365 MSRP
Wasn't there in Expo any new espresso machine ? Aren't they developing any ? Like the Rocket Biccoca ?
And no, Breville develops appliances, not machines.
La Marzocco should bring more "features" to their newest machine, Micra
Synesso should show more their new home machines
Where were they in the EXPO ?
There was definitely lots of grinders there. The new Mx Cool, the Mazzer Philos, Zerno ...
1 cup to 10 cups with precise temperature control. Isn’t that what the Sage/Brevill Precisions Brewer promises?
The Aiden brewer has so many features obviously taken from the Meticulous concept. The round screen, the knob and overall looks
Sir... the Fellow Stagg has been around looong before the Meticulous was even a twinkle in their eye. That's a stretch, aha
@@LifestyleLab_ Hmm.. so the screen and knob continues the Stagg design. Sounds reasonable :)
Yup! Fellow definitely has a consistent design language product to product :)
I think breville dropped the ball without having a dual boiler. I have the barista touch & love. I use it in commercial shoots and often prep 12 drinks same time. So without dual boil option thats impossible. I would have upgraded (one for home) but not with a single boiler.

New video dropped niceee

Had a good chat about getting a review unit (hopefully for keeps) 🤞
They also have some exciting stuff coming down the pipeline 👀
Sick editing, also what is your camera
Thanks!
Would you believe this was all shot on the new DJI Osmo Pocket 3? geni.us/bcUEhnB
@@LifestyleLab_ I wouldn't! This looks really cool, might get.
It was a pretty big relief compared to the huge A7Siii rig I carried around Italy for Host
@@LifestyleLab_ I can imagine
I’ll give the aiden a year then I’ll try to pick it up during black friday.

Im not a fan of the toggling between batch and single serve on the aiden. Im gonna forget that for sure n hopefully thats not gonna flood the single serve. Also having to use my fingers to toggle at where water is coming out is not very hygienic
It looks like it might have a way to check if you’re in the right mode for everything which is nice.
Vs6 ♥️
What does abuut mean? Sorry english not my native language.
I think you're making fun of my Canadian accent, but I'm not 100% sure 😂
Is it just me, or does the design of the Fellow Aiden interface remind anyone else A LOT of the display on the Meticulous?
Maybe just in the fact that it's a circle, but Fellow has been doing those for a long long time on the Stagg. Meticulous display is MUCH more high resolution
It’s not meant to help high volume café’s it’s meant to eliminate the cost overhead for Coffee Shops in getting rid of baristas lol.
Nope! I literally spoke with the owner of the company
@@LifestyleLab_Tell that to body shop sprayers replaced by robots at GM, Ford, etc. 🤔😕
Kudos to breville for taking away a feature in order to improve on something else on a machine! Such 2024 thinking. Brilliant.
Again, this is not an Oracle replacement. There is still a dual heating version on the way.
coffe mechine expo not coffe expo 😂,,,
And I may have to sell my xbloom and Moccamaster for an Aiden
Jimmy at the expo was cringe and trying way to hard. Honestly wanted to drop kick him because he just pushed his way through people(like me)
Why nobody talks about the coffee producers , the most important of the coffee chain , without them we won’t have this stupid machines for making a cup a Joe..it doesn’t matter how incredibly coffee machines could be, if tou dont have a good specialty coffee , this became completely trash….
A huge chunk of the expo is producers and roasters. Lots of great conversations going on all weekend!
