I was really excited for this film, especially as Coraline is one of my favourite films ever, but it was a massive let down! I’m disappointed I didn’t like it, I wished I would, but for me, it was riddled with problems and was nowhere near the quality of Coraline or The Nightmare Before Christmas, in terms of storytelling. I should say that the visual effects were very impressive and so smooth that at time you’d forget it was stop-motion animation. Maybe it’s because I had set high expectations to begin with that I didn’t like it, but unfortunately it wasn’t for me.
Just watched it today. I'm a big Coraline and Laika Studios fan. I enjoyed this film from start to finish. I was engrossed in the story and world. I didn't see anything that I didn't dislike. Great family Halloween film.
Bruh it’s evident within the first scene. The dads voice acting was especially bad. They might as well have put a awkward mumbling prepubescent teenager in front of the mic. Only watched about maybe 7 minutes of it but all the voice actors seemed to have only one take for each line. They used practice audio. The Director was just like ok fine whatever it sinks with the lips.
This interviewer was on point. For those who don't know about the "ruined my name" comment, watch the "Substitute Teacher" sketches from Key & Peele.
The movie was so incredible. This collaboration led to a masterpiece. Everyone involved are so amazing and impressive!

it wasnt amazing but it wasnt so bad it took away from the movie. I still liked watching it
