I remember pulling into a rest area In Illinois, and there was the last Marmon built. I got to speak with the driver. I wonder where that truck is now.
Click Bait: Video claims to naming "Brands you forgot about" then proceeds to name every major truck brand known in America. Leaving out all the minor players in the industry. I hate this type of video. Lost interest @8:11in.
My Dad did a miner restoration of a 1928 Rugby one ton truck years back, they were assembled by the Durant Motors Company of New York City, New York (USA).
I would be interested in knowing about the engines used in these older trucks, especially pre 60's. I know the 671 DEtroit has been around for a long time, but there were some very large displacement gas engines back before diesels were common. Interesting video, despite the mistakes. First truck I drove was a Studebaker, we had 2 on the farm, wish I still had them.
Never knew of Hebrrikson,,seen one in Canada some months ago. Do Seagram nakes chassis for Fire Trycks only? There is another Fiire Truck manufacturer,,can't seem to remember,,those 1920's trucks with solid rubber made. Anyone early retirement lol
Enjoyed your video. I have personal history with diamond national lumber Co and sky resorts back in the late 60's when they bought redwood for decking, table and bench construction. Please eliminate the background music when explaining history. So annoying.
Scam title. You showed the popular common favorite brands, and ALL of them were too weak for coastal logging in BC. Brands like Hayes, Pacific , and sometimes a huge Mack, were liked. Wide Heavy off road trucks were built locally, for private gravel road networks the timber company built, so chances are you will never see them, but if you did you would never forget them. I like trucks too, but this was a scam vid.
No mention of Studebaker.A major contributor of trucks in WW2.
"Brands you forgot about" then start the list with Mack, Peterbilt and Kenworth? Three of the most remembered trucks still on the road.
Also Ford and big Dodges, and where is Marmon in this video?

Who has forgotten about Mack? I was hoping to see Marmon once described as the Rolls-Royce of Trucks.
No better off road truck like Oshkosh Trucks!!
Oshkosh It's like AM General for A particular sector
The 6X6 military trucks shown as GMC were Chevrolet. Studebaker also made some.

I would love to collect (save) these old work horses...but I'm married!

Good job but yes a few were left out. I know run time is critical. Overall pretty good job
Erratic video not in line with dialogue,or vice versa, many significant marques left out.12 min was enough for me
👍👍👍👍👍👍.
Was there a company called Cord? I had heard it may have been built in Hendersonville,NC.
I have known of Cord cars, but don't know if they ever built a truck.

Kamala Harris made this blog?!!!!😂
....very amateurish, & ill-produced. Poor research, & random presentation of content. Not worth watching.
An inexperienced ten year old boy would gather a mountain of info from it though.
Big problem with old cars n trucks the tale pipe so small burn vales up they need 3 inch
Do you remember the GMC and Ford trucks built for the Nazis all through WW2?
