- Tucked away in Roscoe Illinois you will find a place called Historic Auto Attractions, and it is far from your ordinary roadside tourist stop. Wayne Lensing, best known for Lefthander Chassis race cars, has amassed what is probably the most incredible private collection of famous cars and artifacts in the entire world outside of the Smithsonian Institute. He stared with a Cadillac once owned by Howard Hughes that fueled an unstoppable snowball that includes obscure cars like Miss Belvedere the 1957 time capsule car from Tulsa! Wayne has under one roof a vehicle owned or used by almost every US President since cars were invented (like Ronald Reagan's Cadillac limousine and even Ulysses S Grant's Carriage). He has cars of Soviet Union leaders like Josef Stalin, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Nikolai Khruschev. You can also find one of Elvis Presley's cars alongside pieces of James Dean's Porsche. He also has John F Kennedy's Security Service Cadillac "Queen Mary" that was directly behind his 1963 Lincoln Continental in the final motorcade with an entire section of the massive facility dedicated to Kennedy's personal items and artifacts relating to some of the most significant events in modern world history!

We went to Historic Auto Attractions because Wayne has some race cars in there...we honestly had no idea that he had all of this other stuff and it blew us away. The racing side of his museum will be in its own video!
Great Job Mitchell and Logan 😊
Really need to make this museum visit into a series of unedited videos
Helleva job. This is awesome. Completely different element
Hitler had a Auto Racing team called Auto Union. The rings design started with the silver cars, mid 1930's running rear engine , Supercharged V-16. Very impressive place and looking forward to Part 2 !
@@brianhowe4875 I could upload the raw footage as a members only video
Mr Lensing is a great American.
He has SO many cool artifacts at that place.
The Kennedy collection could be a whole separate museum.
Miss Belvedere is a great story and I'm so glad I have had the chance to see her. Wayne and his people did a great job creating the room for Ms Belvedere.
@@safetymikeengland it really could be its own museum and it wouldn’t make the rest of this place any less amazing 😂
I watched the unearthing live on TV, what a disappointment. Boyd Coddington was there for some official duty
He had Lee Harvey’s head stone years ago
What a honest humble man Wayne is, and so knowledgeable and passionate about history and the preservation of it's relics. Thank you for this video, Awesome.
Growing up in Michigan I was fortunate enough to visit Henry Ford Museum and GreenField Village many times and I have seen the actual limousine President Kennedy was assassinated in as well as the chair President Lincoln was assassinated in along with many other incredible vehicles, machines, planes & firearms & so much more. Including Bill Elliott's speed record setting #9 Thunderbird. But the incredible amount of items you were able to share in this mans collection while just a fraction was completely amazing. Thank you for this off the beaten path offering and for taking the time to put this together. Incredible work Logan & Mitchell-Thank you!
Awesome! What a great human! You should donate all proceeds from this video to the museum.
Thank you so much for doing what you do! Many of us may never get a chance to travel in person to see this fabulous collection of history, but because of what you do, we all can experience a taste of it! As much as I love what you do with the NASCAR history, adding places like this to your channel brings a whole other level to what you do! Keep up the incredible work!
Thanks! We're glad you enjoy the variety! Personally I would love to do more of this type of thing. All history is interesting to me not just racing stuff!
Absolutely right! I'm handicapped and no longer able to travel. Mitchell and Logan provide a great service!
The sheer volume and diversity of his museum was amazing! Thanks to both of you for sharing.
@@benwatkins7600 thank you Ben!
I had NO idea this was only 45 min from where I grew up. I'll definitely be paying a visit now!
Following my normal procedure, hit the thumbs up button then watch. Never been disappointed!
Thank you Mark! This one is a bit different than our normal stuff but man it is awesome
Same!
That's my same approach when it comes to Stapleton42...!!!
I do the same damn thing and with the same satisfying result everytime. Thanks Mitchell Stapleton ❤
YES!MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS…PLEASE? You two were made for this!
Absolutely! We will work on that. Thank you sir dingman.
Incredible! I live two and a half hours from there and never knew about it. Thanks for bringing it to the light of day.
Great museum, bucket list item on so many levels.
Mt. Lensing is a great fellow to sit and talk with.
I agree, he's got an amazing story.
@Stapleton42 And by the way you did a great video!!!
I was amazed at the scope and completeness of his Presidential car collection. I am so glad he owns the replica of the JFK x100.
Only 45 minutes from my home. Can’t believe it. Thank you!!!!
You’re welcome! We hope you get to visit!
who would ever thought the Premier racing history video guy and his beautiful companion would come across a wonderful museum like this. Thank you for your hard work.
Thank you Eddie!
What can i say? I am from germany. I have been to the US…four times. Once for the typical LA, national parks, Vegas…San Francisco trip…
Three times at South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia+Tennessee…
But seeing this video…
I really would like to come again. Just for visiting that museum.
To give Mr. Lensing…a hug…
From the hearth…
Man! I really would like do that.
Incredible achievement he made.
I live just a couple of hours south of Roscoe Illinois I have this strange feeling that they are going to get a visitor from the Peoria area in the next month or two
Thanks for sharing and thanks to Wayne for give the opportunity for people to see this it is amazing.
I live right down the road from this place. Took my father for his first time ever. He was born and raised locally and had no clue the place existed. They need more pr exposure
I've been to Historic auto attractions a few times. Each time, Wayne and Tony were walking around, telling the history on all the vehicles and items.
Wayne is the real deal.
There is insane history in that unassuming building.
Always something new, for my learning experience thanks Mitchell...
Thank you Vation!
The original Batmobile is one of the classiest cars of Hollywood that I have ever seen !
That place is pretty much as close to the word Perfection as can be. Thank You for doing this video.
@@kylepokeyporter8375 we agree thank you Kyle!
Received the Lake Speed Comeback shirt and the white tshirt with the 80s Buick and Miller paint scheme, such awesome designs and the videos are phenomenal! Thank you two for doing all this and your hardworking
Thank you very much!!
This place is incredible. And I’m glad he is sharing this stuff with the public. So many people who get this kind of stuff just keep it to themselves privately but this guy chooses to share it with everyone. Incredible collection I hope to visit one day. And you both are absolutely right. A lot of this historic stuff gets lost because people want quick cash and don’t care about the history or they just don’t know what they have. So much history is still hidden away in attics, sheds, basements, or hanging up on a wall because the owner doesn’t know the significance. Keeping the stuff together is how it continues to be remembered and acknowledged.
Amazing video! Such amazing history! You guys keep knocking it right out of the park!
Thank you so much for touring and recording this amazing collection! I worked for Lufthansa Cargo for about 23 years. We shipped several of the cars in this museum before he owned them. I don't know which of the Mercedes vehicles we shipped out of Atlanta, but I know we did ship one. The middle Batman car was shipped by us as well.
Thanks again for sharing this with us here!
@@lhkraut interesting! Thanks man
One of your best videos. Shared it to X and facebook. This place is only hours from my old home and I never knew about it. Thank you for taking all the time you did for this video.
@@badgerpa9 thanks man we appreciate it!
This great place is now added to my bucket list for places in the United States. Thanks for a great look into multiple types of history. Can’t wait for the next video.
Absolutely Amazing collection Mr. Lensing has. So much history in one place. Really enjoyed seeing this. Thanks for taking us on the tour.
This is just totally awesome and I can't seem to get enough of it. As always great job Mitchell & Logan
In the first two seconds of the video I recognized that was Wayne from Left-Hander Chassis. Can't wait to see that #99 A&W Mustang in Part 2.
Yes sir! That car is in the following video
Another excellent job!!
Thank you both for the hard work
FYI Boyd Coddington featured the unearthing the dodge in the vault on his show
Thank you Keith!
Appreciate you. This was fantastic
You do the best
Thank you so much
That was a great video, I would say Stalin's limo was very cool too. Keep em coming.
We love this place. My middle daughter loved 2 people when she was younger, Elvis and President Lincoln. She was in heaven!
1320 video went through this museum, in their coverage of Race week 2.0. It's neat to see it in more detail and the stories behind the cars and artifacts. I agree Mitchell, i think the Stalin car is The coolest. Thank you for sharing!
Yes it’s a very impressive collection. Especially the story behind the Stalin Packard!
What I like about this museum is how well things are displayed. Everything is very accessible, and explained. Thankyou!
I'm glad you enjoyed the tour!
One of your best yet! That Conestoga wagon from 1798 was pure history. They could carry 8 tons of gear thousands of miles. Built by the Pennsylvania Dutch in Southeast PA. One of the most popular wagons for America’s Pioneers.
Wish this was a 3 hour video , great job once again. Any history is great ,auto history is the best .
Dear sir , I am humbled to be a subscriber to your channel your dedication your time your work all the hours in a throw away world.Thank You I am a 58 year old disabled vet who has spent one one job I worker over 70 hours a week for 26 years your time is beyond that I am a sticker collector soon I will be a proud owner of some of yours . I am raised in Spartanburg I was with on every turn of video here thanks again I have all the stories you told I have a about 50 of the first race at many tracks ( their programs ) Cotten Owen’s signed one and told me a story or two sorry for the rambling I’m old thanks you again as good as racing is now to me it doesn’t have the same Flair or Fire it used to Good luck on your car you should have tried to get in the Sterling Marlin car .
@@mickytallent6933 thanks micky we appreciate you 💪🏻
Going to sticker store now
We went through this museum in 2024, incredible & I highly recommend visiting, absolutely fascinating! I was always interested in history but in school, so much of the emphasis is on 'names & dates', but you don't get 'all' of the stories that make those names & dates so significant.
My favorite vehicle you showed us was the Stage Coaches and secondly - the Elliot Ness Era cars. “Thank You” so much for bringing this video to us. It was so much more personal than other Car Collection Videos I’ve seen here on TH-cam. You put much more value into the antiques than just monetary information. The questions you asked meant a lot more to me than $ value. I’d like to spend a couple days inside the museum to just browse. For everyone my age or older - go on Google - hit the microphone and ask for picture of the town you grew up in and give the year you were born. I’m 80 years old and the pictures I saw had 3 horse & buggies parked in front of the P.O. 1944…
Thank you Glenn!
Wayne Lensing spent years and a ton of money to put together his collection. What has he done to preserve this collection after he passes? This video is chock full of interesting details that are brought forth by the charm of Mr. Lensing's vast knowledge and perspective. You definitely need to go back, even more so because there is only one Wayne Lensing, and you have to get him on camera to take you on another tour. I look forward to watching your video covering Mr. Lensing's racing museum.
Thank you Wayne glad to see you in the comments again
that packard omg 😲😲😲
I really enjoyed this video. As a history fanatic since childhood, growing up with a grandfather who served in WWI, and as a current volunteer at the National Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton Ohio, I can't say enough the respect I have for him for building and keeping this museum alive. God bless from this Oho Navy veteran! Do more history videos. We have some unique vehicles at my museum. Come visit!
Great video of an amzing place! People like Wayne are a cherished commodity these days. I always appreciate the people who have a passion for documenting and preserving history. I love your channel for that reason. Keep it up.
@@1legmoto thank you we will
Wow, what an incredible museum. Just in awe.
Awesome video and history. Physical history incredible history. Thanks, we will be planning a family trip there soon.
I was very impressed by Stalins Packard, mainly the sheer thickness of the windows, before he even spoke about the weight of the doors I was thinking about how much those doors must have weighed with all that glass and steel reinforced door skins, it's crazy.
Looking forward to the race car portion!
Thank you again,
MarknLily
We’re working on the racing video now! Thank you Mark
That Caddy is very cool. I love the rear dashboard. Some very iconic cars for sure. Great video once again. Thank you for the content.
thanks man we appreciate you!
Simply wonderful collection and thanks for bringing it to use before it all goes away to different places to not be seen again. Thanks!
You are very welcome!
Great video. Wayne knows the history if each piece of this massive collection.
He's got a great story for everything!
Thanks Mitchell…you and your gal (C.R.S.. her name fell out of my brain???)awesome for taking the time to show us…again..something I never knew existed. Your videos are always excellent…thank you for taking the time to present it to all of us who’d never known about it!
thank you! her name is Logan
Greta video! Glad that you guys stopped by to show us.
thanks man!
Wow. Amazing! Hope this collection never gets pieces out. When Wayne passes on.
Another great video dude, I actually got my wife to sit down and watch as she is into the presidential history. To pick one favorite car is super hard. I guess the more obscure pick would be the ambulance. It's absolutely amazing the collection this man has put together.
Thank you Jamie! So I take it your wife enjoyed it?
This man is the real treasure in this wonderful place. I was totally entertained as he led us thru his treasures. Thank you guys so very much !!!
Wow....
Just wow..
What an incredible collection of history. Thank you for sharing with us
Glad you enjoyed it!
You are an awesome ambassador of history. My friend, thank you. !
We appreciate you watching!
Can't wait to see the racing collection thanks Mitchell
thank you kurt!
I viewed the Imperial Palace collection back in 1995, and was blown away. It’s great to see some of it here, along with a lot of the memorabilia, preserved for future generations.
This is an awesome video, incredible collection, Thanks for doing this!
Simply wow. Never heard of this facility or collection. Thank you for sharing the video and for Mr. Lensing's amazing vision.
OUTSTANDING presentation and you certainly generated interest for this attraction. Enjoyed EVERY moment and I Thank You Much!!
Thank you very much!
When i message you about this place to tell about it. I never thought you would have when there. This video is awesome! We go there at least 3 times a year. His Auto Race history is amazing.
You guys have great taste!
What an amazing collection and Mr Lensing is a TRUE gentleman ,,, excellent work Sir a real credit to you and this museum will go on forever,,
Thank you so much for bringing this museum to your channel. I’m a history nut and never knew this museum existed. I live in MN so this is definitely on my 2025 vacation list. Also, I’ve been to the Smithsonian and this museum is far more interesting because these items were part of our society and far more tangible.
I have been thou the museum about 20 years ago . My has it changed . I will have to get back there .Thanks for the tour you did a great job !!!
Without a doubt for me...the best video I have ever seen on TH-cam! Looks a must visit and I will be going from the UK just to visit this place! What a hidden treasure !
Another great video you are coming up on greatness just keep having fun
Thank you! We're having a blast!
Thanks for sharing!!! That was amazing. Who knew!!!! 😃🤷♂️
You bet! Glad you enjoyed it!
Unbelievable! I have to get there. Nice job on this. What a collection of history . Again you knocked it out of the park.
Thank you Logan & Mitch. I may never be able to visit this site. At least I have gotten a taste of Wayne's passion for preserving history .
Wonderful video one of the best one yet
Thank you, we appreciate it!
I totally agree about Stalin's Packard, that thing was incredible. What a neat place, it is definitely on my list to visit now!
Great video again. Besides NASCAR. I love history, Elvis, and Batman. I knew exactly what part of Batman returns the bat missile was in.
Cool tour of the museum! Thanks Mitch! Interesting stuff from U.S. history!
Outstanding episode!!!
The blue Cadillac presidential car was breathtaking! It really is a piece of art! Also loved the '56 Cadillac presidential motorcade car. That was amazing seeing Stalin's Packard! Most people don't know he loved American cars! He was so impressed with the 1941-42 Studebaker 4x4 trucks he got from us, that he had them reverse engineered and made in Russia! That's why the Soviet era trucks resembled American trucks! Same with the ZIL and ZIM Soviet state cars, notice they resembled Packard/Cadillac/Lincoln cars! Great video, I hope to see this place! I've seen the Bonnie and Clyde death car in Prim. Was crazy to see the actual shirts they wore with the bullet holes and blood stains.
Thank you Johnny! That makes sense I did think the early ZIL looked like a Cadillac
Adding to my list of places to visit for sure
I live in Tulsa, OK and I knew about that time capsule car but I didn't know what happen to it....another GREAT video...
thanks man! I like Tulsa.
Dude, this was awesome!! What a collection!!! Whatever footage you have you should post. I’m fascinated with historic stuff and places. Amazing that one man has so much history!! I would love to walk around in there!!
I saw a documentary about that 57 Plymouth some years ago. Wow
What a fantastic collection Wayne has put together. Thank you for videoing the museum, I'm speechless. My favourite car was Starlins with the hydrallic windows. Thanks Mates. Aussie Roger, the WOMBAT !!!!!
Wow! Great video. I will definitely be visiting this museum next time I pass close to it and I hope to see Wayne there and thank him for preserving such significant artifacts.
Thank you for the kind words and I hope you enjoy your visit!
Thanks For Uploading
You’re welcome!
Greatest museum ever. Loved the way he explained everything according to the peace. He is very knowledgeable. Great work.👍
I live a few miles directly north of the museum. Wayne is a great guy

Wayne is as great an attraction as anything on display! What an amazing guy!!
I visited this museum a number of years back. It is fantastic. This is real history! See it for sure!
I would love to bring my 93-year-old dad to see this. He would need a electric scooter to ride because its a huge museum. Thanks for posting this.
Keep the history coming man, this is a treat to see, never heard of the museum but, will be making a special trip from Michigan to check it out due to you finding it. Totally awesome video!
