Roxanne Kernohan that played the role of Lee, was in a few sci-fi and horror films. She primarily did modeling but also was involved with playboy for a while, and tended to date various musicians. She was in a very bad vehicle collision in 1993, and passed away due to severe injuries she suffered. Even though she didn't have a very long career she usually stood out in roles, and others that she worked with described her as being very kind and friendly.
Glad you enjoyed this one Katie, like I said silly yes but enjoyable. Some similar suggestions (plus some bonus ones) would be like 1 killer clowns from outer space 2 leprechaun 3 sleepwalkers 4 invaders from mars (still makes me uneasy from my childhood) 5 monster squad 6 child's play 7 predator 8 creature from the black lagoon 9 leviathan 10 jeepers creepers 11 species 12 anaconda 13 congo 14 relic
I suppose things could've been worse for them. At least he wasn't selling the eggs from Alien.😅 I was just thinking you might like Demons (1985) or Night of the Demons (1988). They're horror/comedy with good effects. Probably inspired by Evil Dead.
For the surviving the fire thing - I always thought they realised what was happening at the last moment, and formed that ball. The outer critters in the ball got toasted.. then dropped off.. and the remaining ones came out the building. It's a bit like how bees keep warm in the winter.. they form a ball around the queen and all rotate in and out of the outside layer of the shell to survive the cold weather. Wasps haven't worked that trick out, so tend to perish All practical FX! I loved the ball rolling over people and instantly peeling them hehe 🩻 I think you'd enjoy the film Terrorvision (1986).. it's not a Gremlins clone, but it has a similar fun chaotic energy Oh and happy Eggster! 🍳
You would love 1983’s The Deadly Spawn. Independent horror film that’s a lot of fun about monsters from outer space. Surprisingly good old school 80’s horror.
The Deadly Spawn is amazing! Truly an underrated 80s scifi/horror film. Saw it on Halloween as a kid, and now it's become a Halloween tradition of mine to watch it.
Hi Katie, Happy Easter. I love these movies. The Critters are cute little killer furballs! I hope you watch the rest of the Critter movies. As for the yellow doors that is where I say nope, I know yellow is a sunshine happy color, but I don't like it. I hope you are doing well.
Heh....your channel name just reminded me of a Ray Bradbury short story, about a guy who distrusted and resented his own skeleton, becoming increasingly paranoid that it wanted to get rid of him. As he got more and more frantic, he eventually met with a strange little man (possibly a doctor?) who offered to solve his difficulties by removing his bones once and for all....
It did. As well as general improvements in technology making it a little cheaper to work with, allowing them to get more out of the budget. This continues with parts 3 and 4. Any new abilities shown are seen as things the Krites could always do in canon lore, but were just not shown prior, due to tech/budget limitations.
the one thing I am so sad about is that they killed off the alien hunter Lee I think was their name. I loved how they reinvented trend setting and they could decide what type of human form they took. and I thought this new form was in a way a very cute thing. Charlie obviously understood but it was very cute how Ugg (I hope I have the spelling right) seemed niavely innocent at what he was seeing yet was also very curious and just couldn't look away. While Lee was also curious about their female look, and in a way within seconds was digging the look until she changed yet again and then almost became Freddy krugar lol!.. If I could own two of the props from this film. One would be one of the colorful paint Critter Easter eggs and one of the critters in the salad bar. That scene before they were blasted away by Lee and Ugg I thought was kinda cute. Critters not liking their greens but eager to flip burgers. I look forward to your reaction to Critters 3 it's my favorite. I love the pie party scene with the critters.
This was my favorite movie when I was 7! 🤣🤣 The third one is absolutely worth watching! It's Leonardo DiCaprio's first movie!!! 4 and up, though, are the ones that have zero redeeming value.
Tbh the bounty Hunter in the front movie didn't do a proper job in making sure all evidence and existence of krite life on earth was eradicated. I mean especially round the Bradley household..
I watched the first 2 ALOT as kid but I didn’t see 3 and 4 until recently (I bought the Critters Blu-ray box set) and I enjoyed them, they’re not that bad. 3 takes place in the city in an apartment complex with a young Leo Dicaprio and 4 takes place in the future on a space station with Brad Dourif. I don’t know if they worth watching on the channel but I think it’s a solid watch in your private time
Yeah this is the peak of the franchise. Critters 3 is alright but 4 and 5 are kind of dull. Then there's the TV series. Most people hate it, but it's so bonkers I kind of love it.
If you love fine storytelling, and pains-takingly crafted visual effects, then I canNOT recommend "Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes" -- but something in the way these Critters move kept reminding me of it.
Hi Katie enjoyable reaction as always this film is not as good as the first one in my opinion but still a lot of fun to watch, as for me I'm not a big fan of the Critters films after this one but you may like them they certainly are different to the first 2, also I know what you mean about community spirit as where I live in Oxfordshire we have a community event nearly every month of the year here, and I hoping you are having an enjoyable Easter/Bank Holiday and the weather has been nice and sunny where you are it has been where I am.
Hi Katie anothet loverly review as always This was the first film directed by Mick Garris he also did the critter vocices If you like interviews with film directors in horror and fantasy check them out literally interviewed everyone from John Carpenter John Landis Wes Craven Rick Baker they are well worth alook A film i would recomend if you have not seen it is The Frightners with Micheal J Fox a very early film from Peter Jackson think you will like this comedy horror fantasy Hope you are keeping well Happy Easter Very Best Wishes
3 and 4 aren't bad, but the ones that came after those are just horrible. The Krites do get a bit better effects as the main 4 movies progress, due to better tech and improved budgets. Also, Charlie had a parachute, as he's asking people to help him with it. He bailed out before the ship crashed.
Glad you enjoyed this fun sequel! I'd still highly recommend the Puppetmaster series. Just don't take the plot(s) that seriously. Cant wait for the next vid!
hiya skellie. still recovering from a detached retina surgery so not watching much but wanted to check in have you watched any of the scary movie franchise? also monster squad? thirteen ghosts? or night of the demons [i prefer the remake but either]? take care of yourself first
----- @skeletalk ----- - I would recommend you watch the rest of the 'Critters'-franchise and make up your own opinion thereof... - Whenever there is a franchise/series of movies, it always gets extremely confusing with all the different opinions when you ask for feedback from your viewers. Taste is highly subjective and just because some of your viewers don't like some of the movies in question, that doesn't necessarily mean that you won't like them too. You might find they aren't as bad as people say they are... - I've seen movies that have received dice rolls of 1 or 2 in the tabloids and afterwards I've come to the conclusion that the movies deserved a 4 or 5 on the dice, if not a 6. Conversely, I've seen movies that have received dice rolls of 5 or 6, which personally I won't have given anything higher than maybe a 3, and then I've been rather generous, in my humble opinion. -----
Great reaction to this underrated sequel....I hope eventually that you do reactions to Critters 3 (which was also Leonardo DiCaprio's film debut) & Critters 4 as well, the last of the original Critters franchise made by a lot of the same people...(I would stop after Critters 4 because any other Critters related product has very little to do with previous entries and were made by entierly different film crews. Many of the effects aren't as good, in fact made with very low shoestring budgets even for critter effects. Plus they don't even have Terence Mann as Ugh or Barry Keith Opper as Charlie McFadden or Scott Grimes as Bradley Brown in them or even acknowledge them. One, direct-to-dvd, movie has Dee Wallace Stone - the mom from critters 1, in the movie BUT she is playing someone completely different & totally unrelated. Since the character has nothing to do with previous entries and she doesn't do much in the movie, glorified cameo maybe?, why even have her in it at all, WTH? Those ones are bottom of the barrel in my opinion. Like I said just avoid anything after Critters 4). Again great reaction to Critters 2 👍
That Hungry Heifers song is going to be stuck in my head for a week again

Fun fact Mick Garris was one of the zombies in Micheal Jackson Thriller video directed by John Landis Make up Rick Baker
Ahhh that's so cool!

"Critters 2 is the Game of Thrones of creature features" - Skele :D
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
hi mrs Skeletalk what a great reaction you looking stunning and greetings
Happy, happy Easter to you Skele. Good to see you back again. Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Catch you next time 😅😊
Thank you! 💙 Happy Easter!

I think this one had a larger budget than the 1st.

Happy Easter Skele.
Hope all is well.
Happy Easter! 💙
"Did they have to take her clothes off?"
Yes
awesome reaction Katie
@17:13 Come on now, everyone loves a nice rack. You were looking too 👀😁

Critters 3 is Leonardo DiCaprio's acting debut.
This was my favorite movie when I was 7! 🤣🤣 The third one is absolutely worth watching! It's Leonardo DiCaprio's first movie!!! 4 and up, though, are the ones that have zero redeeming value.
I remember watching a Critters movie but it was all set up in space and had Brad Dourif in it, i cant remember if it was any good or not though.
Tbh the bounty Hunter in the front movie didn't do a proper job in making sure all evidence and existence of krite life on earth was eradicated. I mean especially round the Bradley household..

Hi Skele. Another movie with small monsters in it that you might like is Ghoulies (1984)
I was 6 years old when I saw this. The scene where Lee changes form made me realize I really liked women
Proposed titles .. .
The Dark Crystal (1982)
Dragonslayer (1981)
Krull (1983)
Wizards (1976)
Dreamscape (1984)
Silent Running (1972)
Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
Terrorvision (1986)
Yeah this is the peak of the franchise.
Critters 3 is alright but 4 and 5 are kind of dull.
Then there's the TV series. Most people hate it, but it's so bonkers I kind of love it.
part 3 is ridiculous-er. It's only fun to watch Leonardo De Caprio's first major role.
If you love fine storytelling, and pains-takingly crafted visual effects, then I canNOT recommend "Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes" -- but something in the way these Critters move kept reminding me of it.

Check out DRAGONSLAYER (1981), best dragon movie you will EVER see! And the new DUNGEONS & DRAGONS movie.
