    Thank you for the tip about the conditioner. I had a lovely black silk skirt hat lost all its luster and I sent it to the thrift store because it was just so dull. Had I known...I’ll be prepared next time.

    thank you, I'm about to test this out on a Prada silk blouse I picked up at the bins!

      I'm back with an update, this worked great on the blouse, the discoloration was removed (I opted to hand wash bc I only had one silk item). BONUS, it removed yellow staining from the white collar of a vintage rugby shirt, I am absolutely wowed by this and so happy to add it to my cleaning go-to's! Thanks again.

    Love this video! Will using the conditioner trick help rehab a garment that was already improperly washed do you think?

    Have you ever tried washing with tide essentials for silk? I thought my pajamas were silk but there saying polyester and I was gonna throw them into a mesh bag with my silk pillowcase on delicate then put them in a towel and then hang them. Do you think that would be ok on cool water?

    I would be super careful and dilute that hydrogen peroxide BEFORE applying directly on the garment. I made the mistake of placing hydrogen peroxide directly on my off white sofa covers. I now have white patchy stains where I applied it directly. If in doubt test an area but know that this is possible. This didn't happen with some of my other tops but it did with my canvas sofa covers. :(
    On a positive note, I have used some of the combo of products used here and occasionally vodka, yellow stains that have been on my white garments for 10+ years have been removed. Sometimes it takes a couple tries. Know that the stain may not completely disappear until after you launder it.

    If I don’t have a steamer, would just air drying work?

    Do you think Satin or Silk is good for your hair? Like a hair wrap for your hair...I know cotton sucks out your oils in your hair. Which one is better for the hair.

    I have an antique silk small embroidery that has a stain. I'm wondering if the colored threads will run. I would do it by hand. What does anyone think?

    Hey! I just bought like three 100% silk shirts at an estate sale for myself and I was so excited because I’ve never had one and they look new buuuut I was wondering is it safe to do this if it’s 100% silk (sorry I wasn’t sure if you mentioned if yours were 100% silk also)?? It said on the tag to only dry clean it but that is expensive and inconvenient. I’m scared to wear them cause I cause I know I’ll sweat on them or get deodorant or spill something on them haha

      And does any conditioner work/safe? Oh and do you have a method for 100% cashmere?

    Why do you lay flat to dry and not hang? What about scarves?

    • @ResellerRevolution
      @ResellerRevolution  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I lay flat, so that it doesn’t lose its shape. Thanks for asking ❤️

    My silk items come out extremely wrinkled. I'm using the delicate cycle. Anyone know why?

    • @ResellerRevolution
      @ResellerRevolution  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That’s the nature of the fabric. It’s extremely soft and will need to be steamed after air drying.

      Make sure to select “no spin” for spin cycle.

      I've read before that coating it with baking soda and nothing else and leaving it for several hours can pull the oil out

    • @gretoszka
      @gretoszka 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try Dawn directly (not diluted with water) on the stain and gently rub in with fingers. Let it sit for an hour. Then wash like she showed here w conditioner. Usually the less the oil stain sits in the fabric the better chances of it being removed. If that doesn’t do the trick you can also try cornstarch or baby powder and let it sit on the oil stain again for an hour. It should pull the oil out and absorb it. Then was it the way she demonstrated here. Hope this helps. 💖✨
