@rayamoroso126 it was the first day after our first freeze here locally. I was on a point where they had to come through an area of about 75 yards to get to deeper water into the main channel. Most of the fish were from sunrise to a few hours after. I was using live bluegill trying specifically for them. My Cut bait had a couple channel cats one 9 lb that day. They have slowed for me though. It was a good day
I love watching dave prove things that everybody says doesnt work. Went out with some chicken. Caught some nice channels and a few blues. Tight lines everyone.
Love watching Dave's video's. Between him and Justin from kayak catfishing is the only 2 youtube channels i like to watch. Always great content and good tips. Now im gonna have to try some chicken lol.

Thank you Dave! Went fishing Tuesday in Lake Seminole, NOTHING was biting. I had some cut chicken breast suspended in 12 feet of water and WHAT A TAKEDOWN. The only thing that we caught 34 inches long and 7.5 lbs Blue cat. 3 meals of catfish fingers. YUM
If you tie in an anchor ball onto your anchor line it will help keep your bow from being pulled down by your anchor. Really helps in boat wakes, waves and current.
Thanks Dave for this video I know you Struggled with the currents in your boat . I’m so tired of buying skipjack at 25.00 a bag or 6.00 a piece. I’ve tried Catching Skipjack I’ve tried Jigs and Foley spoons and haven’t caught one skip. I watched you tear up Skipjack at Douglas Dam I’ve tried several times not one fish. So looks like it’s chicken for me now.

I'm going to try this! I struggle getting live bait. Where I live in Alabama on Weiss lake, its hard to find public bank fishing areas, and I have had no luck catching bream this winter. If you can ever find rooster livers, they are awesome!! they are as tough as alligator hide, and you have to cut them off your hook when you get done fishing..
I know it's fall, thought I'd give a little advice on fishing chicken. Garlic may help catch catfish, but I know it sure keeps the flies away from the bait in the summer. Keep up your offbeat advice. Love channel.
I always carry two anchors. One for bow and one for stern. Years ago I fished the trinity river below the livingston dam. The water was so high in the lake it was breeching the dam top so they had all gates fully open. I couldn't see over the waves near the dam. If you got back a ways the water was coming out so fast it was around two feet higher in front of the gates and then past the gates on either side it was a straight drop to the lower water level. Actually got sea sick from bouncing up and down. My chicken is marinating down stairs in garlic, shrimp and strawberry jello. Hope to try it out this weekend.
I was just thinking about what happened in Catfish Dave's last video with the rod holder and the nice cat he caught in this video answered my question, he finished what the other cat started by snapping it completely off! LOL You are gonna need some heavier duty rod holders Dave! I really enjoy the vid's you put out and keep up the good work and stay safe out there in the rough waters.
What's up Dave! Looks like that chicken is popping! I'm going to try it my next catfish fishing trip to the Tennessee tombigbee! Those were some nice catches but that last blue cat was a monster! Great video is always! Keep on getting down man!

I hope you are using a break away for the anchor rope..........as a old river person, rivers are notorious for whats called rollers, water logged logs that roll down on the bottom of the river, they will catch a anchor rope and pull the boat nose down in to the water if the rope and cleat is strong enough. Us old dogs that have been on the river all our lives use a cleat that will break away before it pulls the boat under "IF" a roller comes a long on the bottom,........not like it happens twice a week, but it does happen and you dont want it to happen, especially at night on the river in the current. Take it from a life long river boat captains son........it does happen, the river is no joke,...it can turn dangerous quick.
Great vid. I wonder if this will lead to a "line" of catfish baits produced by the big chicken producers using not fit for humans scraps? Also this may ease some of the pressure on the skipjack population. Thanks Dave!

Yup!! Better than a second anchor too. You can have a second line connected to the end to collapse it quickly and get it out of the way for a big fish.
Great fishing and entertainment content as usual. I;m open to the chicken Idea. Tried it yesterday vs cut bluegill. I got 8 or so bites on bluegill and 0 on chicken in a Georgia river. What boat are you using? Length and width? I'm using a 1672 Express. Looked pretty sketchy in that current. Get yourself another rod holder setup for the other corner. Those rod storage holders don't get it.
Now that you are a believer in chicken lets take it another step. Strawberry or cherry jello ( not unsweetened) or coolaid. Mix pieces in a baggie overnight. Let's see what happens Dave. Enjoy
Go buy yourself a 3ft drift sock, throw it off the back of the boat after the anchor bites. This will help in keeping the boat straight. Or a 5 gallon bucket with with 5 or 6 2in. holes drilled in the bottom of it will work also.
