Watching hc deaths really opened my eyes up... these are probably the people I've pugged raids with over the past years and now it all makes sense.
imagine getting in a lvl 60 dg on hc and being like "yeah these people are hc, they know what they're doing" and then rememeber these clips
Exactly. They're the same people that tell you to calm down and it's just a game when you try to help them understand and play the game better.

That rogue in the arena knew 100% what he was doing. His intent was never to kill that druid, he just wanted to scare the living shit out of him. Which he did.

Yep, and honestly I think I'd enjoy watching people freak out and take off running more than 1-shotting them with an ambush too.
The13:00 hunter clip in particular hurt on a spiritual level - dude didn't wingclip either of them, used his mana potion instead of his health pot, and turned on Monkey despite running away with his back turned instead of strafing.
Like watching a flaming dumpster roll down hill, go under a ladder and pass by a black cat.

Doing the hardcore challenge has been really eye opening. I didn't realise the average wow player is actually a rock sitting behind a computer.

As someone who plays hardcore I just watch people die from shadowmeld. The melenas mob in the NE starting area really dunks alot of people.

You could legit build an actual safety course for HC from just compiling commentary on clips like these. Like how they have safety classes for industrial machinery and other jobs with big risk factors that feature footage of actual accidents, since it's just way easier to remember why you should not do something goddamn stupid when you've seen exactly what happens if you do.
Yeah, I've already learned plenty of places to avoid.

Truly amazing how some of these players don't even have vital cooldowns such as vanish or ice block keybound, when playing a hardcore game mode...
@@brassbat I don’t think anyone is saying it is. But it’s certainly common sense that if your absolute best defensive CD in a mode where you get a singular life isn’t keybound, it’s very telling to the caliber of player in question.

@@Earnest1G NE have had shadowmeld since at least 1.6 I used it to break npc aggro countless times in OG vanilla.

@@WillyLee23 I've been going back and forth with my boy. There's no Risk/ Reward with Wrath or retail right now. You NEVER risk anything so the games boring. Theres no stakes. Back in the day, the stakes were - you may lose a lockout because your group sucked. Now it doesn't matter. You can just meta and outgear everything. This is why HC is fun, imo. One of many reasons.
Nice to know that even in HC where it matters that much more people still refuse to learn how threat works

@@joedude967 Atm players use an addon that tracks your game activity, not sure how it works but seems fun.
Anyways, now Blizzard officially announced official hardcore servers, when you die you won't be able to release spirit. You can still roam the world as a ghost and interact with your friends, but if you die, that's it for your character progression.

hunters are by far the best class. able to pick up the slack for most classes in an entire group.
huntards are by far the worst class. main ability is using multi shot during a precision pull.

The druid clearly stops and heals in order to hopefully pull aggro from any player that moves slower than him.
He however did not have enough mana enough to shapeshift again, he died a hero and you laugh at him.

What's crazy is the guy at 13:00 has the sticky glue from that Echo Isles quest on his bars and he didn't use it at all. Could have trapped the full hp one and killed the other while running.
wow hc is the best content ive seen in years for wow. Funny how this is the setting the actually make players work together a care about the game.

I'm a bit rusty on the recollection regarding classic, but isn't it so, that when Morgraine gets summoned, any mobs within a certain radius of him that hasn't been killed, is automatically called to the fight? My memory seems to remember we painstakingly cleared all the mobs around Whitemane and then tanked her and Morgraine right at the altar and not by those doors. So not only did the grp do stupid, they did stupid twice, or was just plain lazy not clearing the trash mobs.
Also, seems a lot of these deaths in HC are players being overconfident or not focused enough.

Popping Mark of the Wild to try to save yourself at 1 hit from death is peak "Monitor-Off" gameplay.
Have to ask: how do you get the key to the last part of black rock depths in hardcore?
It needs you to interact with the questgiver that is visible only while dead, right?
You can use a blacksmithing key or engineering charge to open the door
bring a rogue with 250 skill

The pally fall death was lvl 20 mounted which is WoTlk. That bubble was the 50% tank ability, divine shield is 34. How ever he should have had Hand of Protection which does work IIRC

Hardcore shows clearly that higher stakes makes it more interesting.
The funny thing is, WoW was widely considered a carebear MMO when it came out because there was no penalty for death other than running back and repairs.
Every other MMO until that point had XP loss on death, which could represent hours of grinding lost. Most MMO players today would call that a stupid mechanic that just wastes your time, without understanding what it added to the experience.
A good skill to learn while running away is to time the mob's attacks and jump-face them when their auto attack is back up then spin back around and keep running. Can't get dazed this way and can also dodge/parry.
You just strafe sideways and wiggle your camera. It's super simple.

At 20:18 asmon starts explaining what he would do in this situation....but I guarantee that he would not have done any of what he was saying that he would do... because he would have panicked just like this guy...lol. it's easy to say what you should do when you have a replay button. I'm not that btw...just a bystander seeing asmongold for what he is....a pretty awesome down to earth gamer just like the rest of us reviewing these HC Videos and asking questions about there gameplay choices.
This 100%. The vast majority of people in the comments shitting on "classic players" would not make it over lvl 20 because they don't respect the game mode yet. Sure some deaths are caused by stupid mistakes but in hardcore you're allowed *1* stupid mistake. Now try playing hundreds of hours without making 1 stupid mistake, good luck with that. We've seen multi-Gladiator / Rank 1 / High End Game Retail WoW players fall to the *same mistakes* your typical hardcore player dies to.
That Onyxia feared the tank, and since none fear warded him, she turned on the raid 🤣
And i bet that they all blamed the tank at the end...

Yes, but that was the joke, because nameplates don't cost you anything and they still didn't bother to have them.
It is a hint at their skill as a player.
Like a rich guy paying for a huge beautiful mansion, but it is in a swamp.
Nameplates are very useful to spot enemies and have an overview about the situation, for example which mobs are low and might run away.
Although I am not a nameplate fetishist, but having it on a keybind to avtivate in chaotic situations is vital.
The solo experience summed up perfectly.
yep it sucks to be in zul and dot now the mil places to rese mobs in ther proply the place in the game whit most places to reset mobs
I don't understand the hard core community in this game. There are too any variables and factors outside of your control to fuck up tens or maybe even over one hundred hours of play time. There's definitely a skill element that I'm not trying to diminish, but raiding with a bunch of people you don't know and expecting it to be flawless reminds me of a quote in one of Barney64's Scarab Lord videos "If you didn't expect this to happen, I don't know what world you're living in."
