I purchased mine back in December 2021 and the case was put to the test when I accidentally left my phone on the roof of my car,got in and drove off. I was doing around 35mph when I heard something fall off my car and realised it was my phone. I was thinking the worst and had visions of a totally wrecked iPhone 13 Pro Max. Retrieved my phone from the middle of the road and it was totally unscathed. The case did it’s job well and took the punishment with dents and scratches around the edge. Wish I was able to upload a picture on here to show the case.
I've got the Tough Armor, Rugged Armor and the Mag Armor for a 13 Pro Max. Magsafe thus the Mag Armor, Apples Magsafe charger and anything to do with magsafe is a Apple/Cali mental mind power failure so I will be giving all the magsafe I bought to a local that will think it's cool. The Tough Armor and Rugged Armor are good cases at a fair and reasonable price. I also have the Spigen screen protector and a off brand back grass protector on the phone. With the back glass installed the phone fits tightly in all three cases.
Other than the weak magnet this case is awesome. Been about a year now since I’ve had it and its just now starting to show some scratches on the case after a few bad drops but the phone still looks brand new.
This is a great case. Especially considering the price. Spigen is always my go to when I get a new phone since I had my lg v10 I have bought a spigen case.
They do have a magsafe compatible version but for some stupid reason they removed the stand feature. They could have easily left it there as it does not interfere with the magsafe at all.
Spigen do a mag safe version different to the one you’ve reviewed in this video but it’s twice as expensive. I ordered the one in your video so glad to see it works a with mag safe and have saved the cash! 👍🏽
I actually prefer the cutout so you can use the iPhone back touch shortcuts. I have 2 touches for screenshot and 3 taps for flashlight. I’ve had this for 11 pro max and my s21ultra. Will upgrade to 14 pro max and s22 with the cases as well next year.
There is no touch on the back of iPhones. Trust me I have had every single iPhone. The cutout is simply for showing off that you have a top quality phone and not just some CRAPdroid phone.
@@Digikidthevoiceofreason there’s back touch option. What are you talking about? I have it so when you tap 3 times it screenshots and 2 taps for home… you might need to check that out cause you missed it. You can access it through accessibility
Thanks for this! Love your videos, short and sweet! I also wish there's no apple logo cutout then this would be perfect for me. Which spigen case do you prefer the most?
which screen protector are you using? the spigen EZ one? i just bought one from a brand called omoton, used them before, they are good, i want to buy this case but i dont know if the screen protector will be compatible with it. do spigen cases only work with spigen screen protectors?
This is the normal version, right? Spigen makes a version of the tough armor that is explicitly magsafe compatible, as in it comes with the ring of embedded magnets that all other true magsafe compatible cases have.
The bare area ( apple logo section) is for wireless charge. I have tried to cover that section with thick film. After then you cannot wireless charge the phone.the other downside of that area is some car phone holders have trigger point to grab the phone
It's not for wireless charging. Naturally if you cover it up with something that interferes with the wireless charging, it's not going to wirelessly charge. It's simply for looks. Some people love the look, some hate it.
what is the grip of that case when You put it in jeans pockets ? Is there a chane for phone to fall off, or will it hold it like for example silicon cases ?
@@RoyFlorez Seems I asked it wrong sorry, what i ment was when I put this case on the phone and put phone inside jeans pocket, does this case will not slide out of the pocket ? I am asking because now i have case that is slick in touch and it tends to just slip out of the pocket to the ground when I am siting on the chair for example.
It’s not a button. If you’re referring to the “tap back” feature that iPhone’s have, the hole cutout doesn’t help to improve it. I can literally do that feature with any case on.

Getting this when the 14 Pro Max comes out! Thanks, great video!
Love your wallpaper, can I know where to find the wallpaper? Thanks 🎉
The best case out there

thanks for unboxing review. I saw this after i bought it, but very good.

I just ordered one and think the cutout should be nice for maneuvering too
you got 2 flagship phones?!

Just curious why you don't like the Apple logo cutout?

I bought it in red. How has it held up over time?
That case has held up good. I rarely have any issues with longevity with Spigen cases.
Thanks was looking for iphone13 pro specific
What about corner and face drop protection? How high?

Yes this is the normal version.
But that does not have the side foam and no stand
Bought the spigen tough since my iPhone 5. 5 iPhones later I’m still loyal. iPhone 14 pro max will be protected the same way
That gold iPhone is gonna look too nice inside that black case.
I like the cutout for the logo, as far as protection, just cut and glue a clear ridgid plastic that slightly bigger than the cutout.
where can I get this wallpaper?
Where did you get the lock screen wall paper please? :)
Which wallpaper is this?
What about heat deception of the phone. Seems tha phone will heat a lot in the cover
Not anymore than any other case I have used.
Your Apple logo on the back has functions if i'm not mistaken. So a cut-out would not benefit the ussage.
The Apple logo is the function, it’s just the back of the phone in general. It’s the tap feature and it can be done with any case on.
I just wanna know where to get the wallpaper lol
I found it on his twitter page, if you still want it
i use tape for the logo cutout or a plastic film protector
Sameeeee
i hate that cut out for apple logo

Wrong
I really like this case I just don’t buy it because of the cutout in the back, I wish it was closed just like the Antroid cases!
Yeah, I would of much rather have this case with no cutout!
wait you cant use the kickstand on the other way? as in less of an angle - why not?

The cases will never just fall off. So you're good!

@RoyFlorez the screen front lip is so small to protect the screen , not like the ones in subcase and poetic

The fact that the speakers are not covered is a no go for me. I want those protected too. Crap gets in there all the time
bro what. then your dirty with your phone.

If the speakers are covered the sound won’t be as clear. Most cases don’t cover charging port and speakers. Just clean your phone more regularly.
