- Elegoo's first foray into the industrial 3D printing space looks pretty good, even though the name isn't what I had hoped it would be...

And Elegoo being Elegoo, it will still have a .4mm nozzle and use a non-standard nozzle so you can't change it
That would be hilarious, actually
I actually bought a TronXY Veho-600 and have been tinkering with it ever since. If they can get this under $2k from a more reliable company it should sell pretty well.
I hear chatter of $1400.
Tronxy are basically just extrusion kits to build a vzbot 😀😅
@@TheFeralEngineerIIRC, the first 100 units are $1250. The next 500 are $1500. Retail will be about $2500. Shipping to the USA is about $150.
There’s a BilliBilli video from Sept that features the Giga. Might be able to get more info from that.
In one interview the guy demoing mentioned an xycore printer coming in q1
I've heard some buzz about that as well
Did you see you were recently mentioned in an Uncle Jessy video? You’ve officially made it!
I saw! I got love from Daisy Lee on tiktok also 🥰🥰
first thing came to my mind is how much it'll cost to ship this thing xD
Probably more than I'm willing to pay 😆
i dont even know where to start thinking what to make

@@TheFeralEngineer yes! I Wana 3D print a death stoke costume for next Halloween that would be perfect lol
Hmm I don’t think it would be too much if it comes disassembled. I’ve definitely ordered larger things
I have a feeling its going to cost like 2.5 to 3k thats beeing extremely generous realistically 5k +; love the bloomer
I heard it's $2500, with $1250 and $1500 as early bird prices
My concern on this size is rigidity. Like the Tronxy's, it doesn't look very rigid.
I can't imagine it can be very rigid at a ridiculously low price it is anounced for (2500 USD). Levelling will be likely an absolute nightmare, especially with fragment magnetic sheets.
I'm guessing it'll have something like a 1mm nozzle, so instead of worrying about a thin first layer, you just have to be in the ballpark
@@TheFeralEngineer So that would mean something like 0.5 to 0.75 mm layer height. Maybe that is enough to paper over the taco, with the help of some bed mesh levelling (it will do a bed mesh, hopefully). But then you have to cross different separate print sheets on something that may have visible z-offsets between the sheets is something I would not want on my printer.
they need to atleast make sure the 4 series neptune gets updated and satisfy the customers who bought those machines then move on to the next, im still having z offeset issues with my N4P
The fact that the build plate is fixed and doesn't move has to be the way forward surely.
I've actually heard that the Voron Trident is a better design than the Voron 2.4 mainly because of the traversing bed vs the traversing gantry for Z, so I guess time will tell. I still wish they went with something 400³ in an enclosed corexy config.
Bambu's bed moves up and down to increase retraction speeds to print faster. I think bambus bed design is best if only it came with a flat machined bed
I don’t think it is going to take a lot of space. Neptune 4 max needs tons of space already and taking into account that the bed doesn’t swing here, it may have about the same footprint. What I am still curious is the quality of prints… Neptune 4 max doesn’t impress me a lot, likely need linear rails upgrade.
Uranus 🤣🤣
You can put 4 heads on at once
This video was made before that information came to light. They're tandem, though, not individually controlled
I don't think it's possible to make a CoreXY this big, especially not for this price. From what I understand, CoreXY gets less reliable as it scales because the belts get exponentially longer. It would be a tensioning NIGHTMARE!
That said, I hope the OrangeStorm branding is used for future, smaller CoreXY machines. I love white electronics!
I still want it to be Uranus
ok elegoo i know we've been asking for a bigger printer but dang ! not that much
I'd be happy with a 350mm voron 2.4r2. Even that is too big for what I do 😂😂
seeing all these companies are pushing half backed "fast" printers i started considering budling a voron specially when bambu still wont ship directly to my place and it would cost doubled the price for the shipping @@TheFeralEngineer
500x500x500 Voron is my dream. Not necessarily for the unhinged speed, but if it can print that good at speed, it can print amazing at lower speeds
@@randomher089 look into the ratrig vcore3.1
I would be okay with a 1 meter... they should've pushed the edge a little more. 😁
O.O
Imagine a head crash on that beast 😳😳😳
Hopefully it's got an extruder that's held in place by magnets, so it breaks away in the event of a collision
Good god........ LOL
Uhm... That's not how you pronounce 'Uranus'. I hope you were just trying to be funny.
You've obviously not spent much time on my channel...
Nope... First time.

Definitely not my first choice, either.
