Smile man, lol. Jk. Like the vids. I’m thinking about doing a xtf or maybe a hot rod. Ultimate dream would be the 65 coupe too. Then I think I want to try and build these and sell them. Any advice? Used to own a Line-x Franchise and truck accessories business for 29 years, so I think I kinda have the know how, definitely have the tools, my health is my hurdle currently, but we will see! Right now I’ll keep studying your videos!
You just have to jump in and commit to the first one - come up with a plan, put yourself on a schedule and stick to it. There is a lot more support out there - lots of custom car builds. But for sure it isn't for everyone..... if you haven't sat in a Factory Five then I would recommend it and then decide.
I have 2 questions about the xtf: 1. What tonneau cover did you use, and does the spare fit under it? I remember you saying the bed is the same measurements as stock but didn’t know if that was confirmed. 2. What are the wheel well liners like in the front? This truck is a dream build for me, but I live in Alaska, I have concerns about the front wheel wells and the vents in the hood as far as letting in snow and slush. If I ever get to build it, I’d likely go with stock powertrain or a 5.0 with a whipple, so I wouldn’t have the intake right under the vent, but I could get a lot of snow and slush in the open/louvered vents the way they are now… Thanks for your answers. I loved watching the build process
@nmascagno It's the stock tonneau cover which came with the truck.. I took it all apart and trimmed 3/8 of an inch off of the width and had to make custom side rails No front wheel well liners
Hi Erik- quick question: How did you find the fit and finish of the windshield to be without using the rubber molding. I think I would prefer to install without as you did but wondering how much work is involved in cleaning up the channel where the window sits. Thanks in advance.
Thank you posting. Got a serious itch for these
good report, great execution on a E-ticket ride
Any issues with water leakage? Another builder stated they can't use for daily driving d/t leaks in rear window and driver window.
