It is, drones are mostly operated with goggles, but what any RC driver or pilot is going to tell you is that watching from the stand is way harder then seeing it from first person, and most of really good plane pilots have started flying with rc planes, not the real ones. Because it is way harder and it is better to develop a feeling for flying. Even 5 times F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton started by driving RC cars.

The weight of an fpv system that can handle the vibrations on an rc car of any size is not worth the advantage that one might gain. The drivers have learned to drive like this and fpv would probably not help considering the weight.

I've driven rc cars as a kid. The control inputs are very small. It's takes practice. They can probably be customized today. 🤷♂️
