I've got one as a courtesy car at the moment, it's actually really good. I'm 6 foot 3 and have plenty of space I find the ride comfortable and average 49.6mpg :)
It's so funny watching Mat finally having to do a review on a small car - where usually nowadays he would be doing reviews on Land Rovers/Porsches etc. hahah xD
@@Red-ib9yl It's funny, I just discovered him a few days ago and it's crazy to see how he went from reviewing cars here to being on carwow. Does that channel belong to him?
Have had a rental car i20 3 door manual for the past 3 days. Hyundai have come a long way in the past few years. For the money the car is incredible value. $13k AUD. I like the fact that it has Bluetooth. The shifts are precise. With AC on you do have to take a double stab at the clutch sometimes when taking off. The seat belt is a reach, needs a holder. Door bins are a tad small. Seat needs lumbar. Plastic feel to the car, but good build quality. Back end feels slightly detached but solid cornering. Go manual. Good, reliable, fuel efficient no frills motoring at its best.
The 2014 Hyundai i20 is the best designed and most technologically advanced compact hatchback of 2014. Hyundai auto technology is one of the most advanced in the world. For example, the Hyundai Equus, along with some BMW premium models, is the only car in the world to sport heads-up-displays. Also Korean technology company Samsung is the biggest and most advanced technology company in the world (highest revenues and innovation index of all technology companies). FORZA HYUNDAI MOTORS!
Personally, if a car is solidly built, has good reliability, safety, fuel efficiency, comfort etc, its dashboard would have to be made of tinned spaghetti and pickled arseholes for it to be a factor in me NOT buying a particular car. Having a "bland" dashboard layout would not bother me one little bit compared to a car that drove terribly, was overly expensive to service and run, or had bad ergonomics.
The US is generally a more liberal country, therefore the taxes are much lower than other countries, which in turn results in cheaper products, including cars. In Denmark, where I live, the tax for buying a car is 180 % of the cars value, so everybody who complains about stuff being expensive, should just be referred to that.
Esse, Hyundai i20. É, o lançamento do momento. Agora é só ir para concessionarias e vender, vender. Porque, os clientes já estão impacientes na fila de espera.
Sound quality is a bit lacking this time. Nice review though; I was considering this car for a test drive, but with the seat so bad and the interior so bland, I think I'll pass.
Just bought a 63 plate 3 door 1.2 in silver for my wife she loves it. well screwed together. doors shut with with a heavy clunk. don't by swift it's tax if well ova £120. i20 is only £30 for the yr. Enough said
perhaps he does not stalk but rather, like a lot of people, have subscriptions to car review channels like these. they are free to comment, if it was "stalking", he would have dug up some Hyundai videos uploaded years ago and then make a comment on it
Is it really true about the seats ? Because yeah that does put me off if they are that uncomfortable. I drive a Getz 2003 and its not that comfortable for me.
@@mooshue1991 There is a bar in the seats but it's going across the lower back in a supportive kind of way. Perhaps matt here has a very straight back but I have a curved one and I frequently have lower back pain, yet I find the metal bar to be comfortable and very good lumbar support! I'm sitting in my i20 right now!
Now that's a lie! How dare you say that! I am truly outraged. Of course I have a porch, it's attached to my house. I should know, I make love to it every morning. And as for the Hyundai stalking, well, I just can't help it. When I see one drive by, it's like it's serenading me with a soothing song. I just have to follow it, and get down and dirty with one of the tailpipes. I've just got a court order to go no closer than 100 metres to an i30. There, you've got your truth, do you feel better now?
haha lol. coming to think of it your right. but the car i drive is not exactly worth showing off here where i stay because its pretty common. while its pretty rare to see a luxury sedan driven by an 18 yo here. so thats why i set that benchmark. it all comes down to a matter of prespective. people who dont drive cars may find me spoilt. i find kids who drive bmws spoilt. they may think of kids driving supercars spoilt. so sorry for stereotyping.
I personally will avoid Hyundai (and therefore, Kia), from now on. I bought an i10 recently, and have fallen victim to a clutch and throttle hang problem, which the car is infamous for. Just google i10 clutch problem or i10 throttle hang to see what I mean. Their cars may look good, and they have all the features, but there's a reason their cars are that little bit cheaper than an equivalent model. Also, Carbuyer's wrong, the i20 doesn't have an excellent reliability record.
Of course it does as does alot of the other range of hyundai's, i had a Coupe for 5 years used the warranty once, my mum has a Getz never used the warranty, you just bought a lemon.
I hate the name Hyundai. In what way is that name apt for a Car company ? Plus they need to get their suspension and steering setup on par with Fords to really make an upgrade as a Car manufacturer.
Haha! So the coward deleted his comment. He said I was stalking Hyundai, and called me a hypocrite for watching videos of 'porches and bugettis'. I used his poor grasp of English grammar to humiliate him. He has riled and taunted many on this here comments section, he shall not be missed.
Just because my country says Hong Kong does it mean I am Chinese? Just like there are a lot of users that say United States or Canada, does that mean they are white? Your logic is flawed. It's ok, Hyundai fan boys never make sense when they talk.

I own a hyundai i20. Bought it with 17 inch wheels and sunroof
This time I'm so late MAT is at Carwow
LOL me too!
Too bad that the seats aren't so comfortable.
In the words of Mat (on another review): "Oh little car, you were so close to being perfect."
I'm about to buy i20 used one and there is a warranty for three years ( 1.4 L Engine, Automatic Trans and 2013 )
Is it good guys?
Thank God I reside next to the US! Our Canadian prices may be a little higher than the US but pale in comparison to what the rest of the world pays.
In VAG models similar type of interior styling is called conservative and ergonomic while in competition it's dull and boring.
Yay matt's back
which one is better? the 1.1 or the 1.2 engine? thank you so much.
3:37 I very like how this interior looks.
But for the same money I can have Fiesta, 208, Clio or Corsa... and that's what I rather ride every day.
Heya. You've Got What It Takes! undesirable volleyball What do you think, guys?
This is how they should have designed the Accent.
Yes it is. Look it up yourself.
And you should do that since it is your idea.

I'd like for Carbuyer to stop quoting the manufacturers' bloated fuel consumption figures and test it in the real world conditions.
Good old citycar review by Matt! So nice :) Even if Rebecca isn't bad at all, Matt is such a good reviewer. ;) To be continued right?!
I just say it the way TH-cam lists it. It's technically a region, but many just say country to avoid explanation and confusion.
I presume this is the same car as the Kia Rio, given that the 1.1 diesel claims 88 mpg
I like it much more than a Fabia.
0:34 Actually interior is attractive, in looks much nicer than interior in Citigo.
Yes, I'm not a fan of VW's either! I thought i20 is a good 1st car
in US u get hyundai accent for less with 10yrs 100,000 warranty and gas is twice as cheap.
itsally roomy inside after owning seat ibiza it looks the best choice for small families with children.
i have this car>>>and this car is awsm
Too bad the A/C is too weak to even cool a small area as the glove box let alone the cabin.
I have this car in Greece and let me tell u the A/C is very powerful

Anyone else thinks I20 is like the 2nd coming of Yaris? I mean in a good way.
greatest car ever made, with sporty filter cone, i could line up in sprint with some 100hp ford, sooo
Cuz in many markets and for some brands, the AC is not standard...
looks cute but that means less fun to drive mazda 2

0:20 theres a million flies on the cars hood
You cant compare it with a Rio. i20 and Rio are not in the same segment. You can compare an Accent Hatchback with a Rio Hatchback.
Why there are so many bugs landed on the car??
A car, with flies on it. There's something else that attracts flies, and this is hardly the marketing this nifty vehicle needs.
I'm looking for an i10 1.2 automatic
don't even think aboutit 😂
German cars are brilliant and have some of the best engine refinement...when they work lol

if you don't like a car because of the name you have serious problems... however i would agree that ford is much better for their suspension/steering.
