There’s a lot of differences actually. The only similar feature is the dolman sleeve :)

That dart makes such a difference to that horrible excess fabric dolmains inflict on us.

Have you ever done a video on how to extend a dolman sleeve? My mature upper arms are not something I want to feature. 😄
I have not made one because I'm not a fan of extending them more than 1" because it compromises mobility. One way to make them longer is to add a cuff and I'll have a video about that soon.

Could you make this out of a fairly stable knit?
I wouldn’t. You could in theory but you’d have to suppress the stretch on a lot of the pieces by interfacing all of them (both stands, both collars, the whole button placket). It would be bulky and the fabric would still shift and stretch a little. It would not look good and it would be a hard project to execute to look good.
Sooooo.... What's the difference between this pattern and love Notions melody dolman.
Haven't purchased the Melody yet but was planning to on Thursday. But then this pattern came on my radar.... Which one???
I have a white linen blend (can't remember exactly what the blend is) it's got a thin blue stripe. I was expecting to make horizontal on one side vertical on the other.
But which pattern???
I usually only have to add 2" (sewing tall) for an adjustment.
They are very different actually and the only thing they have in common is the dolman sleeve. The Nosara has a collar/collar stand, the Melody a camp collar, the button placket are totally different. The Nosara has a yoke with a burrito roll and the Melody doesn’t…. Many more differences. In summary, the Melody is more simple, still good but no cup sizes.
