Here you are- where you have always deserved to be! I’ve been with you since video 1- I cried for you today in a cleansing and beautiful way - praying everyone lost in transition can see this!
This speaks to my heart. I wish I knew what it could be like not hating myself or knowing love. You are right, we are hard wired to love. I’m so glad you are starting to heal and you found a modality that makes a huge difference in your well-being. I wish you continued healing.
We have to reach a point of breakthrough where we realise that the feelings of self hate and self blame are a story, the sense making of the child we were, desperately clinging to something we could be certain of. That certainty then become a prison. Who we really are , our true Self, is not described by a story but lives in relationship. Healing takes time, a life time really so we need to be kind and be patient and be compassionate to our selves as we parent the child we were into maturity. I think of the process as individuation. Disentangling ourselves from the pattern of abuse given to us by others. Thank you for you good wishes , I wish you well too.
The child in me just spoke n said why couldn't I have found you years ago, the Man I am now reassured him I needed the reflection of a Man who knows who he is now. I've told you once today but I don't think we can hear it enough, I love you Brother we've come so far.

Hi Kathy, thank you for finding the strength to write these words. I needed to know that someone understands. This morning I woke early with the usual feeling of guilt that comes after a video where I have spoken more explicitly . I lay there in the dark with the feeling that I shouldn't say any more, that lingering feeling that it was my fault and it is me that is betraying by even talking about these things. You are right, it is devastating and that heartbreak is always there, somewhere in the background but we can gradually find our place again, maybe for the first time, we can learn to trust that a life of mystery and intimacy is waiting, all we need do is decide that we are ready. It isn't a quick or easy path but it is a path . The medicine isn't a magic bullet but it is has definitely helped break the pattern , the cycle and changed me for the better. We still have to do the work to change. There'll be a part two to this video sometime tomorrow or the day after..... maybe the weekend but I'm on it ! Love Sam
@@Call-Me-Sam Dear Sam, thank you so much for your reply. Yes. I am in process of descent to the depth of my pain and hurt. I get caught in acute regret, shame, purgatory about how too often I compulsively acted out my trauma upon my husband over our 31 years together. I lost him in 2016 when he passed away too young. Basically, aside from any approximation of my having a "personality" which turns out to be merely various coping mechanisms: I was injured, therefore, I WILL injure... etc. I feel the pain I caused him; I feel utterly depressed and devastated. Yet, somehow, this is "easier"' to feel this than to access or feel my own pain of never being met, of instead being the object of my mother's blame, chronic violation, intrusiveness, and betrayal/abandonment of me --as an infant on up to her dying day, 60 years later. I am in a therapeutic process of Archetypal Dreamwork with analyst since 1996. It is helpful...but it basically comes down to the requirement to say "Yes" to the Divine. I have major trouble holding still, staying present to, receiving the love and compassion He has for me. The gap between feels too great. That gap is the pain, of how some really horrible things happened...a reality that cannot be sidestepped intellectually or with too positive spin or derailed by regret, shame, and self-loathing. Sam, I will keep you posted from time to time, as I feel your depth of understanding and growth in these most difficult of all matters of the heart and of existential beingness does allow me to dare to speak of. I greatly appreciate you sharing your process, whenever feels right for you to speak and to share.
I'm sorry that you are suffering, I understand. I've hurt so many and so deeply. Forgiveness for my self took a long time, I had to completely break apart and feel my own childhood heart break and confusion and in this acceptance, validate those long denied feelings and that long denied child. The root is clear, the path of destruction can end when the grief brings us into real acceptance, then forgiveness gradually comes and eventually feels almost effortless , a blessing, an essential gift for your self and for others. That heartbreak is what we fear, the sheer immensity held back over decades of coping seems too much but in essence that heartbreak is distilled into a few tears that when truthfully shed, bring us into presence, the clarity of right now, and right now is where we need to be. I'm waiting for the weather to ease so I can get out and make a video. I want to talk about heartbreak. Maybe tomorrow between rain showers, I'll try . The physical manifestation is terrible and I’m still working through the stolen life part of being so parentified. I’m working to heal.
Hello, I believe there has been a change in how cptsd is viewed, now seen as physical injury as much as emotional/psychological injury . Over time, I appreciate more and more that the path forward is to change as much as necessary any aspect of our lives that does not support and nourish our healing. I think this what we need more than anything. What prevents healing is our insistence on holding onto familiar patterns that no longer serve us, just imprison us, yet they feel stable. I wish you well Priscilla.

Thank you Sam. I appreciate your videos. I also believe that if you reach a point of emotional numbness where you just can't feel anymore it is really hard to breakthrough with the normal tools...healthy eating, exercise etc. Maybe you should look into ibogain treatment for anhedonia and depression...it has helped so many people. It is a lesser known plant medecine that has been used successfully to break opiate addiction and treatment resistant depression.
