    Thanks for the refresher. I’m been using this technique for about a year and it does get easier. I do have an issue with spending too much time looking for perfection.

    You may be able to improve your alignment of images with the A7iii by turning off "Steady Shot". I recently got the camera and noticed bracket shots were always a few pixels out of alignment, by turning "Steady Shot" off the alignment is spot on now.

    Thank Rich, I've never used light stands but walk around with a flash on my hip to flash all the areas. Pretty quick. Then you can use lighten for each flash shot.

    • @RichBaum

      If that works best for you than go for it.

    Hi Rich, I'm curious about your reasons for not switching the ambient to luminosity mode (as typically the case in your previous flambient tutorials)? Or are there circumstances where you still use this ? Thanks again for posting your great content

    • @RichBaum
      @RichBaum  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Neil, It's a long story but if I do Luminosity mode 10 times it only works well 6-8 of those 10x It isn't good working with over exposed areas so It's just easier to adjust my ambient shot and mask in Normal mode

      You can see the settings for this in the video and make your own brush preset. If you
      Like you can also purchase it on our Shooting Spaces website in the next day or two.
      A full tutorial is coming next.

    I may have missed it but how did you shoot the ambient (lighter) image?

    • @RichBaum
      @RichBaum  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just go for a natural medium exposed image look at your histogram that might help you something in the middle will be good hour you can also shoot a bracket so you can use what you want when you get home, you’ll get it eventually

    Thanks Rich. Im a long time fan. You mentioned on a previous video about now using ISO 500. What is the reason for this please?

    • @RichBaum
      @RichBaum  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Raising your ISO gives your flash’s more effective power. Trust me t will help your day go better. Try it.

    Thank you for this great video! One question I have, do you need to have a business to start in real estate photography? Not sure if you have a video that talks about that but I didn't find one.

    • @RichBaum
      @RichBaum  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I recommend getting a business license but that’s very easy and doesn’t really cost much so that’s one thing but honestly I don’t really focus on business on my TH-cam channel but I do offer coaching for business and I urge you to check it out by sending me an email to Rich@richbaum.com and put Coaching in the subject line and I’d be happy to get in touch with you and walk you through how I went about business when I started

    It's great to see a new Rich Baum video! I was curious if you have a tip for shooting exteriors where trees cast shadows on the house. I was thinking of bracketing shots and masking in the overexposed shot to lighten the shadow. Is that how you would handle it? Thanks again!

    • @RichBaum
      @RichBaum  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t worry too much about natural shadows.

  • @DavidJones-iq8hp
    @DavidJones-iq8hp 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks so much, So much to learn. I am a bit confused. Are you just taking just 2 shots, 1 ambient, and 1 flash for each scene as opposed to using 3+ multiple brackets?

    • @RichBaum
      @RichBaum  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never auto bracket. If I need I will take a couple of different exposures to get the right one. My goal is to take the least amount of images. I never want to auto bracket cause I Don’t think I need it.

      @@RichBaum Thanks so very much for your reply...My thoughts exactly. Your workflow just makes sense. I hear so many sending out most of their images to an editor. You do make it look very easy! experience does have some benefits. Once I can get shooting and be more consistent in the edit process. I appreciate your efforts....thank you.

    Very helpful video !! So happy you did a revisit because I wasn’t sure if the old ones were dated. Question what is the name of the full bump you use for the a6400 on your website called ? Would this refer to just the regular full bump on the website ? I wish to purchase that exact preset on your website and want to make sure I have the correct one.

    • @RichBaum
      @RichBaum  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have 2 full bumps, for my full frame a73 and crop Sensor a6400.
      Bothe are the same except for the perspective correction.
