I met up with a friend for about 6 months at a local Wendy's to talk about budgeting and getting out of debt using the Dave Ramsey method... True story!
Since there were four kids in our family, my mom would sometimes take one of us out of school/call us out, take that one child to donuts, and spend the day together. I will never forget it. Take those kids out for a mental health day! It's SO worth it.
Just saw this after hearing about it from, I think, the new FPU! Love it! As for my a drink you should try is Liquid Marijuana...we call it Angry Alligator. It has pineapple and different liquors. It really tasty. Too bad for the name.🤷♀️
I give my four sons one “mental health day” per semester (4 per year) for no reason if they haven’t missed for illness and have a B average or higher in their courses and no tests that day. Avoids lying to me, needless medicine given or dr appts and allows them to control their own lives. All employers have vacation/PTO time and in this high stress world - perfect attendance only wins you ribbons and awards…. An occasional day off for yourself is immensely beneficial ❤
I did that with my kids in the spring. I would get them up and act like they were going to school then get to the parking lot and say…no! We’re going to go have fun today!!! We would have that day once a year

King cake is actually a tradition for 3 Kings day Jan 6 and the baby Jesus is put in the cake, the cake is cut and whoever gets the baby has to throw the next party.
King cake stems from a pagan festival celebrated by the Ancient Roman Empire. It was a festival originally called Saturnalia, was used to celebrate Saturn, the God of Agriculture. Very similar to the behavior of Mardi Gras, Saturnalia was a festival which the people could drink, gamble, party, and copulate to their hearts’ desire. First century Christians did not celebrate this.
24:00 - At the movies! Hubby and I would leave at the break of a $2 double feature and sneak in burger and fries for the 2nd. A friend and I planned to sneak in sandwiches, but she opted for Chinese instead‼️
This episode is so much fun! As a Gen Xer, I never thought I’d enjoy a Millennial podcast this much. I hope George will teach us a new phrase in Arabic every week!
This was a good episode for the first video! One thing you guys could try for future episodes is to look at the camera when you’re doing your intro or when you’re talking specifically to the listeners/viewers so it feels like we’re in the room with you as we’re watching. Something really cool you could do for the title card is when you clink your glasses, have two champagne glasses clink together in the center and separate to both sides with the teal screen in the background, have the show title either drop down or zoom forward and then have confetti fall down. Just a thought. 🙂 Also, the close-up shots of Lyndsey are much better than the shots panning away with all three of you, so I would just keep the close-ups of her whenever she chimes in. Last thing, if you want to have your advertisements in the video like the audio podcasts, go ahead and film them ahead of time so it has more of the feel of cutting over to a commercial. Keep up the good work, and love the content! 🙂
Mathematically you pay down the most coslty first. So if one is $10k for 10% it costs $1000 a year, and one is $9K at 5% it costs $450 per year. So the bigger APR one is costing you way more money per year so the thought is pay that off first. It does make a difference, though it is a marginal gain.

The baby is actually baked into the king cake and if you get the slice with the baby I think it’s supposed to be a “good financial luck” type thing. (Don’t quote me on that)
