Hi Lydia, I haven't had time to watch youtube for a few months, so i just caught the end of this video on March 6. I'm sorry to hear your beautiful Libby is facing a tough path but very grateful she has such wonderful, loving parents to support and help her. Sending warm wishes to all of your family. 💗💗💗
Thank you for sharing your story about your conversation with your mentor. I am going through a similar situation with my job, and I so needed to hear this advice. Hoping December (and 2024) is better for you. ❤
Thank you so much for sharing the challenges of this time. I always appreciate how REAL you are about life. Can you do a video just about why and how you journal? I'm trying to find my practice/process but it's been a struggle.
Great video! Thanks so much. I was wondering if you could elaborate more on how to “work backwards/project management”. Asking as someone who is unfamiliar with all of that. In life and in the kitchen. Lol😊
@@TheRealLydiaSenn Thank you 😊 I am cherishing this year. My husband and I have four girls, the oldest turns 18 in January. Our youngest is two. So definitely enjoying every minute with them this year. Have a blessed and joyful December! Merry Christmas 🎄 to you and your family!
omg lol I always say november is my LEAST favourite month. Here in southern ontario, it hovers around 0 degrees (the freezing point in metric) so you either get freezing rain or normal rain that's so cold it chills you to the bone. And it's DARK for sooooo long every day. Anyway, i have been to alabama in the summer so i can appreciate that you suffer then. Also you are always such a bright light helping to light up my long canadian winter. ❤❤❤
Hi Lydia! I am reluctant to be a pain in the butt, but you made that apple salad you made for Tksgiving sound so good I'm really interested in seeing the recipe ... (you mentioned linking it but I don't see any link in the description box unless I'm blind). When you get a moment (haha - what free time? I know you're thinking) can you include the apple salad recipe? Thanks and I love all of your videos!
When you talked about the books you were reading I had to laugh. When I was working on my B.S. fulltime & working fulltime with 2 toddlers I called it my Brain Candy. Sometimes you just need fluff & sweet so the brain can untie the knots and reset.
Thanks for the share Lydia. Praying you get well soon. ❓Can you make a video on how you moved from Georgia to Alabama? The circumstances…I am thinking of moving to a warmer state from the cold Midwest in Spring 2024. Tired of long winters. ❤
I probably won't make a video since it happened a decade ago. My husband just got a job here. I honestly wouldn't choose to move to Alabama. (It literally ranked 43/50 in places to live in a recent study) It's not great here. My parents live here so I probably won't leave anytime soon. Alabama has very low literacy rates, high poverty rates and gets a ton of federal money to bridge the gap. The hospitals are ranked some of the lowest in the nation.
I am holding on to hope by keeping those close to me closer. I am the youngest in my family and my sister and brother are quite a lot older than me. My brother and I have not always been close but we have grown closer in the last 10 years. My sister and I maintain daily contact and I am grateful for her. I am keeping hope alive by nourishing those relationships and taking them with me into the new year. On a different note, I worked with children with developmental delays for many years. Just remember, development, in none of us, is linear. Also small triumph's have big pay offs over time. You and your husband are your daughter's best and strongest advocate. And that kind of parent is the most wonderful thing any child can have in their corner. So glad you found a supportive community. Enjoy your "Hallmark" novels! Great brain relaxation!
You’re doing the best you can. Hope your 100 percent better real soon. And I’m so happy your reading easy stuff for December. I do the same and YES to Harry Potter. 🥰.
You truly are an amazing faith filled woman. What a blessing you are to this community. I have raised 4 children as well so I know how hard that can be at times and how busy the holidays are. I wish you and your family Gods blessings this year and into the new year. Thank you for continuing to make videos with your busy schedule ❤
I needed to hear your message of hope today. I had a conversation with my eldest son yesterday, and he shared some news that felt overwhelming and heartbreaking. It's been weighing heavily on me these past 24 hours. Thank you for reminding me that all things shall be restored. 🙏❤
Happy to hear you're on the mend🤒. Life ebbs & flows-you're doing great! You are a loving, compassionate, caring & a delight. Keep being the wonderful person you are...hope y'all have a wonderful Christmas, & a Healthy Happy 2024!✨️🎄🎁🎉
Hope you feel completely better soon! I'm starting to feel a little "sinusy" infection too. I've used Amazon like crazy this year and have completed about 90% of my Christmas shopping, which for me The Big Procrastinator is a huge win!
I deal with overwhelm by breaking things into baby steps. Instead of 'I have to send out all the Christmas cards' I break it down: gather the addresses (and I delegated this to my husband). Address 5 cards a day (or three, or one, or whatever I can deal with.) Buy stamps. Etc. It's amazing how much gets done using this process.
Thanksgiving isn’t about what you serve to eat, I keep telling myself that cause I always host (and take all the “strays” bc I would be beside myself if I knew someone had no where to go or people to be with) and cook everything myself and tend to go overboard on food. I say one year I’m gonna order pizza, lol I totally get Jason’s reaction to the rolls! I miss all the little kid stuff at the holidays! It goes sooo fast! Now I’ve gotta 24 year old out of college and very gainfully employed living 2 hours away. The other is 19 and studying physics and is getting internships so won’t come home for breaks anymore😢. I no longer tend to over schedule but I always really made effort to not do that when they were younger. I was big on building in “boredom” (what we used to call not scheduling every minute with something) so my kids learned to rest and occupy themselves. Enjoy December!
I just have to say how much I appreciate your channel and realism. I was having a rough morning and binging your videos so helped. Though we have very different faith feelings, I love how open you are and show how you incorporate it into your life.@@TheRealLydiaSenn
Love your honesty… it’s such a soul hug! Have you tried the Harry Potter audible versions? Read by Stephen Fry they are truly wonderful 😊 When you talked about restoration after locusts it had me sobbing. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that. Thank you x
I'm prepping for one of the most painful Christmas' of my life, by remembering Emmanuel--He is with me.... He intercedes for me... He holds my sorrow...I always put out my nativity the Friday after Thanksgiving... it keeps me focused that their is hope waiting in the darkness...I love each video you do!! they ground me!! Blessings, to you!
Thanksgiving to New Year's is all Hallmark movies and holiday romance novels for me. It's not the kind of thing I typically watch/read regularly but for roughly 6 weeks of the year, it's ON. Not holiday related or Hallmark-y, but anyone who likes a romance that's racier should read some Lucy Score, especially the "Things We..." series. Things get steamier (though not crazy far like 50 Shades) and the storylines are messier, less Fairytale. I'm totally hooked despite not being the biggest romance fan.
I hold on to hope by remembering God loves us and his plan is better than ours, with an eternal view, and he has the power to do absolutely anything if he wants to. So I trust him that everything is in his hands not mine and he knows best
Honey, you are running yourself ragged and sick! Poor thing. Im so glad to hear that you are not setting huge goals for December and you have vowed to simply enjoy your family and the holidays. I feel like you always set too many really hard and almost unattainable goals monthly, and then feel like you failed some how for not completing them all. I suspect that you will have trouble with doing what you have vowed, however, almost as much as doing too much! lol Please promise to allow yourself some self care and rest time this month as well. Cuz aint nobody gonna write on your tombstone: "Here lies Lidia who finished two classes in November 2023". These wonderful days, while your family is still young and at home, will never return. Please be healthy and present for them all as they are fleeting. Bettering yourself is amazing. Pacing yourself is a learned skill. And finally, Lidia, please remember what you DID do in November: you completed one class; You cooked dinner for all of your parents friends with only 2 days notice and pulled it off! You read the book Harry Potter and many, many books with your littles; You completed Christmas shopping for your entire family BEFORE Thanksgiving! That in of itself is unbelievable, my friend! So have some pride for what you DID accomplish last month and give yourself some Grace. You are a mere mortal not a super hero. Although many would argue with me about that! :)

Your videos are always so realistic. It’s like a breath of fresh air.
Thank you
Lydia- your skin is flawless! I am admiring your glow!!
Thank you
These are my fav videos!! Hang in there
I’m so glad 😃
We watch Home Alone the Friday after Thanksgiving because I watched it on NBC as a kid also!
Core memory
I covered all my kids presents with garbage bags so in the corner of my bedroom was a mountain of garbage LOL 😂 seriously luv your content ❤
Thank you. That’s a really great strategy.

My son is a senior in high school and I’m only focusing on enjoying his last year. I’m saying no to a lot of things and people.
Thx for the reference to Year of the Locust-needed that today💜
Things are going to get restored and better. Excellent mantra, I needed it. Thank you a lot ❤
Jenny Colgan, a British author has really lovely Christmas (easy cosy read) books. I read one every year.

Not a pain at all! Thanks for the reminder. It’s added now.
On Thanksgiving after the Parade on TV. We place the movie called The Christmas Story on repeat while cooking. "You'll shoot your eye out, kid.😂😂"
I love your share. You make me feel like anything is possible. I hope you feel better soon! 💜
You dont even realise how much I needed this today - thank you for this xxx
I’m so glad. I almost cut it out (I already edited out so much) but I felt a move to keep that part in.
I’m glad you did - ur so inspiring and calming xxx
Thank you for being so honest so we all don’t feel alone. You are wonderful. Merry Christmas and a Blessed healthy New Year! 😊
Merry Christmas

Claiming the promise of restoration some day. Xx things are hard with special needs and a broken community. We're forging a new one.

There are so many people across the country with same sickness..
Cold and flu season
Loveeee these always! Nash is into Harry Potter right now too - he just turned 10! You are doing amazing, mama!!!!
Thank you. I just watched your Christmas decorating video yesterday. I’m going to go back and comment on it. But everything looked so good!
@@TheRealLydiaSenn aw you are always so supportive! I always love to come back every once in a while and dust off my editing skills. 🤍

Good morning beautiful lady
I always loved the bouncy jump parks for birthday parties. No home mess and everyone including kids and adults have fun and get exercise too!
We have 3 kids that are delayed🙏💚
♥️♥️♥️
Rereading Harry Potter counts st anytime. What a perfect series to be reading when everything else isn't going as planned

Nice Thanksgiving save! You really pulled it off despite the chaos. Also GREAT job with the tuition payments and not taking out loans.
I’m doing the same thing as far as not over scheduling and over committing. I’m hoping my stepdad gets the help he needs regarding his health.
Good for you on your reading selections! Life it too short to not enjoy the happily ever after books☺️
So true!

When I need hope, I read "The Alchemist" by Paulo Cuehlo. I've probably given at least 20 copies of the book to friends, family and coworkers.
🙂
Gratitude for your efforts. have more children. :)
