I really appreciate this video and all the other videos you've made on this mouse. My OP18K is on its way and I'm really glad you've made a guide that goes over absolutely everything
Thank you so much for this video. My side buttons broke and it turns out the PCB snapped out of place with the screws still on somehow and i just had to take everything apart and put it back into place. I wouldnt have been able to fix it without this so thank you.
Subscribed. Everything was clear to follow. I like the durable internals and attention to detail! I'm about to buy this beast of a mouse tomorrow! Do I need to solder the new switches in the pcb if they ever get broken or do they provide a new pcb as well?
Hey! Just like the main clicks, is it possible to replace the side click PCB to have silent switches like the Huano browns ? Or the only way would be soldering them with this existing PCB ? Thank you !
hey, i'm curious to know about the dimensions & measurements of the PCB, i'd like to know if it's possible to mount it on a zeromouse chassis? thanks a lot
Hey! One of my main click screws “screwed out” when I hit my mouse a little too hard in a rage. I have put it in a place where I won’t lose it, so I’m asking: should I disassemble my mouse and screw it back in now, or can I keep using my mouse and screw it back in someday when I’m ready? 😅
I'd advise reinstalling it asap, if there is only one screw anchoring in the click there's a chance you can snap it with prolonged used, so I'd reinstall the screw asap to prevent any permanent damage.
@@Mr.Harriss I don't know sorry, haven't used the OP1 WE myself. I'd assume the switched are the same socket, but no way to know unless you open up the unit.
I've swapped a few boards but I haven't done any super heavy modding. Been trying to get my hands on a 3D printer so I can try my hand at really modding a mouse!
Definitely one of my fav reviewers to watch 💪🏿 inspiring me to step my content up for sure! Keep going it’s much appreciated

Happy to help!

Glad it helped!
WTF, youre the goat for this video, literally. +rep
Excellent in depth video. Thanks for going over everything!!!

If you buy replacement ones from EGG I'm 99% sure they come pre-soldered, but that might vary from region to region.
True master! And this mouse looks so good! Must buy it.

Only way would be to solder on new switches, totally doable but not as easy to do as the main clicks.
@@mel0nFPS okey I see, thanks a lot for your reply

@@mel0nFPS Okay, thanks so much!
@@mel0nFPS Turns out it was screw that was holding the hotswap switches
@@joes9256 Go back in OK?
@@mel0nFPS got it in perfectly and already using the mouse 👍
Can we change the click pcb with the hotswapable click pcb of op1we (not a solder tiny pcb)?
I'm not sure, I'd assume yes given the design but I'm not 100% sure.
@@mel0nFPS does it have a same socket or not?
I already bought the hotswapable tiny pcb, but i think i make a mistake, i bought for the op1we model.

Thank you for the information.
😁
Are all screw hole sizes the same? Which are different?
The main board screws are slightly smaller but you can remove all the screws in the unit with the included screw-driver or a similar sized bit.
have you ever modded a board onto a different mouse shell?

Thanks mel0n 🙏
i need help my gx speed double click i have op1 8k
Add a denounce in the software and make sure you have the GX mode enabled if you use the stock switches.
differences between op1 and op1 8k?

Hey! Is the scrollwheel encoder replaceable?
You'd have to desolder it to remove it and install the new one, but yes it'd be replaceable.
PLEASE WEIGH THE PARTS
Hey! I've started doing this in more recent teardowns, any future ones will have the parts weighed too!
@@mel0nFPSawesome, you don’t happen to know the weight of the op18k pcb?
@@rexyyurr_3639 Not off the top of my head sorry. I'd assume around 10 - 15gs but it might be lower.
