    I mean, at least he was honest, that's hard to find nowadays. He accepted responsibility, he self snitched a lot. I think he just thought this wasn't that big of a deal and didn't want to bullshit. Respect for that, even people like him deserve respect - accepting and admitting what you did wrong and face the consequences.

    1. He showed waaaayyyy too much wealth (got a lot of attention) 2. He showed how easy it was to distribute a signal from a server and make cable way cheaper (inspires people to do the same) 3.     He has 5 years to learn and use his intellect and all other talents -to get it all back. Just do it, legally and he’ll be good. You can’t stop a person that’s already “made it” on their own.
    You can tell he’s genuine, owned up to his wrong doings, etc etc.

    this case is a great example of how the "justice system" works in this country. if you take from the rich you go to jail. if the rich commit actions that hurt poor people (or worse get them killed) they will get off with a small fine if even that in some cases.

    I want to shit on this guy, but honestly he's kind of a genius, and him taking accountability seems genuine. That being said, he's definitely keeping a ton of money, and he's only going to prison for a couple years - financial crimes are really the most lightly punished crimes. Also it looks like the case really took a toll on his body - hope he's doing alright

      Depends on what kind of financial crimes. If you’re scamming and defrauding grandmas and stealing their life savings you’d best believe that the judge is most likely not gonna go easy on you. But in this case the harm from his actions wasn’t really tangibly felt by any actual person so I’m sure that played a role in him getting a light sentence.

    I think the big thing is that not only did he never change his tune, but hes also walking the walk instead of just talking the talk. I can definitely get behind that. Hes not just another scammer or whatever, because of all of this. Most scammers would lie and cheat right to the bitter end, and even after theyre thrown in prison. He accepted it and was humble about it. Like he said from the very start, take responsibility.
