Dry haram is best. Got wok hei which comes from uncle skills, wok and charcoal smoke.
I love both style..i'll choose chinese style char kuey teow for breakfast/lunch while malay style for dinner

Some places can order CKT kering also. Ive had a part time job back then cooking CKT after finish high school, we boiled the shrimp head in the soy sauce ❤

Yup Wong totally right about that.. it definitely harder to find a good delicious Worth every penny CKT dried one or wet one..
To be honest after i got "food scammed" by the CKT stall at pasar malam. I just avoid buying CKT at pasar malam.. and totally i will never expected that the way the chef make it with style and fast just another "gimmick" to sell their food..
Dont get me wrong.. i am not saying that at all pasar malam they don't have a good delicious CKT.
Maybe i am a bit sensitive about food related.. especially if i get scammed.. 😅😅 rasa nak ketuk je penjual tuu dengan senduk dan pakaikan kuali kat kepala dia sambil siap bagi pusing kuali atas kepala dia macam gasing. 😅😅
Especially those shop that fry a huge bunch together.. always taste dissapointing cause not enough "wok hei"

It doesn't matter its dry or wet. As long as it taste good, take my money.

guys, we should have a trip to my hometown in Alor Setar, Kedah...there we can try a lot more local food such as nasi royal, nasi ali, mee sotong, laksa teluk kecai, char kuey teau .. also we can visit the former Tun Mahathir birth house, we can also go to pekan rabu... we can stay at my grandmas house too, can see the paddy fields in front the house... come, i invite u. we can make the trip together because i live in Selangor.
I choose char kuey teow to eat recording to the whether during hot day i prefer to eat dry char kuey teow but during raining i eat wet char kuey teow🤤🤤🤤 thanks god we only have two season in Malaysia 😅

Actually i came from indian+malay decent n i am muslim but i LOVE both malay or chinese style CKT..CKT origin from chinese but in malaysia its doesnt matter as long as the dish is good n sedap of course for the muslim we need the halal one..even indian or chinese nasi lemak skalipun xda masalah asalkan sedap dan halal kami satu malaysia akan support!

Guys, you both should try the malay char kue tiow at wangsa maju. In front of 7eleven beside the red chair restaurant, it's just a hawker stall but their char kue tiow for me is the best! they only open 7pm to midnight and it more happening on weekends.

Actually if u want CKT that dry with Malay twist u try ask for CKT Kerang.... that usually dry. CKT Malay style more dominant with soy sauce, it will look darker. Mostly this kind of dry CKT u can find in North Malaysia like Kedah and Perlis and Penang mostly Malay CKT will be wet.
