Yes , many KL Old Masters already retired & the cooking & serving are now mostly manned by Burmese workers ... Luckily they work well & trying to follow the instructions ... But old materials or ingredients are harder to sourced nowadays , thus the slightly different taste of today's offerings as compared to those cooked by their Old Masters in the 1970s to the 1990s ... 🙏 Thank You So Much for the tour & taste sharings! 🌷🌿🌎💜🕊🇲🇾🇰🇷

Agreed completely... the 'hand taste' is so difficult to find these days...
Nowadays in KL its difficult to even find a hawker stall with local cook anymore :(

Like Kim, I also prefer bihun to other type of noodle if I eat it with soup. Bihun tends to absorb the soup more than other noodle, but not become mush like kuew tiau.

OMG.. so little the soup even added on and, no sliced eggs! Go earlier in the morning if want to try smthg at a kopitiam with seafood ingredients.. more fresh. Nvr order whn a stall is abt to close.

Bcoz penang food uses a lot of MSG (artificial flavoue enhancers) and it is really bad for your health.
