Actually Hayden was been amazing audiences much sooner than high school. He was doing some card tricks in 8th grade which none of his teachers, including me, could figure out (then known as Haydini). He is a fine young man and I'm so proud of how far he has come in his career and look forward to seeing how much further he'll go. Well done, Hayden!

I'm so glad we've reached the point where truly impressing P&T is as meaningful as fooling them. Great routine.
It's always more important to Penn and Teller that it's a great routine. They invite people that haven't fooled them back on stage and even perform with them.

They're passionate about Magic, but I love how they never talk down magicians. Well Penn more than Teller with the talking hahaha, but even when they don't get fooled, they are always complimentary ☺️☺️☺️

People have given Alyson flack for being ditzy and awkward, especially compared the the calm and composed Jonathan Ross of earlier seasons, but it's these kinds of quircky moments that give the performers something to play off of. It serves the act and I think she's a great host.
@@RedmarKerkhof for sure. its kind of unfair comparing her to jonathan cos they are both different. jonathan is entertaining in his own way, but so is allison. she represents the spectators very well as well imo.

What a beautiful routine ! Yes. I am big fan of P&T. It is not always about fooling them - it is always about good entertainment. And absolutely yes - it was. Thx Mr. Childress.
One of those routines where you start out kinda bored, but then it surprises you with a twist and gets better and better from there. You certainly got the "exceeding expectations" part down!
Bro that Ace of Spades trick was some legit dedication, I tip my hat.

The simplest yet one of the best routine I've ever seen on this show. My mind was blown.
Any trick that begins with something stupid immediately has my attention because I love that roller coaster ride of escalation. I suspect how this trick is done is very very simple, but the skill to do it must be insane!!! I love it!!!
I know how this trick works. You see that stutter in the video? He is using a lag switch and some frame perfect timing in order to clip through his fingers.

People talk about going the extra mile. Sounds like you went the extra 1,500 miles for that ace trick.
Doing close up magic is one thing, above that is using the audience to assist in the magic, never knew you could go above that, and actually have them be the one performing magic. That is so special. This is on a whole level on its own.
The routining here is almost better than the trick itself. Absolutely brilliantly put together!

A lot of magicians aren't trying to fool P&T, especially if they learned their trick from a book. But it's a great honour to go on their show, and it's a great way to gain a bit of exposure.

They're either established magicians who just want to do a tried & true trick *extremely well* for the entertainment of the audience and P&T, or they're up & comers who even if they don't fool them, have gotten tons of exposure and a really good chance at getting new and particularly lucrative gigs.
I think they should get some type of reward for impressive performances as well. two people can do the same trick, but one stands out.

All I’m going to say is that motion blur is this guy’s friend in this routine. Amazing trick. I was completely fooled until Penn dropped his final clue. Even knowing how it’s done, I still can’t see it happening.

Its an easy one, do it . With only one small extra in your Pocket u can fool any house party.
Penn has called a lot of routines beautiful. Sometimes he's dead on like with Shin Lim, and a lot of the times I have no idea why he's saying it. Either it's flattery, or there's something I'm just missing.
For this one, Penn is dead on. Your routine was really calculated, you've clearly worked on it for a long time. It was like each line was built to catch somebody who doesn't already know the trick's next thought. I really liked it, the flow was damned excellent. A trick doesn't need to be technically great to be masterfully delivered, and that's what you've done here. Right on Hayden.
I think, in many cases, he's using "beautiful" to mean "clean and smooth; flawlessly enacted."

One of the most awe inspiring act. It breaks your heart to not see such acts get a consolation prize at least.
The trophy is the consolation. Appearing on national television and getting compliments from Penn is the main prize.
A good routine on Penn and Teller usually translates into more bookings and more ticket sales which is an excellent consolation prize.

Can see the thumb pulling out of the tape but only because we can see close up from the cameras.
To be fair: with Penn & Teller you could've probably used pretty much any classical magic item you wanted and chances are they'd have it lying around their home anyways :) Fantastic trick though, very nicely done.

Anyone with a rational mind can very easily see and understand this is not illusion. You are doing real magic and it is MINDBLOWING! Some of the simplest effects, I think are done with the most sophisticated technique. Clearly, you are from the future, and using some amazing co-location technology to allow matter to pass through other matter. There is no other explanation. Well done! Fantastically done!

@@stephenhosking7384 Just look at his thumb when he wrapped his fingers with tape. it's missing. Meaning he can pull it out anytime and stick it back in the tape.
Where as for Allison, the tape was securely in the middle both both finger and thumb and impossible to pull out.
