Wonderful, Military Events! I love seeing the Drum Majors in their red uniforms rather than the sort of sacred historic gold ones they wear when royalty is present at a ceremony. To me, they look so much more impressive in this style.
Gail Knight if you mean the musicians it's because some are wearing a Scarlet Apron, the reason they have the Aprons is to prevent the buttons and tunics getting damaged, from the constant contact from the instruments. The Aprons wrap around the waist which is where the belt is, which in turns makes it look like they aren't wearing belts. Hope this helps!
Great repertoire! How many parades does the band do? It seems that they are almost always on the march. As a drummer I know that we never stopped playing from our "street beat" to the marches it was perpetual playing. It looks like some of the veterans groups are are better turned out than the others. The British arm swing has to take it out of you.

My goodness, some of the bandsmen look like they're in grade school. Some appear only five feet tall.
Indeed, nothing wrong with women joining the bands but for ch..sake take in account how it looks…
