Spiffing video as always Sir! Most enjoyable! I loved seeing all the different Bands. I was happy that the USA was represented, although the joy sort of went away once I saw the Drum Majors style! I honestly don't understand why the US Drum Majors never know how to swing their arms nor maces! Just my own personal opinion. But, nevertheless that didn't take away from the Spiffing video. Many Thanks for this series MBE!
BRAVO! As a former U.S. Army Bandsman (1968-1971) this was particularly enjoyable on a Saturday morning. So many complex drum cadences, precision marching and musicianship. Thank you.
@@BernardBouchard-qq9kq You may have seen a combined (Composite) Band. I had friends who were assigned to the (¿NATO?) U.S. Army HQ Band in Germany who tell of big parades with several Armored and Infantry Division Bands (~50 each in those days) plus the big HQ Band. My only traveling as a U. S. Army Bandsman was Barstow, CA, the former Republic of Vietnam and Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
@@Princeton5 Can't really remember, you might be right. It's been years since i last saw the movie. Think i might look it up again since the movie is actually free to watch here on YT.
@@Tunerbill When I served as a US Army Bandsman with the 433d Army Band, a high ranking officer requested that our front rank trombone players coordinate their slides to look more "military." Had I been our CO, I would have ordered 5 valve trombones! (Alas, I was merely the bass drum & oboist, with a clarinet MOS.)
Interesting selection of bands.
US Army with the classic song to start with. Like it.

In my opinion, I think “The President’s Own” and “The Commandant’s Own” drum majors are fantastic!
You are not alone. The US Army Field band was outstanding but I was distracted by the odd motions of its drum major.
Thanks Military Bands Everywhere 👍👍 Greeting from the Marching Band Channel from The Netherlands
Thanks for filming the parade🙌🏻 Great work!

@@charlottecunningham2141 You are welcome. I wish my year in the Republic of Vietnam (RVN) had turned out better for all. Blessings.
Eläköön sotilasmusiikki!
We had a army band perform at Heidelberg in aug.1970 biggest army band I ever saw.

I cane across this channel by chance and as a lover of marching bands, I was very impressed !!
Thank you, I am glad you have enjoyed and will enjoy many more videos to come!!
As an American, I'd say Norway had the best band.
Super !!
Норвежцы - красавчики!😅
I attended the March show in the Bastion. It was a great patriotic event. The US played Säkkijärven Polkka. Wov.
Parasta mitä Haminassa on joka toinen vuosi ❤
This reminds me of 55 days in peking..... without the combat/war
how come?
@@Princeton5 In the beginning of that movie you also see bands marching from different countries.
@@Milan74 ah yes I remember seeing that bit but were they not just playing their countries anthem raising the flag instead of marching?

Komiaa.
🎉
I'm very impressed with the finnish band's drumming!
Yes, it was very clean and the sound of their Loyal Drums is very deep and martial!
@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere A Great american drum maker!
Do you know what the trombone-like instrument in the first rank of the Swedish band is? It is different than the ones in the back.
It is a valve trombone. Literally a trombone with valves instead of a slide. The 3 valves are rotary instead of piston valves.
@@Tunerbillit is also probably different because the Swedes are a mounted band and thus need to be able to play one-handedly while on horseback.

No scots ,no party ..no gurkas too .. The real winners . Edinburgh Tattoo now.. Lapin pojat soitti hyvin sekavia
When marching in, the U.S band shgould have more POWER in the Bass Trombone.......
Groups are following too fast.
Where's the band from the Grand Duchy of Fenwick?
More like a bunch of Majorettes, rather than a professional army! Makes a change for them to be marching FORWARD, rather than on RETREAT!
Klamauk …
La Escuela Militar de Chile ..es muchomejor que estas bandas 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
but the military is not.
