The fact that you stood the entire time while doing these twists is crazzyyyyy😭🔥
Right 😂 standing the entire time is wild but it came out bomb!! 🔥
It low key is comfortable but of course your back gets a little tired. That’s how I do my hair most of the time.
@@shaniaa7477girl literally 5 mins standing and my back hurts from doing mini twist 😂, I literally debated for a hour if I wanted to do mini twist or straighten my hair and I went with straightening it since that took less time haha
My kneed would swell like a balloon 😂😂
@@AdoseofAlana_ 🤣
I wish I knew how addictive this hairstyle would be when I did my first set last year. The length /retention is lengthing. The health is healthing. 100/10 would recommend
“Addictive” is DEFINITELY the perf word lol I LOVVEEEEE
Is it difficult to untwist and comb out?
@@cakedecor8it’s not too difficult. It’s just time consuming because you don’t want to rip your hair out.
🙄THIS IS WHY I NEED TO STOP WATCHING YT AT WORK Just ordered a threeway mirror after seeing her say she wore these for 3 months, and it reminded me why I missed wearing mini twists, even though they take a little minute to do, you CANNOT beat 3 months of minimal care. Ill be in this bathroom crying this weekend.
EXACTLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! you literally get ITTTT!!!!!!!!!
@@maryjacob8873 mine lasted a month but hey. A win is a win!
🤣🙏
For people scared that their hair will loc up: don’t use a gel, try not to create too much friction in your hair (while sleeping, washing, etc). And every so often, take a rat tail comb and poke through the twists that seem very frizzy to undo any intermingling of hair - XO, a loctician lol
are you able to wash these? because i remember last time i did it my hair was hard to detangle taking them out
@@WizaGaming you can, but as I said, don’t scrub them too much or you’re going to create loose/free hair that can then tangle
@@WizaGamingDetangle with your hand to avoid breakage and retain the length. Using a brush adds friction to the hair
Isi... you did THAT!!!! 💁🏾♀️ It is a luxury to not have to worry about your hair while still protecting and caring for it.
It looks amazing with length and you have no worries of rain on hair and other hair drama..I love it beyond
LITERALLY A LUXURY!!! It was the best feelingggg… especially on the days it rained or snowed & I didn’t have any “hair anxiety”🙌🏾
Mini twist for hair growth is the TRUTH!!!! I been natural for so long but my hair never went past my shoulders. After four months of wearing mini twists my hair is past my collarbone.
The key is being consistent in the maintenance of mini twists!!!
I keep my twist in for a month but every for every 2 weeks I keep my twists in and only shampoo the scalp and let the shampoo run down my hair length. I deep conditioner and dry the twists till damp and then I undo a twist and finger detangle the whole length then use sweet almond oil or hair butter and retwist the hair. The routine keeps my hair looking fresh and moisturized. If I find my hair to be dry during the week before wash day I just spray my hair with warm water + sweet almond mixture. This routine works with mini braids but it’s alot more time consuming with mini braid compared to mini twists.
Ayyyeee🔥🔥sounds like a dope routine! I barely did any refreshing or maintenance upkeep this first time around on some lazy natural energy lol BUT I will definitely keep this in mind for next time👌🏾
Congrats on your healthy hair growth journey btw😉
love that for youuuu!!!!!!!
Wow! Love it! How long does the re-ttwist take? It seems very time consuming 😢
So when you keep them in for 3 months how do you keep hair from locking up?
@@pamelasawash , condition and re twist every two weeks
I did mini twist on my self. Took 5hour 46minute. It’s so beautiful . So full so thick . I’ll focus on this as my length retention for this year
Same!! I'm about to put in a new set this week. I want to try braiding the roots this time. I heard that it helps with frizzy roots
@@MeaB15it definitely helps and helps with knotting as well. I put my set in a month and I do not want to take them out
love the twist not so much the edges but as long as u like them
I’ve never been a fan of dramatic edges but I think your twists are beautiful 😍
I started out doing 2 strand twists and keeping them in for months (even washing my hair in the twists, taking them down, and retwisting them) and now I’ve been locked for 4 years 😅 it was/ is the best protective style but it could lead to locs 😂
I don’t have type 4 hair, but when I first went natural in 2016 my junior year you were and still are my big sister during my journey. I admire you so much and thank you for being that for me. I am the big sister and I didn’t have anyone to learn from.
Aww, that is so heartwarming. I am happy for you!
Me, who is currently bald: yasssss a mini twist viddddd
Lollll🤣💀💀you’re funny! Appreciate it sis🫶🏾
I always start my mini twist with a braid . It definitely makes the take down process longer but it lasts longer and lays flatter/neater. Love your videos
I thought about doing that at first but i watched a girl’s takedown video of that and it was ROUGH😰 + I LOVED how full it looked the older it got for me personally… wasn’t as “neat” but looked super natural🔥🔥
& thanks btw sis❤️🔥
I do the same cause my hair starts to frizz out on the first day and by the end of the week it is so bad to look at, mine last 3 weeks max cause am not a fan of gel and i do different sizes.
I can relate to how HAPPY she is... 💖
I just discovered TWISTING about a month ago, and I've been twisting my hair every since-- loving the fact that I don't have to style it everyday! ✨
ISSA LOVE LANGUAGEEEEE🙌🏾 I can’t wait to do them again!!
I love love the twists. Not a fan of the edges.... but if you love them that's all that matters!!
I agree with this comment completely. I have the same stance hair cute and the edges as long as you love them
Same. A little more subtle with them, for this style.
came here to say the same !
I think she needs some practice on the edges. Yikes. At that point id have someone do them for me. It takes practice though. But I watch her channel alot. So I enjoy her content
@@Kybae1996
She’s done the same edges for nearly a decade. Practice has nothing to do with it.
I’ve been struggling with my hair. It’s getting too long, it’s a little shorter than yours. THANK YOU! THIS helps me a lot.
I’ve been loc’d for almost two years and I still love and tune into Isi doing her hair! Forever my hair crush🤍
your hair is healthy and beautiful
Yassss! Her healthy hair and long inches are 😍🔥🔥
This hairstyle is what made me just go ahead and loc my hair cause of how addictive these were to have 😂😂 this was my go to style
I did my first set of mini twists february of last year and I'm never going back to anything else!!!! This type of low maintenance was a game changer for me!!!
I do them just like you, on streched hair, small and neat sections. The only different thing is that I start off by braiding the roots, then I twist.
I really love how they came out on you! It suits you very well.
I have always did my hair and my daughter's hair like this and the size is just beautiful.. you can't go wrong with this
It's gorgeous Isi!! Loving it. God bless you and Josh!
They came out so good on you. YOUR edges and your twists look so great 🥰
Thank you so much sis🥰❤️🔥
I’ve always loved Isi’s hair.
I love banding the entire style and getting the twists crinkling.
Iconic look, really.
It’s about time isi finally!!!
I love your hair Isimem! It looks fantastic! I've been a long time fan, so proud of how much you've flourished.
This is the only way i style me and my daughter's hair. No more wigs and weave...i feel so Free and beautiful ❤❤😊
just did this style, I did them small on blow dried hair, it took 10 hours but is was SO worth it, I didn't bother with clean parts until I got to the front its so full you can even see the parts, your final result is so cute!! I'll have to use shea butter next time.
Hey Isi! I’ve been watching you since halfrican beauty days and honestly I love how much you and your hair have grown! Sis!!!! These twists are true to their name!!! Really love how they came outtt😍😍
Thanks for being an inspiration 💕💕
This comment just made my day🥹❤️🔥appreciate alllll the love & support over the years sis!! THANK YOU SO MUCH🥰
I love love LOVE💛💛💛 I am all for your energy and how much you were loving on your hair, had me smiling and giggling and just vibing. I've had my minis in for a week and a half now and I'm getting ready to wash and refresh the babies. Thanks for the energy and good vibes!
Love it! Mini twists were my go to as a loose natural. I installed my last set a few years ago and let them lock up.
this is so beautiful! i have locs now for about two years but im tempted after seeing your hair blow dried (reminded me of my loose type 4b/c hair)😭
Hey girl hey! Can’t wait for this one!
Your hair is so beautiful and healthy!
Thank you so much sis🫶🏾it’s definitely come a LONG WAY😍🥹I’m very proud of it
I literally just finished doing my mini twists also for the first time ever,I’m obsessed! Yours looks amazing as well!

Hey Isi Hey! Loving your mini twists! I see you with the hair health with the length and thickness like okkkkk😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥I recently installed some mini braids back in January and I’m loving them! Mini braids and twists are AMAZING! Welcome to the mini twists/braids gang🤪🤪🤪getting these inches all of 2024!!!!
Also, SHEA BUTTER IS THAT GIRL!
Been my staple for my hair and skin since I was a baby! Love it so much! S/o to my Ghanaian parents who always bring it home from Ghana whenever they go! Love to see you use it in your hair Isi! 😍😍🤎🤎
HAPPY TO BE APART OF GANG🤘🏾🥰I lovvveeee & can’t wait to reinstall a new set!! & thanks so much sis❤️🔥
@@IsimemeEdeko yes they are Bae❤
Love this hair style and the edges though 😍 love the relationship you & ur hubby have ❤❤
It looks soooo good !!!❤
I love it!!! I’m definitely going to test this out on my hair. I’m so excited to see how it will turn out 😍 thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
BEAUTIFUL! AS PER USUAL!!❤
I absolutely love it!!!😊
your hair looks beautiful love the style as well
Love it hair came out so 💣
Looking gorgeous rocking those twist ❤
Girl it came out so good❤ now we need a maintenance video.😌
Your twists look super cute! Tfs.
Beautiful hair style!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I love this look on you!!!
This is a great way to start Locs for the girlies that were wondering. You could even add human hair for length
This style is super cute. I feel like my hair shrinks too much to do this without adding some hair. I did this style last year but slightly bigger. I dont like all the extra baby hair out but that part is just preference. Your hair is beautiful goals
My hair shrinks a lot but I embrace it what I do over night though is use scrunchies to stretch it so the next day it’s not that much shrinkage
@@luishanejones7016 I've tried tocembrace it but chile my head is just too big 😭😭 so when I added a piece of hair and did it to the length that my hair is when it's stretched which is a little past my shoulders, it only shrunk up to my shoulders and I loved it. And I didn't have to retwist it very often at all.
I agree, the twists are cute, the adult hairs with the edges looks ridiculous, especially bc her forehead is already small. Regular sized edges would look nice though. And short twists are just as cute as longer ones. I think the shorter ones look better smaller though
I love wearing these...they're an easy and convenient protective style for the summertime OR anytime really.(Just a suggestion) For a little flare, do large/medium sized braids in your twists for a wavy/crinkled look. I love the turn out though
I love the fact that's only your hair thank you ❤❤
I love this look! You got me wanting to go from wash n go to twists
I love the entire look!
TYSM loveee❤️🔥
It's on godamn point 🌺would love to try this once mine grows out, looks very professional too, very pretty
OMG FINALLY a black hair influencer with my hair type😩😩 Just subbed. Now I gotta binge all your videos😅💖
Looks super cute! In my experience, less product allows them to last longer, attract less lint, and keep scalp cleaner so can go longer before a wash.
Love the hair style I can do with out that crazy baby hair bangs
Yes your hair looks beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤.
The note on the mirror is everything!!!❤
Made my heart smile🥹🙃
Isi girl, your hair is so long and thick!! Love your mini twists
Tysm sisss❤️🔥 she’s come a longgggg way lol
I was waiting for this video 😇 doing these this weekend!
It looks amazing! Love it on you ❤
TYSM SIS🥹❤️🔥
Mini twist definitely go crazy! I loved them in my hair and they weren't hard to take out
I just did mini twist on my hair two days ago it’s definitely a vibe!❤
love, love, love this
It came out lovely
Love love the hair edges laid and slayed❤❤
I can’t wait for the follow up to this video! I need to know how you kept them in for so long, cuz I worry about my hair locking up
Ate down! You are gorgeous and so is your hair😍
Yesss twists are my fav protective style ❤
Yes!!!! Love it so much!!!
I would have been crying real tears on camera sitting on the sofa after 2 hrs and you G’d through 7 like nothing 💪.
I have thick hair and although it’s short, it still took about 2 hours to do regular sized twists that lasted about 2 weeks before I took them out. I’m in the process of growing it back out. Taking hours to twist my hair is what kept me buzzing it down to the scalp. I’ll keep braids in also, but I kinda suck at braiding (they’re always too loose and end up coming loose before I finish. maybe I’m doing them too big). Anywho, thanks for the inspiration. I checked out your vid on the heated brush since I was looking for one on Amazon and ended up here.
going natural again I love your channel
I love it, you look really beautiful ❤️
Watching this with my month old mini twists in
I have hair around as long as yours
Been doing this for over 5 years after my hair grew out from my tapered cut(big chop)
Each time it gets longer I say I won’t do this anymore because it takes time the longer/thicker the hair gets + I have 2 kids under 2 so….
But then I see someone in person or on the internet with it and I remember the beauty and convenience of the style and I do it again 😅
I personally freestyle part with my fingers and only use a serum all over my hair to avoid reverting my hair
And I keep mines like 1 month to 1 month /2 cause the roots starts to lock🤦🏾♀️
It looks great on you🤩
Beautifully done!❤
I need to try this. It came out good❤
These look pretty Isimeme 🥰
Thanks so much sis❤️🔥
The video I've been waiting for!! 😍
Lol longgggg overdue but I hope you enjoyed & found it helpfulll🫶🏾
I've loved wearing mini twist since my sister first did them for me when I was in middle school (I do my own now). I'm now a junior and mini twist are still my favorite go to hairstyle😁. One thing that really helped me to maintain them for a longer span of time is braiding the root of the twist then twisting the rest. This way the chances of the twist entirely untwisting is less likely and they'll probably only unravel slightly at the ends.
I love this style. I braid my roots to make it last longer and in 2021 i did micro ones and let them loc for 14 months. Combed them out and just redid it again lol. I probably wont let them loc again but I definitely will continue to do the style every couple months
HAIR GOALS !!! ITS SO HEALTHY 😍😍😍 my tempation to cut my hair and just start again
Your smile is contagious😊
I was excited when you decided to go smaller because that's so me lol. mini twists have been a staple hairstyle for me probably since 2020, and every time i've done them and decided to go smaller (which is basically every time lol, those first couple twists don't stand a chance they're ALWAYS too big) i never regret it! I agree they just look so much fuller somehow when they're smaller, and I feel like they're more versatile too! when I do my mini twists it honestly scratches the same itch for me as having a silk press. i love my floofy fro but the maintenance can be brutal on my ends lol.
I LOOOOOVE mini twist, that's how I wear my hair 98% of the time.
Excellent job Queen. I love love it too. ❤❤
❤❤❤ love it i used to do it but without all the preping i'll definitely try streching my hair first
You Really Can Rock Any Hairstyle 😮💨😍
I absolutely ❤it!
Ivebhad mine in about a week now, installed them using good ole beeswax ❤ cant wait to see how yours turns out
This video made me do my own, started them last night, finished them at 3am this morning and I LOVE them! I did mine a little bigger than yours but I am going to keep them in for 4 months
I felt the beginning with you 😊🥰! I LOVE the joy you had over your hair 🥰❤❤❤ ! ... Also this other usage i saw on my container of African Shea butter, but didnt see on yours is "prevention from windburn" as well. Girl the way I never read these usages until recently & was blown away, African shea butter is that gurlll ✨✨💓
