Ill be in this bathroom crying this weekend.
Mini twist for hair growth is the TRUTH!!!! I been natural for so long but my hair never went past my shoulders. After four months of wearing mini twists my hair is past my collarbone. The key is being consistent in the maintenance of mini twists!!! I keep my twist in for a month but every for every 2 weeks I keep my twists in and only shampoo the scalp and let the shampoo run down my hair length. I deep conditioner and dry the twists till damp and then I undo a twist and finger detangle the whole length then use sweet almond oil or hair butter and retwist the hair. The routine keeps my hair looking fresh and moisturized. If I find my hair to be dry during the week before wash day I just spray my hair with warm water + sweet almond mixture. This routine works with mini braids but it’s alot more time consuming with mini braid compared to mini twists.
Ayyyeee🔥🔥sounds like a dope routine! I barely did any refreshing or maintenance upkeep this first time around on some lazy natural energy lol BUT I will definitely keep this in mind for next time👌🏾 Congrats on your healthy hair growth journey btw😉
I don’t have type 4 hair, but when I first went natural in 2016 my junior year you were and still are my big sister during my journey. I admire you so much and thank you for being that for me. I am the big sister and I didn’t have anyone to learn from.
I started out doing 2 strand twists and keeping them in for months (even washing my hair in the twists, taking them down, and retwisting them) and now I’ve been locked for 4 years 😅 it was/ is the best protective style but it could lead to locs 😂
I always start my mini twist with a braid . It definitely makes the take down process longer but it lasts longer and lays flatter/neater. Love your videos
I thought about doing that at first but i watched a girl’s takedown video of that and it was ROUGH😰 + I LOVED how full it looked the older it got for me personally… wasn’t as “neat” but looked super natural🔥🔥 & thanks btw sis❤️🔥
I do the same cause my hair starts to frizz out on the first day and by the end of the week it is so bad to look at, mine last 3 weeks max cause am not a fan of gel and i do different sizes.

I did my first set of mini twists february of last year and I'm never going back to anything else!!!! This type of low maintenance was a game changer for me!!! I do them just like you, on streched hair, small and neat sections. The only different thing is that I start off by braiding the roots, then I twist. I really love how they came out on you! It suits you very well.
in my opinion i think it’s way easier to just free part the back and nearly part the front. depending on how much it fluffs out and how big your twists are you went even be able to see the parts
This style is super cute. I feel like my hair shrinks too much to do this without adding some hair. I did this style last year but slightly bigger. I dont like all the extra baby hair out but that part is just preference. Your hair is beautiful goals
@@luishanejones7016 I've tried tocembrace it but chile my head is just too big 😭😭 so when I added a piece of hair and did it to the length that my hair is when it's stretched which is a little past my shoulders, it only shrunk up to my shoulders and I loved it. And I didn't have to retwist it very often at all.
I agree, the twists are cute, the adult hairs with the edges looks ridiculous, especially bc her forehead is already small. Regular sized edges would look nice though. And short twists are just as cute as longer ones. I think the shorter ones look better smaller though
just did this style, I did them small on blow dried hair, it took 10 hours but is was SO worth it, I didn't bother with clean parts until I got to the front its so full you can even see the parts, your final result is so cute!! I'll have to use shea butter next time.
Very nice! Seven hours though? That’s a lot! I think I want to do the style but my twists won’t be so “mini”. I like a little thickness to mine. I like the look of it, less time to do it and less time to take them out but you did a professional job! Thank you for the recommendations of those products.
I love wearing these...they're an easy and convenient protective style for the summertime OR anytime really.(Just a suggestion) For a little flare, do large/medium sized braids in your twists for a wavy/crinkled look. I love the turn out though

love seeing black women with fine hair still have big hair. My hair would annoy me so much sometimes, because it is full. Not super thick, but full, but when i braid or twist it down it seems flat. That's natural. Watching your hair makes me excited to see that I can also have the best of both worlds

I love this style. I braid my roots to make it last longer and in 2021 i did micro ones and let them loc for 14 months. Combed them out and just redid it again lol. I probably wont let them loc again but I definitely will continue to do the style every couple months
I would have been crying real tears on camera sitting on the sofa after 2 hrs and you G’d through 7 like nothing 💪. I have thick hair and although it’s short, it still took about 2 hours to do regular sized twists that lasted about 2 weeks before I took them out. I’m in the process of growing it back out. Taking hours to twist my hair is what kept me buzzing it down to the scalp. I’ll keep braids in also, but I kinda suck at braiding (they’re always too loose and end up coming loose before I finish. maybe I’m doing them too big). Anywho, thanks for the inspiration. I checked out your vid on the heated brush since I was looking for one on Amazon and ended up here.
I kept my mini twist in for a month so far and once I took them out… I loved the result!! 😍 So yeah mini twists will be apart of my rotation of styles for sure 😅😊. I love how your mini twists came out 🙌🏾✨

I've loved wearing mini twist since my sister first did them for me when I was in middle school (I do my own now). I'm now a junior and mini twist are still my favorite go to hairstyle😁. One thing that really helped me to maintain them for a longer span of time is braiding the root of the twist then twisting the rest. This way the chances of the twist entirely untwisting is less likely and they'll probably only unravel slightly at the ends.
I was excited when you decided to go smaller because that's so me lol. mini twists have been a staple hairstyle for me probably since 2020, and every time i've done them and decided to go smaller (which is basically every time lol, those first couple twists don't stand a chance they're ALWAYS too big) i never regret it! I agree they just look so much fuller somehow when they're smaller, and I feel like they're more versatile too! when I do my mini twists it honestly scratches the same itch for me as having a silk press. i love my floofy fro but the maintenance can be brutal on my ends lol.

Watching this with my month old mini twists in I have hair around as long as yours Been doing this for over 5 years after my hair grew out from my tapered cut(big chop) Each time it gets longer I say I won’t do this anymore because it takes time the longer/thicker the hair gets + I have 2 kids under 2 so…. But then I see someone in person or on the internet with it and I remember the beauty and convenience of the style and I do it again 😅 I personally freestyle part with my fingers and only use a serum all over my hair to avoid reverting my hair And I keep mines like 1 month to 1 month /2 cause the roots starts to lock🤦🏾♀️ It looks great on you🤩
❤❤❤❤.mini twists used to be my go to. But since we in spring break, hell i might as well put them in. I originally was looking into doing fluffy braids.
I just did mini twists for the first time. Usually do micro braids but I wanted to try something different. I definitely see a change in my hair since doing the braids. So I know micro in any order will work.
I’ve had mine in for 4 weeks now but I wash them, stretch it with my revair and retwist a few every week because my scalp is severly dry. I love them. Even wore them to a work conference and my trip to jamaica
@@IsimemeEdeko No tangles, just them trying to start their own loc journey near my roots but I detangle and retwist most of my head slowly throughout the week when I’m bored anyway. Nothing too bad
can’t wait until my hair is able to do this. no matter how tight i twist, they unravel especially at the roots within five minutes. plus, my hair is short so mini twists look absolutely insane on my round head 😭 i wanna do the twists so badly bc i wanna grow my hair. everyone says just low manipulation helps with length retention, but i’ve been doing cornrows for a while (not tight), and i’ve seen no positive difference in my hair. everyone i’ve seen has had positive reactions to this style, but my hair is too short for my head shape so it looks horrible. plus my hair is thin, so my hair doesn’t move at all it just lays flat or sticks up, it never hangs or flows 😭
Hi Isi! Thank you so much for putting this out! I had the right products, and the size of the mini twists! However, I used each product on the entire twist. And I didn’t blow it dry, to stretch it! I appreciate you putting this out! I absolutely Loved it! Would Love for you to put out a (new favorite hair care products)!!!!

I love love LOVE💛💛💛 I am all for your energy and how much you were loving on your hair, had me smiling and giggling and just vibing. I've had my minis in for a week and a half now and I'm getting ready to wash and refresh the babies. Thanks for the energy and good vibes!
The hair was Givin and serving. Love the look. Gorgeous as always. Going to get me someAfrican Shea butter. For about it. Use to be my go to.
My september 2nd twin you and i are so similar here 😂 i too have started a set of minis and been like “now girl you know thems is too big do it again” and LOVED it.. when i come out my box braids im doing the same 🤞🏽🫶🏽
I just did mini twist on my hair two days ago it’s definitely a vibe!❤
It's gorgeous Isi!! Loving it. God bless you and Josh!
Hae Isi....please show us how u maintained them ...lots of love
Gorgeous, Phenomenal, Creativity Style! Job well done
Watching this with my month old mini twists in
I have hair around as long as yours
Been doing this for over 5 years after my hair grew out from my tapered cut(big chop)
Each time it gets longer I say I won’t do this anymore because it takes time the longer/thicker the hair gets + I have 2 kids under 2 so….
But then I see someone in person or on the internet with it and I remember the beauty and convenience of the style and I do it again 😅
I personally freestyle part with my fingers and only use a serum all over my hair to avoid reverting my hair
And I keep mines like 1 month to 1 month /2 cause the roots starts to lock🤦🏾♀️
It looks great on you🤩
❤❤❤❤.mini twists used to be my go to. But since we in spring break, hell i might as well put them in. I originally was looking into doing fluffy braids.
I just did mini twists for the first time. Usually do micro braids but I wanted to try something different. I definitely see a change in my hair since doing the braids. So I know micro in any order will work.
Mini twist definitely go crazy! I loved them in my hair and they weren't hard to take out
I’ve had mine in for 4 weeks now but I wash them, stretch it with my revair and retwist a few every week because my scalp is severly dry. I love them. Even wore them to a work conference and my trip to jamaica
Yesssss👏🏾👏🏾love this for you sisss!! Did you experience any tangles from washing them??
@@IsimemeEdeko No tangles, just them trying to start their own loc journey near my roots but I detangle and retwist most of my head slowly throughout the week when I’m bored anyway. Nothing too bad
can you do a video showing your wardrobe necessities for going out, business, etc?
can’t wait until my hair is able to do this. no matter how tight i twist, they unravel especially at the roots within five minutes. plus, my hair is short so mini twists look absolutely insane on my round head 😭 i wanna do the twists so badly bc i wanna grow my hair. everyone says just low manipulation helps with length retention, but i’ve been doing cornrows for a while (not tight), and i’ve seen no positive difference in my hair. everyone i’ve seen has had positive reactions to this style, but my hair is too short for my head shape so it looks horrible. plus my hair is thin, so my hair doesn’t move at all it just lays flat or sticks up, it never hangs or flows 😭
Omg iy turned out so good....like wow maintaining the length sold me on the African shea butter...
Your beauty had me
tysmmm❤️🔥 & yesss, the African Shea butter is a game changer💯
I love it!!! I’m definitely going to test this out on my hair. I’m so excited to see how it will turn out 😍 thanks for sharing 🙏🏾
❤❤❤ love it i used to do it but without all the preping i'll definitely try streching my hair first

I felt the beginning with you 😊🥰! I LOVE the joy you had over your hair 🥰❤❤❤ ! ... Also this other usage i saw on my container of African Shea butter, but didnt see on yours is "prevention from windburn" as well. Girl the way I never read these usages until recently & was blown away, African shea butter is that gurlll ✨✨💓
wow ur hair is so long and healthy ☺️🥳🥳
Did this when my hair was to my neck. Never took it out (I Locd) and now my hair is almost to my waist. 😂 It's been 4 years and 3 months!
I love the mini twist they definitely look even more bomb over time and lasted a long time ❤️ definitely have to try these on myself when i have the patience to do my hair this long 😭 thanks for this method though it helped me to know what to use.
I 100% agree!! & You’re so welcome sis❤️🔥hope it helps you when your time comesss!!
My hair is fine and when stretched is thin…atleast it was when I did this 4 years ago (had to check the vid I posted on my channel for time 😅)….but it was cute and easy to style Definitely gonna do an updated one thanks for this girl Wish me luck lol
