I have a 2019 Marlin 5. It's a awesome ENTRY-LEVEL bike not designed for hard down hill jumping , any big jumps. Great entry level 👌🏽 👍🏽. I'm move to the Farley 5 or Roscoe 6 for more serious mountain biking. Love my Marlin 5. Great city. Dirt road , mud riding . Nice review 👌🏽 beat the 👹out of it wow.

It was a 29er originally! I found a plus tire wheel set on market place for 200 and paid my local bike shop to swap the hubs! Turned out alot like my roscoe rides 100% better for my ride style, then i just put a shorter 45mm stem with 25 mm rise bars! Fork is the next step for sure but i have no complaints ive sent a few buddys down black diamonds and they did just fine!

Yea alot of people dog the marlin in the us too!! but its actually a pretty good bike! With that being its not the best bike but if your on a budget not sayin trek is cheap because its not!! But i would recommend in a heartbeat!! But if you can spare a little more cash or save up some more and can bare the wait i would say go a little more aggressive!! Hello. Can you help me? I have Trek Marlin 5. What will be better if I upgrade Marlin. I will install on it a Rockshox Recon 130 mm, 11 speed Deore, 35 mm stem. Or is it better to sell it and buy Roscoe?
If I do upgrade, how much different will it feel to riding the Roscoe? It may be much more comfortable there due to the geometry of the frame.
