aMSa makes his advanage state unstoppable, the fact that his double jump super armour can essentially negate anything his opponent does coupled by his movement that makes it feel like he can be literally anywhere at any time, aMSa looks absolutely unstoppable in 2022, i totally see an axe type super major win 👀🤩
I was looking up the set count between these two but couldn't find it. Looking at the time had me worried but I'm happy for what happened. Good shit to both of these characters.
Amsa is a phenomenal player, and he really tapped in to Yoshi’s potential. And, since he’s such a technical character, that’s really hard to do. If you don’t play competitively though, it’s really hard to understand just how difficult Yoshi is to play against. Totally ignoring the parry mechanic, a yoshi who’s competent with double jump armor and CC can effectively invalidate most of fox’s major openers until considerably high percents. Drill, which is traditionally considered fox’s best answer to both those options, is actually incredibly inconsistent. Not only is it not guaranteed to have follow ups, but is often punishable on hit. Fox really is forced to back air 5 or 6 times per stock before his neutral game opens up at ALL, and it only opens up in that he gains access to up air and up smash more reliably. Nair and back air will continue to lose to Double Jump armor until much higher percents. Like I said, yoshi is a really hard character to play, and Amsa pilots him incredibly well. But an expertly played yoshi really invalidates a lot of fox’s tools. And fox is considered one of his worst matchups. I’m not saying that Amsa didn’t play amazingly well, but I don’t think that the general viewer base really understands just how strong Yoshi actually is. I don’t think many top players do either lol.
Idk if DarkGenEx (sorry if I'm getting caps wrong) or Snacks were nervous about what I can only assume is their biggest ever commentary block, but you two crushed it! Good shit. Also, Snacks low-key has a similar tone & intonation to Wobbles, which feels correct somehow
