    the more tutorials i see regarding drawing the more i want to give up on drawing overall and forever ... it's so easy for everyone to say "yeah good luck lmao use these rules it will be good", meanwhile u use like 50 different "rules" how to draw properly.. i don't understand how and why... For example, why did you change the shape of the nose and it suddenly looks good? There was no explanation regarding that. In which situations those rules matter? In all of them? How to make those rules applicable? What in the artwork should use those rules? I have used many different rules and nothing looks good. Why is my art always so sharp even though i use textured brushes meanwhile you can do two strokes and you have defined shapes? I am practicing every single damn day, doing studies, drawing, trying different brushes, different colors, different approaches when something doesn't work but everytime i see those suggestions, it makes me feel like i have never done a single progress, nobody really explains anything into detail too much and it makes me feel i am missing on some stuff someone is forgetting to explain ... Like I am sorry, I don't really want to be mean but I am really trying to understand everything but it makes me think that you miss some keypoints without explanation and boom suddenly from one WIP to another, it looks good, but why? What has changed? What made you think that "Mmm, okay, this needs to be changed to make it look better"

      I had same issue as you after watching a LOT of tutorials, then I said: who cares ? There's no right or wrong. Forget TH-cam and start doing your stuff. There's a moment where continuous learning becomes useless

    • @MigWith
      @MigWith 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@chinaminer the deal with art is that you'll learn by practice, art is nothing but creating things abusing our brain's ability to recognize patterns, and it's all over the place. that's why a simple change in the nose can look prettier.

      Listen to David choe or w.e. you need to become fearless in art. That's what makes it good.
      Take me. I've had 0 art classes, none in school except 1 class in elementary school. I'm in my late 30s, have never been able to draw better than a good 7 year old yet I can accurately paint photographs in acryllic with 0 drawing ability from the first one i tried. It blew my mind. You'll find your own niche.

      Are you drawing from photos? Or from your imagination?
      I say start with a grid system on a photo of someone. Use grey scale and print the photo.
      Then do the same but with coloured pencil. No need to match colours exactly, just use light and dark colours (values).
      Ignore rules, just copy each square as if it were just mesurements.
      The structure is there so your brain will absorb the drawing techniques like reading teaches you words and creates images in your head. Let go of rules.
      TH-cam is full of advice and some of it is good, but sometimes it's just made for content creation. (Not saying this one is)
