Plot
: After an accident, Fabrice, a fan of Johnny Hallyday, falls into a coma. He wakes up in a parallel dimension in which Johnny, real name Jean-Philippe Smet, abandoned his singing career early on and never became a star. He then convinces Jean-Philippe to become the rock star he should have been.

@@MAGNETO-i1i Really? Have you not heard the internet meme "This is the time-line we're on?". One of the most popular sub-genres on the amateur writers sites on the internet uses a plot device that goes all the way back to "A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court" by Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens). It's a firmly established trope in Science Fiction and has been from the forties, because it's a basic wish-fulfilment story: common man becomes special in their new situation because of secret knowledge.
A maguffin happens, someone dies, gets hit by lightning or electrocuted, an interdimensional portal opens, whatever. Then the person wakes up and they have either been transported to the past, to an alternate timeline where history was slightly different, or another planet or dimension, or they are reborn either in their own body at an earlier age with the knowledge of their adult self or another body, usually someone who actually died and then they go about using their decades of life experience or foreknowledge of events correcting the mistakes of their life, or becoming rich or famous, usually raising their initial capital by a) remembering famous sports upsets and betting on them b) remembering big stock booms and busts and speculating c) using their personal professional knowledge of finance or science or math or music or whatever to do or invent something decades early than it normally would have happened.
Most of this goes under the heading 'alternate timelines' but there is actually an entire sub-genre of this stuff that's called 'do-overs'. I think that trend in fiction started with the book "Replay" by Ken Grimwood.
Favorite Beatles song is *Hey Jude.* My son's middle name is Jude and I played the song every night for at least the first 6/7 months of his life.

I just wached Yesterday and really liked it ! I go the theater all the time and noticed that people are usually pretty quiet walking out. After Yesterday people seemed talkative and happy . Thanks Danny Boyle for another great movie

This movie is only 4 years old, and is already one of my favorite movies of all time. It was beautifully done, and Himesh Patel has an amazing voice. Nobody could ever replace the Beatles, but Himesh did an amazing job in my opinion.

There is some issue with the story coming from a book written by Australian author Nick Milligan being allegedly ripped off by the movie makers ect. After a quick read of the orig book i would guess someone along the line read nicks book and went from there.

I am seeing this for the first time on Dec.1, 2022 and I am wondering DID YOU GO AND SEE IT!!?? IF, so WHAT DID YOU THINK? I saw it 6 times in the theater and now own a DVD of it. I LOVE the movie, I am 75 now and have been a HUGE devoted Beatles fan since I was 16/17 in 1964! Saw then twice in concert here in Cleveland on Sept. 15, 1964 and again on Aug.14, 1966.

As I was watching this movie, it occured to me that maybe a "horns effect" - the oppisite of the "halo effect" would come into play, e.g. the fact that he was a complete zero would diminish the worth of the songwriting, and, by extention, that the songs by the Beatles would not be as popular as they were apart from the fact that they WERE by the Bealtles.
This should be a great movie

I got a feeling it's going to be a fun movie for Beatles fans, but with the cost of tickets these days they're gonna need Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds to be able to afford to see it. Unless they get by with a little help from their friends and go as a group. Imagine that.

The promise for support if you think about it for longer than three seconds. Without the Beatles, there would be none of the other music they referenced in the trailer especially Coldplay

Great concept but if it had happened to me I would be playing greater songs like, a day in a life,tomorrow never knows,I am the walrus,strawberry fields and my all time fave dear prudence, the songs chosen are too twee and predictable and mainly McCartney tracks, who would not want to pretend they wrote 'in my life'??
