@@hartantoanggoro As it should be. Yoko Taro really drives the point home when it comes to this genre: you are killing thousands of dudes in one sitting. You aren't a hero. You aren't even a war criminal. You have superseded that. You are a demonic force. And any world that would be able of presenting such a character as a hero has to be absolutely fucked up beyond all repair. Musou games are really fucked up if you give it even a second of thought. Still fun though.
Berserk is one of the main inspiration for both series (but it's also still possible that Drakengard has indeed been an inspiration for Dark Souls, as a videogame)
That's King's Field, you imbecile. Drakengard and Dark Souls are NOTHING alike in terms of gameplay nor narrative, all they have in common is a bleak high-fantasy setting. I swear people will say literally anything no matter how dumb and uninformed it sounds as long as it has something to do with Dark Souls, fuck off.
I love the whistling motive that kinda sounds really cheap. Like, that person is really bad at whistling and then they attempt to only recreate their favorite part of some random melody they heard once!!! Amazing!!! And also: What's the deal with that clarinet!!! It just starts playing this beautiful melody in the middle of this "mess" XD
Unfortunately, Platinum Games didn't make this one! NieR Automata is the only game in the series they made. The og games were made by Cavia, who shut down after the original NieR.
me choosing my clothing for the day

I was just doing that while listening to this...
This theme pretty much sums up the feel of Drakengard.
dark, bleak, bloody, sadness, grief, etc etc
no positive feel at all for musou like game

This song is essentially "I hope you're ready to see some fucked up shit"
manic psychosis in music form

@@johnobrien9147 the violins.....
I have a seinen manga project, and sometimes, i imagine if i was to make a game of it, this should fit well with a "character select" for it.
Tfw you are left without arguments but "No u" is left
This theme is burned into my memory. And I love it.
Thank you SO much I love this song it's so amazing. I would leave the game on for hours when I would craft figures good times
This song is awful!!! but I put it in on to annoy my brother. Ohhhhhh that violin so sharp. But it is memorable I will give it that.

Welcome to the drakengard series, where we shove in as many instruments as possible
A lot of the music is stitched together from classical music. That might be why.
Platinum Games has low-key been my favorite developer for a long time😮. This game in my top 10 all time
