Scheduling for stage checks and access to a DPE are two big ones no one ever talks about. If you don’t have a lot of flexibility in your schedule, you may find yourself in a tough spot. You need to be very clear with the school on what you can do and you need to make sure you understand what they can accommodate.
Just when I thought I made up my mind about my flight school! 🤦🏾♂️ Your point about being under a Class Bravo shelf at a non-towered airport makes complete sense. Off to re-evaluating a couple of things....
Hey I am going for my CFI very soon. Im trying to find flight schools around NJ to join as a CFI. Does your flight school have a lot of students and are busy enough to have a regular schedule?
@@aviatormike never even heard of them. I will look into this now. I was going to pull the trigger on ATP in Morristown NJ but wanted to do more research first. Appreciate the feedback and help man. Do u have a email i can contact u on ? Are u a CFI?
@@anthonyfernandez5826 It's a Pleasure, Feel free to come and check it out! Yes, I'm a flight instructor as well reach out to me at hello@michaeljcolley.com
Best explanation on looking for a flight school ive seen many videos definitely appreciated this you should have started a channel way sooner than 10 years in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Michael I live in Bergen County and does not have the time to drive an hour and a half to a Flight School , do you have any recommendation ? would like to get instructor with lot of experience . also trying to get Ground School by myself. thank you for your time
Is the CFI route the quickest pathway to the 1500 hours? Or is it the same skipping it and looking for employment after obtaining the Multiple engine ?
CFI is the fastest way in my opinion! If you move to a great state you can get 1500 in a matter of 12 months! What most people don’t say is that other jobs may only fly 40-50 hours a month. Where as a CFI you can earn up to 150 per month !
@@aviatormikeThanks for replying.... I was doing some reading and wanted to ask you about the R-ATP.. I on the fence about using my GI Bill on an aviation major to obtain the R-ATP but I'm getting some doubt if it's even worth it because from what I read online the R-ATP does not really help out much and pilots obtain the extra 500 hours with ease doing a CFI or etc... with that being said what is your perspective on it? should I just go to a part 61 flight School via personal loans where I can obtain all my license and ratings at a faster pace or the part 141 University route and use my GI Bill in a Aviation degree to also obtain all my license and rating with the addition of the R-ATP ?
