- These Irish Islands will pay you £69,000 or €84,000 to move and live there! The Irish 'Our Living Islands' scheme is offering individuals and families up to £69,000 or €84,000 to relocate to or stay in a number of Irish Islands, in an attempt to stem population decline in the island communities. But there are a few caveats!
If you like the idea of moving to a remote Irish island, and being compensated to do so, this video is for you - whether you are interested in more remote off-grid living or homesteading, or joining a town with a few people.

My first experience of Ireland was in 1969 in Ballyferriter and the Great Blasket Island. My Father had a business in Ballyferriter..
I have worked myself in different parts of Ireland as a Master Thatcher.

Yes I’m Irish would love to go back home lost my wife 3 years ago and my son last year it was our dream to go back home it she passed away before we could get there I have try the council for years but no luck kept saying we have no houses

Do they have internet connection on these islands and how about offering digital nomad visas? If they do then more people would move there.
This is not just these islands their is grants on main land of up to 100k

Not a great deal once you explained it and far too cold.
Almost all of this will go to foreigners from africa, the middle east or india lol. Very sad.
