    Hi, I just wanted to leave you this message, to thank you, you say it's your first video, but it was very helpful for me, since I had the same problem, I thought it was an electrical problem, and I also thought I'd buy the spring part But I stopped and checked that video that you posted, and I moved the metal foot up and that solved the problem for me. Thank you very much. God bless you and continue making videos for those of us who need that help. Thank you very much.

      Stuck again. I started the truck, pumped the brakes, and tapped on the brake light switch with the handle of a screwdriver and it's working again. The brake light switch is probably going out.

    • @turn-a-keylocksmith4411
      @turn-a-keylocksmith4411  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      David Delloro from what I understand they have a break light switch near the pedal that needs adjusting not only for your break lights but for your cruise control as well. You should hear the little click as you push your pedal in for that little lock. I think that is a good place to start though good call. The constant moving of the Shifter tends to pull and short wires that are connected to harnesses a lot. I had to lengthen my wires for the manual Shifter because it wasn't working, the Shifter pulled the wires out of the harness for the manual shift. I would also be aware of things like that. Best of luck man! Keep me updated if you'd like.

    The part with the tab is a microswitch for the park position and can be replaced with a replacement switch part# D3M-01K-3 made by Omron.

    Florida Highway Patrol wrecker call I show up to a 2008 Nissan Titan nosed into a neighborhood entrance sign with a trailer.......trailer stuck can’t separate them and make 2 runs so I said fuck it after watching your video and them misplacing the keys I tore my hand into the top of the dash like a saw horror movie and found it pressing around randomly....needless to say used the wheel lift and towed the truck with trailer on the back of pick up like a mini train video helped a ton....wasn’t as reserved but the end result is what matters lol

    is there more than 3screws to take the plastic off?

  • @bryanaguilar402

    Did you troubleshoot the brake switch at all? If so what diagrams did you use to shoot the lines?

    • @turn-a-keylocksmith4411
      @turn-a-keylocksmith4411  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bryan Aguilar from what I know, the brake switch can come out of alignment and not push the button correctly when the brake pedal is pressed. That shifter lock will have to be inline somehow with the brake sensor. Maybe check the color of wires going to both.
      The brake sponsor will defiantly mess with cruise control as well. I’d say chances are that if cruise control/ brake lights are working, then the brake switch is good. The wires in the steering column harness are suuuper fragile, especially with the wires going into the connectors, they commonly break or loose connection. Is yours having the exact same problem as mine did?

    • @bryanaguilar402
      @bryanaguilar402 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ya same thing. Except when I press the switch the shift lock moves sporadically. I unpluged the brown switch and jumped those two lines and the solenoid worked just fine. So im thinking my switch has shit out on me.
