I dont think autonomy should ever be a thing for a truck that is pulling anywhere between 30000 to 60000 lbs of cargo.

It’s coming…i think some look cool but technology can fail too
make em as pretty as you like, but transport operators don't give a dam about how aerodynamic or sexy it looks, they want cheap replacement parts, best possible battery life/diesel usage. Also no point making the trailers look futuristic either, most companies out there will not buy these as they reduce cargo capacity.
I'm glad I'm not part of that future I don't want no self driving car. I've got a good pleasure driving my own vehicle I love driving my own vehicle control in my own life I don't care about AI drive an old vehicle for me I dropped my own vehicle thank you very much.

You do know that the Transit Elevated Bus has been mothballed, right? This was at least six years ago.

WE STILL DON'T HAVE IT TOGETHER (1) Bleep Teamsters. (2) You do NOT need a complete CDL, IF you pull in & pull out of a Truck Stop. (3) Meaning Routes applied for to various Truck Stops & full Teamsters take it into local, off highway traffic. (4) WHY IS MORE PRODUCT MOVED BY TRUCK THE RAIL IN AN ERA OF ADVANCED LOGISTICS ???
What a load of crap. Look at how long it took truck manufacturers to finally put disc brakes on trucks.

You forgot to add that they don't fall apart, blow up or catch on fire. Structural mistakes in the design of all EVs will always have these problems.
My local Tesla dealer has 15kW charger on site, this is maximum output in location.

Dont forget charging stations all over designed with a tractor pulling a 53' trailer in mind that can charge to full in 30mins or less. Any longer and it is a loss in productivity.

Electric semis just wont work in the states. They might work in places with short hauls but not long hauls.
I am a truck driver and on most of the truck you shown are all well in good for airo but they're are 2 things the designers are forgetting. The trailer for the trailer to get loaded all the companies in the world would have to change there loading docks or way of loading. And 2nd how are the breaks applied or lights working on the trailers. Even on the Elon musk knows the tracker and the trailer needs to be connected besides the fifth wheel. They will need to have a air or just electric connection to have the trailer to work.
Look a lot different than the ones I drove . won't be long I wouldn't be needed sucks to be me . Guess I would be the lumper.

All of these trucks are meant to replace drivers.
nope sorry you are mistaken. Think a little , years ago trains took cargo to places where they were offloaded to large trucks for final delivery. now Autonomous Trucks can carry cargo to distribution centers where smaller trucks can make delivery to final destinations. These smaller trucks need drivers. Making shorter runs so Drivers can be home at night and have a decent family life. More drivers, not fewer will be needed to accomplish this.

I don't think trucks that big need to be driving themselves that is dangerous and lack of control of such a vehicle technology gone a little to far safety is out the window 🤔

The TEB will work in China. I don't see it happening in the USA. Far too many drivers here are not smart enough to stay in their own lane with 90 foot long 40 ton trucks next to them let slone that thing. If they see this in a rear mirror they'll think "I GOTTA GET OVER BEFORE IT BLOCKS MY WAY!!!" as they proceed to straddle the road's edge in front of the oncomming blade.

Well I'd hate to take it down the famous I-40 in the United States if you run that truck under interstates you going to have to watch every pothole and if you don't have it at least 14 in of clearance on the chassis every doc you pull into you going to rip out the bottom looks cool for a wind tunnel the totally useless on the interstate
I always wonder why American semi truck companies like Peterbilt, freightliner, international etc. aren't push out new concepts for trucks. Seems they aren't planning to advance the industry, they're already fat off crappy bulky fuel guzzling trucks on the roads. And I understand why the government has to step in at times.

Im a car and driver man. I love to drive. My own mother dosent drive my car, why would i let some computer drive my car? The only computer that drives my car is the intelligent super computer that was made not by the imperfect hands of humans but by the creator himself. This is known as the brain. The human mind. Mankind would have to build a computer that would stand taller than the Empire State Building to match the human mind. Yes, i will drive. If you feel that you're to lazy to drive then be safe and go greyhound and leave the driving to us...lol!!
