The Navya Mini Bus is actually beautiful and seems a good idea for places where a full bus is not needed. The A pillars seem like would impede the drivers vision in the configuration they are now, depending on how high he is sitting. I would like this design to become something like the new VW van, I want a family vehicle with this exterior design, I would drive it every day!

Ive driven a few newer rentals with the radar cruise control set up and have to say i quite like the car keeping its own distance from the vehicle in front it takes some of the stress out of driving.

Well, they most definitely have electronics and sensors that match the speed of the car infront and if need be also comes to a full stop and so on...like any other autonomous retail vehicles available today :)

true, but as shown on the video here we can only see a scenario which would happen on a highway, but what about inside a busy city? where there are traffic lights and more importantly, when a lane change must occur, where there are pedestrians all around.
for trucks it's not a big problem since driving through cities doesn't happen often with them, but with that bus....it's a different story
Thats why they still have steering wheels and the option to drve it manually, silly. They still need to unload and steer it into place. Autonomous driving was pretty much made or invented for highways where your focus drops substantially. I have a friend thats is a trucker and would love to have that.

That won't happen - it's way too much trouble. How about just rent or hijack a regular truck, fill with explosives, detonate with a cellphone - it has worked just fine in the past. These trucks are tools like anything else. We could make all guns fire blanks and dull every knife in the world and you still would have weapons. We need to dull the intent of the perpetrators, not ban innovations.

I drive a Chieftain tank. No problem with heavy traffic or parking. Gets through barriers no problem too. Excellent off road performance. Even once had a police escort from behind, but they did not follow through a wood, which was sad. Thinking of selling it as cannot get a baby seat to fit.

Every one of these self driving vehicles are shown on roads with bright, freshly painted lane lines and other things that are easy for the computer to follow. When are they going to show us how they perform on unmaintained roads, with multiple, confusing markings, and in the rain at night? Or how about when there is a fresh dusting of snow or sleet on the road and everything is coated in a uniform layer of white?🤔

Where i live in Germany there are 2-3 villages where most of the time only 2-6 people enter the bus and int he morning there is an extra bus going to these villages just so people can gert on another bus. I think it could be useful there.
Shuttle taxi, where you need to transport a small number of people at a time between a potentially large number of endpoints. If there's many possible end points, it makes sense to make the cab small so that people never end up having to travel through all of them to get to their destination. The vehicle is also quite slow, a necessity given that it's intended to be used among pedestrians, so it's good for short point to point trips rather than long routes.
It's intended to be used in inner city pedestrian areas, airports, amusement and theme parks, large hospitals and resorts, and large industrial sites. Majorly on private ground rather than on public road.

Mercedes-Benz Driver never drivers will get more technology but still need to park or dock. Plus it will never work out i live in Michigan USA we get snow and ice no machines are going to be able to deal with it.
Right!!!! Dont forget the other jobs such as all the nurses and doctors, lawyers and funeral workers that treat all the injured and killed by truck accidents.
