The Truth Behind Fake Primitive Videos! - MoistCr1TiKaL Reacts

  • MoistCr1TiKaL dives deep into the fascinating yet deceptive world showcased in Sunny V2’s revealing documentary, "How Primitive Building Videos Are Staged."
    In this reaction video, we uncover the layers of deceit that many TH-cam channels employ, straying far from the authenticity that John Plant's original Primitive Technology channel is renowned for. We'll explore how these channels from Southeast Asia often mislead viewers by hiding the true number of people involved in their projects, using modern machinery, and fabricating the authenticity of their impressive-looking constructions.
    What started as a simple and genuine showcase of primitive building techniques has turned into a widespread genre full of exaggerations and falsehoods.
    Watch as MoistCr1TiKaL reacts, critiques, and provides his unique insights on these staged creations. Don't miss out on the discussion-drop your opinions and any experiences you’ve had with these types of videos in the comments below!

      Same happens with shows like Undercover boss, I've seen people talking as if it was real, until you tell them, well, do you really think, that if a new worker came up to work with a full camera crew following their every move, no one would notice something is up? And that no one would recognice the CEO of their own company? And after that, they just have the realization, just because they never stopped to question if it was fake or not.

    I don't mind the fact they use heavy equipment or extra help. I genuinely don't. They're making content, it make sense to make content at a faster speed. The digging is an insanely long process. However, the bamboo's being cut, the 'concrete', the over the top builds. They are supposed to be primitive. Yeah--use an excavator, make the hole. Then do the rest by hand. Don't lie about it. I don't even mind them pumping water in, as to do this you'd need your own land with a water supply... which won't happen easily. There's just... It should still be *primitive* and be actually doable without equipment or extra help. For the content machine? Yeah, use the skidsteers or whatever. Hire a team That makes sense as a business. More content, more money. But atleast build something that is actually buildable. And don't lie.

      It is the lie, but also the wastefulness that is the issue. I mean they put all these materials and resources, and the destruction of habitat, just so they can quickly film the results before it all falls apart and becomes a blight. I mean a gingerbread house may look cozy, but it's going to crumble the first time it rains.

    In defense of the river cement I say this. When I was a youngling there was a large empty field next to the apartment complex we lived in. My sisters and I played in that field often, and one of our favorite things to do was to make mud pies. One year, around Easter, we found a plank of wood and decided to use it as a base for a big mud pie. This thing was probably 2 feet long and almost foot high, just a big ol' slab of mud. When we were done we just left it there to sit and bake under the California sun. When we went and checked on it a month or two later it looked like a block of cement and had cracked practically clean in half. And that was just whatever kind of dirt is in that field and water from the nearby canal.

      Still isn’t concrete/cement, so what’s your point?

    • @SaraBrightScales
      @SaraBrightScales 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@nnnjh8372 I never said it WAS cement, just that it looked LIKE cement when dry. And my point was that if WE could mix up something that dried to look like cement with naught but dirt from a random field in Nowhere, California, then it's not outside the realm of possibility that these people could have done something similar. None of this is to defend these people and their fake content. People who farm view with this fake ish are a scourge. I just wanted to point out that that one occurrence of "regular mud drying to look like cement" isn't as outlandish as you might initially think. How do I know, cause I've seen it happen with my own 2 eyes.

    The most likely reason why the account is US bases while the video took place in SE Asia is because during that time, Google took many countries off the monetization list. Meaning, you cannot earn money from some of the countries listed in the video.

    If you want to see how to really survive in the wild, watch the Survivorman serries with Les Stroud. He's a Canadian survival expert who filmed his own wilderness survival show, as in filmed it while surviving largely with no crew. It's all on TH-cam on his channel because he kept the show right 👍

    A really easy way for thes echannels to prove themselves real, would just be to upload the unedited footage. The HOURS AND HOURS of manual labor it would actually take. But instead they just make it look like they did the work and then cut the cameras and bring in the backhoe

    Before my Mom passed, we used to watch one of these YT videos of just one woman creating an entire set up by herself. At first, I was amazed but then I thought there is no way one woman by herself can do all this! So, yeah.
    A year later, there was a young couple with a baby, doing the exact same thing as the woman from the previous videos.! 😂😂

    It’s the same area that have those fake animal rescue videos. Where they purposely drown of injure animals then act like they are saving them. So frustrating ready comments of god bless these ppl for helping that (animal in danger situation) even when it’s obvious by video start snd how many diffeeent angles and close ups that they were filming for ages befor the ‘hero’ comes in.

    Anyone who has installed fence posts or dug foundation trenches by hand will know it takes ages is literally backbreakingly exhausting. Without tools and plant machinery there is no way these guys could dig holes like that as it would take them months. And that would be with a metal spade! With a piece of wood they would need like 50 guys working day and night. Or just use an excavator?! Job done!
