    You are such a careful rider with interesting commentary. As a scooter rider myself, who moved from NYC in 2023 to a small town in the south, watching your video resurrects many pleasant memories from the road. Sadly, there are only a few scooter riders in my town and hardly any bike lanes for those who do choose to travel via two wheels. Keep riding and posting fabulous videos!

      thank you for joining us on this Full Commute video and welcome to the channel Deena! I really appreciate your kind words. We NYers take a lot of heat on this platform because of how aggressively we have to ride when flowing with traffic. I created these videos in hopes that it would help those from outside of the city understand why we do the things that we do so that they can be kinder to my fellow NY content creators lol. It makes me happy to hear positivity from someone whose survived these crazy streets!
      My wife and I have been thinking about leaving NYC for a quieter life in another part of the country but one of the things that always holds us back is the lack of infrastructure for alternative transportation. Since she doesn't drive, it would be tough for us to be 90% reliant on a car. On my end, it would make me really sad to be one of a very few people on a scooter or ebike! Though I'm sure it's a treat to not have to deal with the congestion lol. Are there PEV groups close to your town?
      Again, thank you for your kind words and thank you for supporting the channel. I appreciate it and I hope you continue to enjoy your time on the channel!

    Love it when you share your thought process while riding through that maze. From someone who rides in rural areas and small towns, the idea of riding in a big city is extremely interesting and entertaining.

      thanks for joining us on this one as well RoadKill! I'm glad that this style of commentary was so well received. It'll allow me to rotate out some of the talking points for the Full Commute Experience series. I think eventually it'll evolve into a combination of thought process commentary and vlogging but we'll see where it goes!
      Interestingly enough, I find myself watching alot of videos of folks that ride through rural areas/ scenic routes more often nowadays. I'm kind of craving the freedom of the open road as I'm hoping to experience less stress on my rides one day lol.

    Hello and thank you for all your videos! I have a Zero 10X and I have learned a lot thanks to your videos and also the way you respond to everyone! Well done and thank you!
    I wish to buy a new scooter this week, and I am hesitating a lot between the Blast and the Klima. For me, the weight and speed are nice (I would be very happy to take the Blast if you know what I mean haha), but above all, I am looking for the most stable scooter with the best road handling! I would like to have your expert advice.
    Thank you very much, and... safe travels!

      thanks for watching this video and welcome to the comments section! Apologies for the delayed response, work and personal things have been pretty crazy the last couple of weeks so I'm finally catching up with TH-cam stuff.
      Both scooters are equally stable and both scooters are amazing road scooters. I would even say the blast has the extra advantage here because it's engineered for high speed stability because of that inverted swing arm. IF the funds aren't an issue, you have space to store it, and it won't cause any issues with your building/ police/ neighbors, I would hands down do the blast max because it's going to be a major upgrade to the 10x. However, if space is limited and you might encounter issues with any of the previously mentioned things, I would highly recommend going with the Klima Max even though its similar to your 10x with a more refined ride. It's so much more under the radar and has a much smaller profile that it's easier to manage.
      I hope this helps!

    Hi Ivan, happy to see you're still enjoying your Klima! Did you decide on getting the PMT's for the Klima ? I got a set for free because of some issues with my Klima (basically, the shop sent me a Klima instead of a Klima Max and I only saw it after 2 months, while checking the serial number on the frame - the box did say Klima Max believe it or not). Haven't installed them yet since I find the CST's pretty good at the moment - but I keep reading that switching to the PMT's makes the ride a lot better.
    Since you had experience with the PMT's on your Burn E, maybe you can shed some light on it (I know you adressed it very shortly in a previous video, but maybe you can elaborate)?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks for watching! Though I really enjoyed the Burn E, I really love my time with the Klima Max. I was fighting it but it's perfect for my situation. Oh man, I'm sorry to hear about the seller's mix up. Did they ever swap out the scooter?
      I had the PMT tires on the Burn E for almost 3000 miles and I liked them alot for that scooter. The tires are grippy, they corner better (since the shape is rounder), and reduce alot of the road vibrations you would get from the original nylon CST's on the Burn E. However, the CSTs on the Klima feel much better than the original ones from the Burn E. I'm not quite sure if they composition is better but the 10in CST is night and day from the 11s. If I were in your situation and had a complimentary set of tires, I would swap them out because they are better the stock tire. However, in my situation, I enjoy the stock tires so much that I don't think that the PMTs are "$200+ installation costs" better than the CSTs.
      The one thing that you need to be aware of is the PSI of the PMTs. The recommended tire pressure is half of what we would use on the CST. That makes for an incredible ride and a huge difference in grip. BUT, your rims are much more susceptible to shattering if you hit a pothole at speed. I had 3 shattered rims on the Burn E over the course of 3000 miles. I've had zero so far on the klima and I've hit some pretty nasty potholes! If you have time check out my 750 mile review of the Klima ( I talk about the tires in that one as well)
      Hope this helps!

    • @Tenki65
      @Tenki65 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@eyebahnrides Yep watched your 750 mile review as well ;) I'm probably going to have them installed when I bring my scooter in for a checkup at 1000km.
      I got lucky, the shop owned to their mistake immediately (even got a reply from Michael Sha himself) and replaced my scooter. Got a brand new Klima Max latest revision out of it, so in the end not that mad about it!
      Thanks for the tips on the PSI on the PMT's by the way! But it makes me think, if the PSI is a lot lower and the tire a lot grippier, does it negatively impact the range ? Mind you, I'm stuck at 25km/h here, so the range is exceptional anyway - but still...

    Watching your commutes has me prepping to ride my Klima Max to work.. 14 miles each way. Half on suburban streets, and half on bike baths. There’s a few stretches of road with no shoulders that are a bit eyebrow raising, but most of the public roads are either through quiet neighborhoods or have decent shoulders. Bought a Predator 6XE helmet and summer riding jacket/pants from Beyond Riders (used your code). What do you wear for protective clothing in the summer heat to not cook in 90 degree weather?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thanks for joining us for this ride as well Jeff! I'm glad that my videos can help you prepare for the commute. Wow, 14 miles each way is a heck of a distance! I hope those 14 miles are much less stressful than my 5-15 here in NYC lol. My biggest tip would be keep the turbo off unless you really need that boost in speed. It'll really help you maximize your range since you have the bike paths, shoulders, and quiet neighborhoods. It's nice that your commute is so balanced because you can chill on the paths and fly on the open road!
      Great purchases and thanks for using my code with Beyond Riders! They're an amazing company and I love their stuff. Let me know what you think of the Predator because I've been thinking about picking one up for summer riding since it gets so hot in the TSG (though its really helpful for the winter lol). In the summer, I just wear an undershirt+ dress shirt under the grey summer mesh from Beyond Riders. If you look at most of my Summer Riding video from the 2023 riding season, I'm usually wearing the grey mesh. If you run into me in NYC in the summer 90% of the time I'll be wearing my summer mesh. The only times I didn't have them on were for the Super73 events because we ride super chill and I gotta sport the S73 gear! If I'm wearing shorts, I'll wear my Leatt Dual Axis Kneepads.
      Honestly, you'll be roasting at those traffic lights regardless of what you wear. Once you're moving the breathable armor is incredible. I hope this helps!

      @@eyebahnrides Re: Turbo.. I actually haven’t tried Turbo yet… just X-mode up to 38mph and quite honestly I turned the starting acceleration down to 3 on both C and X because it was a bit terrifying and hard to modulate starting at stop lights in traffic. I also bought a second charger and left it at work (I work in IT in an office building) so I can top off during the day before riding home, otherwise 30 miles round trip with a number of hills might be too much on one charge.
      I like the Predator a lot. Visibility is great, and airflow through the chin vent is good, though I’ve only used it in 40-70 degree weather so far. I wear eyeglasses and they fit comfortably while wearing the helmet. I have a big head and the Predator with the smallest pads fits fine. I bought a couple extra visor lenses to handle different brightness weather, so I can forgo sunglasses (have clear, amber, gold, dark). It is very light and comfortable. I go back and forth on the protection vs. a motorcycle helmet, but I spend 95% of my time under 30mph, so hopefully these kinds of helmets (Predator/DSG) will keep my skull and face intact.
      Related to that, there’s about a continuous mile of busy 2-lane suburban road with no shoulders and 40-50mph traffic that I can’t avoid on my route which has me a bit nervous, but I figure I’ll just blast that in X mode and hopefully navigate that with not too much drama. Just waiting for mornings to warm up to the 50’s to take the plunge and do the full commute.
      Thank you for the feedback on the summer riding gear! Hopefully won’t be too sweaty getting to work in the mornings.

    I can't believe you're riding in that weather - Canadians laugh at Russians' definition of cold, but ain't no way I'd be on my scooter in 30F/1C weather. Even with my heated gloves. You are committed, buddy, I'll give you that! Nice how you handled the crowd of e-bikes. I wonder how intense that's gonna get in years to come...

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks for joining us for this ride as well! Riding in the cold is a small price to pay to avoid the nonsense that is the NYC subway system in rush hour lol. I hate being packed in a small space with a bunch of sweaty people and having to stand in that one spot for up to an hour. What's worse is dealing with all the crazy folks on the platform. Getting to work on the NYC public transport system is like navigating a post apocalyptic dump.
      I've ridden in NYC for so many years that a small group of bikes like that isn't too bad. As the weather warms up, it's going to get more and more packed. I'm scared to think what it's going to look like on that sorry excuse of a bike/ pedestrian lane in a few years. Hopefully by then, my wife and I would have moved already!

    In London many cyclists run through reds, yeah some people hate it but as far as I'm concerned if its safe to do so, at Walkin pace til you get across, then do it, just don't zoom through at crazy speed.

      yoooooooo, thanks for joining us on this ride as well!
      Yeaaaaa man, that "bike lane" isn't for the faint of heart. The city was planning to move the pedestrian late to the Southside of the bridge and give us the full north side, but they prioritized the cars "needing more lanes" on the top of the bridge. That's when we knew the whole "green initiative/ people first" motto the city took up was a sham lol.
      Spittin facts there homie. Basking in the sun and "fighting in the shade".
      When folks redlight shame me it reminds me of my mom backseat driving. You said it perfectly. Every area has unspoken rules that the locals follow and there's a natural rhythm to things. People need to understand that we operate in the real world and everything will be fine as long as you don't act like a jerk!

    Hi Ivan nice video bro, wish we had nice roads like yours, here in uk the roads are full of pot holes and I had many a buckled rim on my Escooter. My Nami blast comes next week and I was wondering if you use the stock thumb throttle? I’ve got the Nami polish finger throttle coming as I’m use to finger throttle e-scooters. You said in your video you started with 75% battery is that what you charge it to ? Is it not recommended to charge it to 100% ? Keep up the good work 😁👍🏻

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for joining us on this ride DW! That sounds like a nightmare over there in the UK. I hear that it rains alot over there so that mixed with the potholes sounds like landmines everywhere trying to destroy your rims. Congrats on the Nami Blast! Enjoy the heck out of it because it's really a beast of a scooter. I used the stock throttle for about 300 miles on my original Burn E and used them on all the "First Impressions Videos" I've done with FluidFreeRide. I prefer the polish throttle because it's very responsive but it does take some getting used to. I personally don't mind the thumb throttle, I just prefer the polish throttle.
      The only reason I started this video at 70ish percent is because I rode the day before. I'll usually charge up to 80% most of the time but I'll charge to 100% if I know I'm either doing a series of short commutes or doing a really long ride. I'm just lazy so I prefer charging every 3-4 days (depends on how long it takes me to get to 15%)
      Thanks for the words of encouragement, I appreciate ya!

    Hey Ivan. Still chilly here in Montreal too lol so I’m riding much less. Wanted your thoughts on a few things I noticed riding my Klima max. Any tips on not making the brakes squeal? Should I spray brake cleaner on the brakes?
    When I’m at a light and it turns green, it accelerates so fast and makes me want to “downshift” to a lower speed so it accelerates smoother. Not sure what you do at lights. Is it due to that dead zone in the throttle?
    And do you have regen brake on? If so which number?
    Thanks!

      You gotta remember going 30+mph and the type of brakes in super scooters = weird sounds are going to happen.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks for joining us on this ride Faradinho! As the brake discs get dirty you'll get more and more screeching coming from it. You can wipe the disc itself down with a rag with a little bit of alcohol so it evaporates quickly. In this video, my brakes were squealing quite a bit because I've been riding in the rain.
      I don't always ride on xmode all the time so it took longer than expected for me to get used to riding in that mode. The scooter is very torquey so it takes a while to get used to it. My C mode is set to a custom commute setting where I have the acceleration toned down. One of the best features with the scooter is you can control the acceleration power of each of the motors. For my commute setting, I have front motor acceleration set to 3 and my rear motor set to 5. The deadzone is more of a safety feature built in to the thumb throttle. If you plant the tip of your thumb at the base of the thumb throttle and use your whole thumb to move it, it'll give you better control over it. If you switch to the "polish throttle" that I use, it'll take some getting used to as well. It's very responsive so it'll take a while to get used to it. But it allows for fine control over the power and I love it.
      I always have regen on. I always have it at 4 or 5. I personally like the engine braking feature.
      Hope this helps!

    I like the commentary and I want you to also comment on life's issues and situations while you take your trips. I also like how you speak on people's behaviors when they do the things they do. It give us real life examples on your journeys. Thank you so much, your unique. 🫡

      thanks for joining us on this full commute experience video and welcome to the channel! Thanks for the feed back. Most of the FCE's and ride vlogs are that way so check them out when you get a chance. I've just been experimenting with the play by play recently in hopes that people get an understanding as to why we do what we do.
      I appreciate your kind words and thank you for the support!

    What lower light are you using?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks for joining us on this ride! The lower light is the Gemini Titan Oled 4000. It's a great light that projects out really far. So its a great compliment to the really wide stock headlights of the Nami

    I bet your coworkers know that you make content, they're just waiting for you to come out of the content closet, lol.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do have to preface these statements with, I'm not ashamed of creating content lol. I just talk alot about being so exhausted/ tired of doing what I'm doing and hoping that I can become a full-time creative one day. I don't think that's what you want to hear from a key member of a small team!
      But it's definitely a possibility 😭. My other manager just got a scooter and he's been consuming more and more content about it. I'm worried that he's going to run into these videos eventually. Also, with my new direct report researching S73, I think he'll eventually run into my videos.

      @@eyebahnrides On the flip side as pertains to me, I'm actually trying to bring as much attention to my content as I can. I even changed my Xbox gamer tag to a variation of my TH-cam channel, lol. I'm going to start doing the selfie looking cam view. I just gotta make sure I don't aim it up my nose.
