      Woodside is a beautiful neighborhood that's remained relatively the same for decades but is now going through some rapid changes! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and it stirred up some memories for you. I'm sure there were plenty of good times while you were here!

    You explained the filtering to the front strategy perfect. I think the only people who get mad about it are drivers who are stuck in the back 😂

      thanks for joining us for this ride as well Khan! I appreciate that man. It's actually quite difficult to do these play by play videos because alot of what we do is instinctual based on years and years of riding through this hot mess of a city lol. So trying to explain things while fighting for your life is challenging! However, I do hope that it sheds some light for those that love to hate on the way things move through this city because they're judging it based on unrealistic "holier than thou" standards. They get about as angry as those drivers stuck in traffic. As a driver in this city, I can 1000000% confirm that I wish I was the people slicing through traffic in their _____________ while my ass is stuck there in bumper to bumper traffic lol.

      Thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel Rob! hahaha yeaaa man, decades of experience navigating this mess along with the power/torque of the Nami Klima Max makes it easy to navigate and cut through the traffic. The crazy thing is, I was much more aggressive flying through the city when I used to be a messenger riding a fixed gear bike! However, in my advanced years I'm much wiser and would like to survive to see my wife lol.

    Thanks for a nice commute video. Your videos are why I own a Klima Max and now commute 16 miles each way to work on suburban Philly roads and bike trails. Public roads on my commute are along shoulders with 40-50mph traffic whizzing by, which is a different set of issues vs. downtown NYC. Most of the time is in S mode, though sometimes X when I need to keep up with traffic for a one mile stretch when the shoulders are non-existent. The Klima is also light enough to stow in my SUV to bring to our camp at the south Jersey shore in Cape May county. I just did a 44 mile round trip tour to the Cape May Lighthouse on Thursday. Did the ride in D mode to maximize range. Had 30% battery left when I got back. 21mph to start, down to 18mph when I got to the end of my ride and the battery was on lower charge. I’d like to try it in S mode, but I’m not sure how much range I’ll lose. 50-55 degree weather, 220 lb rider, 230 lb with protective clothing and gear. 15-20mph headwind on the way back. 85% was on dedicated bike trail, which was amazingly relaxing. Thanks again for your inspiring videos!

      thanks for joining us on this ride as well Jeff, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate your kind words and I'm glad you're enjoying your Klima Max, it's a great "light heavyweight" scooter. I have a small sedan and It fits great in the backseat so I could only imagine how much easier it is in an SUV!
      That 44 mile ride to Cape May Lighthouse must've been epic and just gorgeous (especially if the weather was cooperating!). Speaking of weather, once it gets warmer, I think you'll be able to do the ride on S-Mode no problem! You'll probably have 15-20% left.
      Thank you for your continued support!

      thanks for joining us on this ride as well! Hopefully, I'll eventually be able to deliver multiple videos per week in the future (if I can ever become something closer to a "fulltime" creator). I'd love to be able to release a video for each PEV every week, along with BTS Vlogging, and product reviews, but its really hard when you work alot lol. We've been dreaming of buying a home in Sicily for a while now and I'd love to ride through those winding roads in the country side with a high performance PEV or eMotorcycle! It's basically an adventure just to get an espresso and breakfast granitas hahaha. It could possibly be like a month of NYC content, a month in Sicily, and possibly a month in Manila.
      It feels like a distant dream but we'll keep with the schedule and keep working towards that goal!

    From my experience the regen braking is suspect because it does not activate your brake lights

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Apparently there's an issue with the way the Nami's electricals interacted with the chip on the LED tail light. For some reason it would lock up that engine kill/ regen brake. Luckily swapping out to the new tail light solved everything and I've just been enjoying the heck out of the Klima Max!

      It sounds really cool. If I ever run into one in NYC or run into a retailer that plans to carry it, I'll request to do a review/ first impression of the scooter. There's two or 3 PEVs that are in the works for me right now. The only thing holding me back from filming is timing. But yea that scooter looks sick at night time because of the RGB lighting. Only thing I don't really like about it is how low the IP rating is on that scooter so I have to be careful not to ride it in rain. Once the off road tires tread wears out I think I'll put PMT's on it make slickity slick on the road better traction. Since I don't use loctite on screws that don't need it, I usually go over my screws once a week and check on the frame every other week. I check for cracks and things like that. I ride the scooters hard in an urban environment but I don't do anything too crazy with the scooter. I find that most structural and mechanical failures occur due to repeated stress caused by jumps and crashes. Other than general cleaning and check ups that's all I really do.
      Oh one more thing. Learn to counter the acceleration by leaning forward and the braking by leaning backwards. I don't put excess stress on the stem/ clamps by hanging on to it for dear life when accelerating or braking lol.

My body gives out before the scooter does lol. Based on my riding experience, I would estimate it at 30+ miles with turbo on and 40+ miles with turbo off on max settings. Just keep in mind that's in stop and go city riding. I'm sure it'll be lower if I lived in an area where you ride for long stretches at top speed with out slowing down.

    How's the polish index throttle compared to te stock throttle? Ive been trying to convince myself to get it for quite sometime now

      Thanks for joining us on this ride Gie! Sorry for the delayed response, works been crazy again and I'm just catching up with TH-cam. Though I prefer the Polish Throttle (PT), I personally don't mind the thumb throttle. The PT takes some getting used to because of how much more responsive it is, but it gives you unmatched control over the the throttle once you get used to it. Also, I like the riding ergonomics better with the PT. I like that my hand remains completely wrapped around the handlebars with it. In my opinion, totally worth upgrading to now that you can order a plug and play version. You could always go back to the thumbthrottle if you don't like it

    Are those mirrors useful and able to be installed on the segway gt1?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      thanks for joining us for this ride as well! These mirrors have a great view and good clarity. It really helps me keep my eye on what's going on around me since I can't turn my head as much when recording. It's a universal clamp so it should fit every PEV. I've seen it on Surrons, Super73s, Dualtrons, Kaabos, and a few others so I'm sure it will fit the gt1

    Can you suggest a good full face helmet? I own a g2 max, looking to get a klima.

      thanks for joining us for the ride and welcome to the channel Dipanjan! It depends on what you're looking to do with the helmet and what speeds you normally travel at. If you're always going at really high speeds, it's best to get your self a motorcycle helmet. You can decide there if you want to do a sport helmet or a motocross helmet or and ADV helmet. It'll just depend on your style and how much ventilation you need. If you're generally cruising under 35 mph, a downhill skate helmet like a TSG or a Predator will be enough.
      I hope this helps!

    NYC makes whatever city you live in look boring. Unless I'm mistaken the only cities in the US and Canada that come close to NYC is Chicago, Vegas, Toronto, DC, Boston and Philly I think.

      thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Blast! Yeaaaa, NYC can definitely do that lol. The crazy thing is, that video was recorded during an easy Sunday traffic. I'd hate to try and do something like this during peak weekday rush hour cus I'd be crawling compared to the pace in the video. I think the closest thing you'll get to NYC is LA in terms of size/ density. I've been to most Chicago, Vegas, DC, Boston and Philly for work and they all feel like small cities compared to NYC and LA.

    What do you mean locking up?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thanks for joining us for this ride! The first generation Nami Klima has been known to have a brake sensor kick in and never come off. It's not "locking up" in a sense where you can't move the scooter from the spot. The scooter will freely roll, however, the throttle can't be used since the brake sensor will disable the throttle when activated.

    what throttle is that?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! The throttle is known as the "Polish Throttle". I bought it locally. However, you can find a purchase link in the official Nami FB group by searching for "Polish throttle". There are several EU Nami Retailers that have recommended a site you can order them from
      I hope this helps!

    What's the world coming to when one has to work seven days a week?

      thanks for joining us for the the ride! Hahaha i know right? Classic overworked New Yorker here lol.
      Thankfully our schedule has been settling down now that we've finally filled the open position on our team. Though I still work from home doing a few things here and there for work on my days off, I appreciate that the days of are a bit more consistent now and they're more flexible with time off requests!
