My father built it. This week he will be 92y/o. The original house was small . The area of the main entrance was the kitchen/dining room, living room to the right and hallway with 3 b
/1bath, everything else around it he built with the help of his son and grandsons.

Welcome to Utuado, PR. The house looks amazing it's a lot of work, but it's well worth it. My parents live in Utuado also (Roncador), and we are always doing stuff to the house. Good luck, and maybe one day we will run into you downtown.

Nice house! Now you can tell the US mainlanders that concrete homes with full concrete roofs and inside walls exist 😂 I’m from 🇵🇷but currently live in the states, I own a house here as well as on the west side of the island. When I talk to home builders here in US and tell them that homes in PR have full concrete walls inside and out including the roof they look at me like I’m crazy and that is not possible for a roof to be built of full concrete. We don’t have home insurance there since people don’t make enough money to afford it and homes need to be built to withstand the big hurricanes we get there each year so this is how we build them. It also adds peace of minds knowing the house is strong and won’t collapse if something falls on it unlike here in the states.
@@fcg243 yes. I have worked on house here in the states and done about anything you can do to a house. Buying a home in PR was a huge learning curve. Even the roof I sealed I made mistakes and then the way the humidity takes its toll on the inside paint is something I have learned also. Thanks for watching!

All you need now is solar power for the blackouts. Mine cost me around 27k and is totally worth it in PR. And some mini split a/c for the hot summers 😂. Bienvenidos a Puerto Rico
Yeah solar is something I would like you to do eventually. I also installed mini splits since painting the place. Definitely thinking about doing solar though.

I need to visit PR to check out the beautiful beaches in Culebra.. I was doing some research, and they look amazing. That one you showed also looks super clear. Here in Texas, our "beaches" are basically swamps.

Very nice work, what company water proofing did you use because I have to also redo my roof in Barranquitas & I was looking to use Sika waterproof coating since they are very reliable
I did It myself. I used crossco 8500 for the sealer. Good luck with your project.
Love the exterior of the home... Great clear calm water of La parguera.. the south is calm carribean sea..the north isvthe rougher Atlantic Ocean

What type of sealer you used for the roof
I used crossco 8500.
Is best to put tile in the top which you can just mop and also fence it all around so no one falls.

Im sure a nice family lived there before they had to move because they couldn’t afford the house they grew up in so some 🤬can have a vacation home or Airbnb. No se vende 🇵🇷💪
I know the man very well that sold the home and he is Puerto Rican and non of his children in the states wanted the house they chose to stay in the states. He had another house besides this one and he sold them both because he wanted to live in Ohio. The way you talk all Puerto Ricans are poor and have no money and that’s just not the truth. Living in the States is a choice just like living in PR is a choice. So take your assumptions elsewhere.
