I did my basic training back in 82,and look back with fondness on my time. The advice I got was.Do what you're told, try your best and keep putting one foot in front of the other,it was true,as the army will do the rest.also it was the best 8 months of my life, and a good laugh too.Wish I could go back.
I agree in all you say, have JS passing out in 2 wks. Amazing how he had changed in many ways, for the good. It's been tough through covid but I think it's affected them all through even more determination. We all very proud of him and he said it's the best thing he could have done. His mum and me put the suggestion into his head January 2020 and he and us don't regret it. Can't wait for the pass out in August.😃🇬🇧
Hi kyle, was wondering when I get my kit issue after i pass my AC (hopefully in 9 days ) and if there is any rules to wearing it. Im very worried for my TST even though im good at maths.
yes mate you may go there for some of your driver training. but, your big pass out will probably be phase 1 either pirbright, winchester or harrogate (depending on age).
Hey Kyle .is it possible if you could have a video of the process to go through and weeks and all those other details when joining the parachute regiment..from the time you arrive at basic training till you get your maroon beret
I never went through depo mate, the first 14 weeks of every basic training is roughly the same but para’s do a little bit extra in terms of physical activity, I have done P-Company so I could go through that if that helps. Sorry I can’t be more help, but I don’t wanna give you wrong information.
As far as I know the recruiting has stopped for commonwealth. I think this is due to the recruiting numbers being dropped, not sure when it will start again.
Hello....what can you advise a person from a commonwealth country who does not have a person who can accommodate him or her in the UK before accessment period. And still wants to join the army
Ummm try to find a really cheap hostel to stay in. You will probably only need to book a couple of days before hand, then just fly back after the assessment centre.
For me it’s the ice breaker speech which I’m most paranoid about

I personally wouldn’t wear it till you have finished training
Also, you do you TST at AC.
Thankyou for the videos they are a lot of help
Thanks for the support mate, glad you enjoyed the video 👊
Thanks sir for the video
Thanks mate, appreciate your support 👊
Just found out because the r.a.c has partnerd with the infantry for basic I'd have to go to catterick instead of Pirbright
Umm really, that should be fun. It’s all the same 14 weeks basic anyway, it doesn’t matter if you go Pirbright, Winchester or Catterick.
Thanks for the advice. Am starting on the 13th of February, 2022
Awesome, not long then! What are you joining as ?
Rlc driver
@@KyleSmithFIT thanks
Could you be going litchfield for royal engineers too? (On pass out)

Kyle is it true that they are going to recruit from commonwealth nations on 2022…
I’m not sure, I don’t think that information has been published yet. I would hope so 😊
Is there any info about recruiting from common wealth
