Happy days!! Good luck 👊
I've been injured for a while so ive got like no stamina😂
Best get to work 👊
Easy pace being 8min miles😂 fair play dude
Cheers bud 👊
Howdy mate, is there a drug test.
No, there is no drug test as far as the assessment center and before you get in the army however, there is a drug test when your at basic training around about halfway through just after you return from a long weekend off. This might have changed since I joined, but I’m pretty sure it probably is the same.
Sir,I try to become a Paratrooper,my assessment is too near now so how will i get more good preparation in Beep test?
Run run run mate, check my recent video th-cam.com/video/4t0I5EkLJhQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IhJzijwxVizDKH13

Are the 21/23 SAS reserve real SAS?
They are reserves, think that probably says enough. Still tough to get in like, so kudos to them but if you asked any 22 lads they would probably disagree
@@KyleSmithFIT "they would probably disagree". According the info on the web the training pipeline is the same.
@@anon2034 umm I thought they missed out certain elements and did it over a longer period of time. Over the course of weekends etc… I could be wrong I have never gave it a go so I have not experienced what it entails.
@@KyleSmithFIT Have you contemplated going to such a course? I read that there are fatalities even in selection.
@@anon2034 nooooo I’m done with the military now mate. Still enjoy talking about and the fitness aspect but that’s enough 😀
Going through the process for the army right now and aiming to start in the summer holidays, I do running before school and gym after school most days of the week you’ve really been a big inspiration 💪, I’m hoping to be part of the para’s 🙏
Happy days mate, sounds like your working hard. 👊
Brilliant advice, cheers mate 👍
Cheers bud, happy to help 👊
This is amazing, just what i needed, bang on time!
No worries mate! Glad to have helped
Had to chuck a like on this, when I started I couldnt do a light jog for over 5 minutes, I could bearly get pasted level 2 (I know...) I'm only at 3.8 right now, 2 weeks into training for it but I'm slowly getting there.
Keep going, consistency is king. Keep putting the effort in you will get there. 👍
about the salary, infantry get paid fuck all but im going in there for a better change. I genuinely want to do this but will it be possible for me to live off the salary provided to me and deposit my money on a mortgage for a house. Whilst my time in there will i be able to start saving money for a house. Assuming i get promoted and actually start getting a worthy salary. Does the army pay for accommodations or is this something that comes out your own pay? During basic training is food that is provided free?
involving myself with a specialist roles will also up my salary
You can easily save for a house, car etc, just gotta be smart with your money and not blow it all (like I did by the way 🤣). Basic training your meals and accommodation comes straight out your pay so you don’t even notice it and it’s very very cheap, talking like less that £100 quid for both food and accommodation. At your unit you pay for accommodation straight out your pay so again you don’t see the money and it’s Less than 100 a month. Food you have a cook house where you have to pay for food but I used to use the kitchen in the block and just shop for myself. I used to spend £30 a week and be fine but it will be a bit more than that these days. If you’re clever with your money you can have like 2 outgoings a month, your phone and food. Rest could be saved
You can't join the para regiment if you're dum ...but you can join all the crap-hats regiments 😁✨
You need to take this down, unless information, know what you are talking about.
Thanks much appreciated 👊
Hell yeah brotha keep grinding
Great advice!! I’m still waiting to hear back from GP then going for paras, for me it’s paras or nothing. A few months ago I couldn’t even run a mile now I’m hitting mid 10s on beep test
Good stuff mate keep the hard work going!
That pace is mint mate
Cheers bud 👊
Just one question so say I joined the reserves complete my training and everything then decided to leave are you allowed too
You need to give 1 year notice before leaving
When i left the reserves i just left there was no notice required. Not sure if this has changed. In the regulars you must have done at least 4 years before you leave and give 1 year notice at the time of leaving.
how does one get into the specialist roles
Apply for it and pass the requirements
8 years just signed off can’t do the job any longer the army is rapidly changing and not for the best
I watched this and helped me to get 10.3 at my assessment this month
Would have loved to capita rejected my application because I had depression after my mam committed suicide. I wasn’t allowed to appeal apparently :/
Very strange mate, medical system is broken 😞
Waited eight months for my selection date, passed selection, still haven’t got my P1 dates four months later
Always depends on the job role mate, can take years if your wanting to join something very niche eg. Dog handler, or something extremely popular like a combat med technician
Legend
I have my selection in 3 days and I’m honestly freaking out
Good luck 👊
so wait does reserves have the choice to get sent out or they dont ?
I believe they do have a choice but someone can correct me if I’m wrong
@ ohh so if they didn’t want to go to war they have a choice I didn’t know that
@ to be honest mate, I think at times like now you would have a choice but if WW3 kicked off it might be a case of you have no choice
@ yeah I get you but I don’t mind going away but I just want to find the right regiment for me and just train to be best I can be and if it comes to it I decide what I want to do because I’m joining reserves
Mate after your morning run is your heart rate low for a few hours after only happening when I run then the days I don’t it’s fine
Umm I’m not sure mate to be honest, don’t really check my HR when I’m not running 😆
@ haha cheers mate
I dont know where else to share this but. i got my ac date 18th feb and ive been told i can still go to harrogate in march. im very happy
Good luck, mines on the 2nd of Feb. What role you going for?
@@frankparker245 parra. Wbu and are you trying to go to harrogate
Sorry for the late reply, mate. im going para, hopefully. Wbu, and are you going to harrogate @frankparker245
If you’re still replying I am applying to be a HR assistant what’s your thoughts on that?
Each to their own, if you think that’s something you’ll enjoy then go for it. 👊
So easy u cant talk properly and your rambling a bit??
If you say so bud
@KyleSmithFIT no I say get some mates or a bird u wet wipe
Why is bro so mad lmao
@@Hellohhhhhh dunno, someone pissed in his cheerios
@@KyleSmithFIT 🤣🤣🤣
Where is the Assessment centre in london?
I believe it’s at Pirbright camp in Salisbury
When will they take the Aptitude test?
I believe you do it at the assessment centre now Mate back in my day he used to do it at the careers office but I think we’ve stepped away from that now
@KyleSmithFIT Where is the Assessment centre located and I sent you a message in instagram can u please answer me I wanna ask something in private!!
Whats the difference between RE and REME ?
The REM maintain and repair Army equipment, while the Royal Engineers provide engineering support to the British Army in all area for example building bridges etc
Got my assessment centre tomorrow at Glencourse, hoping I pass. Highest I got on the beep test was 7.10 and I need an 8.6. The past few tests I’ve done I keep getting a lower score for some reason, but hopefully I can get it done on the day.
Like your content mate. Keep it up 👍🏻
Thanks, will do!
I love this guy alwsys giving such good advice to people (he has rly helped me with my army application) and still humble enough to ask for advice great work mste csrry on what you do 👍
Cheers bud much appreciated 👊
When 1000’s are leaving due to cut backs and woke agendas why would you join? The question isn’t should I be a Officer or Soldier it’s should I join at all?
Not to sound judgmental but did you feel you just joined army to just follow you relatives or did you just crack on and think it’s was for you ? cheers
No mate, I joined cause I needed to do some constructive and something that was going to sort me out and get me on the straight and narrow. The enjoyment for the army came naturally as I went through training
Hey Kyle, I spent the last 2.5 years trying to become a paratrooper just to go to depo, get a partial tear on my Achilles on week 2 which led me to realise the military wasn't for me in terms of how things are done and the mindset of people in it. I gone back to PT and triathlon coaching but feel like I let everyone down and I'm disappointed that I didn't love it Any advice?
Mate you gotta do what’s right for you, if you didn’t like it you didn’t like. Joining the parachute regiment is very very difficult, it’s an acquired taste in terms of how they treat you through training and at your unit, it not easy for them first few years. You may have joined a different role more you may not have, as long as your happy with what your doing now bud I don’t think it matters. Keep doing you 👊
Hey bro I’m preparing to join the forces but I have lot of doubts regarding the process. How do I connect with you ?
I do live streams every week mate, on a weekend I will be put a time out over the coming days
Hey mate, I wanna join the British Infanty but first of all I'm Afghan and i don't have much education to understand and pass the ACT test especially the Math and English so what shoould i do now, I'm physically fit..
Erm, study I guess mate not a lot else you can do. Why don’t you start the process see how you get on and if you fail go away and study so you can pass
@KyleSmithFIT I can't continue study anymore I left school in my 9th grade now I'm 18 years old, If I wanna join the Infantry I don't need to have any formal qualifications!?
What trainers you wearing in this
New balance fuel cell V4, really good for tempo work as they are light as a feather but they also have really good cushion so I don’t mind wearing them on easy runs
How about in between? I'm 25 been a floor layer since 17 but Im thinking of joining the army just to experience it
I would say yes then, if your not worried about being away from home due to responsibilities etc, then go for it
Itw my first time doing it this year mate any tips
Train for it but don’t be to hard on yourself if you don’t get the time you want it’s very busy and can be hard to get moving at the paces you want, constantly weaving in and out of people. Get there early so you can use the toilet and get in to your pen, again it’s very busy. It’s just a good class event in my opinion, just enjoy it
@ cheers mate haha I’ll be a bag of nerves like yeah a lot of people are saying don’t go for a time as it’s my first one I know it starts at 11 but I still watched people coming through the start line at 1
@ if it’s your first half marathon, obviously push yourself but just try to enjoy it. Get your time then make a plan to improve is what I would say.
@@KyleSmithFIT thank you mate I’m thinking around 2 hours and a half I can do 6 mile at a hour at the minute and only been running since January last year
@ yeah mate, if your consistent between now and then you could probably go for quicker. There is plenty of time
Mate do a vid on what your eating day to day bud ❤
Coming soon! 👊
Hey kyle im part of the commonwealth could you help me with the recruitment process?
I can’t sorry, haven’t got a clue how it works unfortunately.
I love your content
Cheer pal, hope your well.
I’m an ex regular medical discharged in 2016!and my fitness has dropped and bmi has shot up however I’m now applying to go in the reserves and so far so good passed everything up to now just need to prepare for my assessment center yesterday I restarted that fitness journey and it’s a lick I’m 34 now Weight 139kg at 5ft 11 my bmi is off the scale literally so now I’m giving my self 4 months to get back into it and ready watching your videos have really helped
Good stuff mate, keep it going. 4 months of solid work on the diet and fitness you’ll be in a good spot 👊
