    It's been about a couple months since I've had my hands on the OnePlus 12, and let me tell you now, this is the most affordable FLAGSHIP Android smartphone you can buy with the best processor and one with a massive 5,400mAh battery. Whether you like or don't like OnePlus and their phones, the OnePlus 12 in my opinion is a pretty interesting package for its price.
    Most phones with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and big batteries usually starts at $1000, but this? Starts at $799 which is pretty compelling. Plus with insane trade-in deals via the OnePlus website, price can drop even more. So, how's it holding up after the updates?

Not because the oneplus 12 is not a good phone, but because they're planning on releasing the 13 ahead of the normal schedule (Nov I believe) and to me it's nicer to have a brand new release.

Customers are crying for this in different social media platforms for the replacement but the replacement units have the same problem and Samsung is not doing to solve this issue. Even fonearena and Tom's guide acknowledged this in their latest reviews. My priority is the display...not the camera for which l ordered the OP12. This time OP didn't buy the display from Samsung for the green line issue insted got it from BOE and BOE made 2 years in reserch making this display. I always laugh when I hear people say that OnePlus is back. In fact, they were never gone. People just didn't want to pay the higher price for the 9 and 10 series. Hypothetically, if there was any resurgence to the brand it happened last year with the 11, pad and open. All three devices were well-received and came at a price that people were willing to pay.
    I'd also like to state that the OnePlus 12 is not a flagship killer. Frankly, it is a full-on flagship with all the trimmings. Furthermore, I wish people would stop using the term "flagship killer". Today, it is nothing more than a dated term and it means absolutely nothing. Again hypothetically, if there was an argument to be made for a flagship killer it would definitely be more about the OnePlus 12R. It's a device with last year's flagship specifications but, it's mixed with some mid-range features. Thus, something that could be viewed as a flagship killer.
    As far as the price of the OnePlus 12 is concerned, every device has gone up in price. In fact, it has absolutely nothing to do with the technology market. Here in the United states, we've been dealing with a horrible economy and massive inflation for the last 3 years. That's why groceries cost over 30% more than they did just a few years ago. Higher prices on everything including smartphones have gone up.
    I'm a little stunned to hear you say you're only getting about 7 hours of screen on time. My average screen on times are somewhere around 10 hours. Moreover, that's on a heavy day of use. It sounds as if there's either something wrong with your device or there are a few holes in your testing methodology. Once more, you are supposed to turn on high performance mode when conducting benchmark test on a OnePlus device. That's how their devices work. In fact, I don't believe there's any bug to be had.

    • @HeyMarkL
      @HeyMarkL  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

The 9 series utilized the Snapdragon 888 while the 10 Pro offered the Snapdragon 8 generation 1. Qualcomm had problems optimizing both of those chipsets. In fact, other manufacturers that utilize those processors for the devices experience the same issues. Don't even get me started on the 10T. It had an amazing processor with the Snapdragon 8+ generation 1 that came later in the year. You just have to get used to it, find a pocket or someplace to keep it on. First couple of days, doesn't leave my hand, haha I'm in Greece, we have fanny packs, shoulder pouches, crapload of stuff to put it in.... I'll one thing though, we know it's a beast all the features etc I went out last night to play some Pokemon go for 1hr 20 minutes, continuously playing with the screen, got home the battery was at 96 fckn %. That was more than enough for me to tell all my friends who can afford it to go out get it. My only other choice, vivo x100, but taking ages to get here in Europe, only black, and all that talk of poor stability and the dimensity 9300 throttling after 20 minutes put me off. If you do get it, drop me a message, tell me about it.

      @@thehomiedan6378 Coming from motorola edge 30 and 40 at 6.55, it is big and thick and heavy, more so with a decent case. I'm in Greece, so we still have fanny packs, shoulde pouches and other stuff to carry it in, haha It hasn't left my hand though since I got it LOL Anyway, we've heard all about the phone and what a beast it is, but I'll say this, went out last night to play some pokemon go, an hour and 20 minutes later when I got home, I was at 96% , amazing. The only phone I also considered the vivo x100, but hard to find accross europe, only in black, and all those reports of poor stability and dimensity 9300 throttling after 20 min, put me off. The only smaller powerhouses you can get, probably s23 or xiaomi 14... If you get it, comment how it is.

      Hi mate, how do you find the curved screen glass? I used to hate Samsung curved screen. Is it a mild curve? If you understand what I mean. How is it 'off axis' do you have to look at weird artifacts from looking at an angle?

      @@Grantly It'just fine from any angle, I personally like curved phones, but I will say that coming from Motorola edge phones with a very curved screen, the screen on this is curved just a bit at the edges, but you're not gonna like the rest of it, the side of the phone is a semi circle! The metallic body is just one curve from front to back, and considering it is a thick phone, you can tell straight away, so either you like it, hate it or don't care...
